Freiren beyond journey's end has come to an end. Shoutout to one of the best anime adaptations that I've ever seen, as well as one of the most earnest stories ever told. I will be keenly waiting for the announcement of the second season soonest.

Starts out slow but becomes incredible later on.

The first 7 episodes were very mid in my opinion...It took me 3 tries to watch...
I slept off over 10 times before episode 8...

Yet somehow it became incredible later on. The character writing went up a notch...same as the worldbuilding... everything just suddenly became good

Currently at episode 22

all episodes were incredible from the very beginning, maybe the slow pace is not for you, but there were nothing short of masterpieces.

My only grip are the episodes where the goatee priest joins them, they felt too slow for my liking

But when it comes to Jujutsu Kaisen, they criticize it for being "unnecessarily complicated and complex"

the main criticism I've seen of this is that while nen system is deep and complex, the cursed energy system while complex is only skin deep.

On a more serious note. Saitama can punch through a spiritual dimension. Saitama can time travel. He can shrug off psychic attacks from Tatsumaki. He can move faster than light.

Gojo has never been shown to tank the things that Saitama can. It's easy to call your power limitless when you haven't been punched into the moon.

It's been a while but if I recall correctly, the ending of Worm had Contessa hitting Taylor with two perfectly placed headshots and removing her powers. Taylor then reunited with her father and they lived in one of the other Earths.

this would have been really shiity but you know wilbow and his love for depressing storytelling. At the end I think as an individual you just have to have a headcanon of which ending you believe.

I've only ever even heard of it once before

It's a very niche anime, a slice of life/supernatural anime with an anthology format, dealing with a supernatural witch doctor that travels around the world healing all kinds of ailments and problems caused by supernatural creatures called mushi. It has next to no action really. But if you are looking or a series that has vast amount of story telling and tranquility then it's the series for you.
