Thegamingorca: I read his first post back in 2018 tho and he does have reason to believe why it might be refused.. but I think the ECO played his loved one dirty. 😂😂😂😂 They always play everyone… it’s more like a game of luck I would say… maybe his loved one didn’t have a cogent reason for the length of stay, so ECO assumed his loved one was probably working secretly… 🤷🏾 And who knows what the said loved one put as employment status? All that are what were used to judge her |

Gentlesoul3268: Quick question
If someone choosen owning house when filling visa application, is it necessary to submit any documents since they didn't ask ?
If necessary to submit documents what document can be submitted? Note the applicant doesn't have CofO Provide evidence that you actually own the house. Whatever you claim, you prove it |

Kiki25: If on my application, I say I'm applying for 2 weeks buh I end up staying for 1 month, will it have a negative impact on my future applications? No it won’t. Visa expiration has different timeframes, depending on the length of your visa. For 6 months visa, unless you overstay 6 months, you have no issue even if you stay up to 5 months |

I paid £70 for a 'flexi' appointment for my biometrics at my local TLS Contact centre yesterday as there were no available dates for self-service appointments until April 2023 (which is when I intend to travel) but I am yet to receive a payment confirmation.
The date of my intended appointment is Monday next week. Can I show up at the centre with an email printout from my bank confirming the payment as well as a printout of a screenshot of my application page showing the appointment date?
Thank you. Yes you can |

Kiki25: Hi guys. So I applied for a visit visa last December and was refused. The major reason was my financials and ties. The ECO said that my personal account was inflated which is actually true but because I got 2 contract jobs just a month before I applied (they are both HR jobs and was supposed to be for just a month) and they paid me through my personal account, though I presented the contract documents). And there are also monies from my boyfriend and siblings which I explained in the cover letter I submitted.
My boyfriend is sponsoring the whole trip as he is in the UK (not as a student), all his necessary documents were submitted. And we want to try again since my birthday is coming up.
So my question is, in the previous application, I presented my salary account and savings account and also my piggyvest account. Now, for the new application, I want to submit just my salary account and declare that I don't have other source of income...is this going to be a problem?
Also, since I don't have any assets, how else can I proof my ties asides my work?
Please I need you guys to critique on the refusal and advise 😔 So in order words, both the savings and piggyvest are both savings. See the issue here is not about just having savings, you need to show the origin of these savings. How you have been depositing the money monthly, as well as the origin. Your savings should have a custom, just like your salary. There has to be a build up. You can’t just attach different savings account without appropriate origin of funds. As that is what the ECO is saying there. In your next application, still include your savings, but explain where they came from. If from your salary, show atleast 2 or 3 times such amounts left your salary account, or if you did that for 6 months period, also indicate all of that. From there, the ECO will be able to judge your circumstance. Every bulk deposits or withdrawals in your accounts asides from your salary and monthly expenditures, should be explained. |

NdiEgede: Okay for emphasis, I just finished my studies around December, but I currently started an unpaid internship within the school too. As per how I survive, I am placed on a monthly stipend of 25k from an uncle. And I occasionally get lots of cash gifts from my siblings and relatives. In addition to being an intern, I work as volunteer historian in a cultural institute and I have been with them for over three years. How about these? Honestly, these ECOs think left sometimes.. they do their job without emotion. Now, an emotional person will see all you’ve written and consider your application, but you see those ECOs, they want you to “COMPEL” them. In order words, force them with a strong conviction to give you the visa. Let me give you a practical example of what the ECO would assume if you were to hand in your application. The ECO would say, since your family is your means of survival here, and you are going to visit your sister who is also family, there is a high chance of illegal immigration as you sister can hide you and fend for you. Do you get? If she was your wife, it would have been a different case. If you had a property you rent, that would’ve helped. Also, if you were the only child of your parents left in Nigeria, we could say that you are the only one that takes care of your sick parent since your sister lives in the uk and she can’t come back home regularly to attend to your mum’s needs because of distance. So since your mum is very sick and can’t travel, that you are going to represent her in order to help your sister for two weeks, as the only relative she has left. That all necessary arrangements have been made for your sick mum whilst you will be gone for two weeks since your dad is late and no family to attend to her. You can show proof of payment to the carer etc for that period of two weeks. If possible, you can make a short video of your mum in a sick state, granting you her permission to go on the trip, and demanding you come back as soon as possible. This is just my opinion, because this your situation is tough honestly |

Ashirioluwa: I saw this on the GOV.UK website
9. Documents you should not use as evidence
Some types of documents are less useful as evidence in visit applications. These include:
- Bank statements or letters issued more than 1 year before the date of application - Credit card statements - Driving license - Educational certificates that are not listed as required for your visa - Evidence of car ownership - Personal photographs - Notarial certificates - Business cards - Hotel bookings - Flight bookings (unless transiting) - Photocopies of bank cards - Certificates relating to leisure activities, for example, sports trophies - Travel Insurance - Sponsor’s utility bills - Sponsor’s council tax bills
You may be asked to provide additional information by a decision maker.
It really baffles me when I saw hotel booking and sponsor's utility bills among the list of documents we should not use as evidence.
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/visitor-visa-guide-to-supporting-documents/guide-to-supporting-documents-visiting-the-uk#documents-you-should-not-use-as-evidence Very soon they will no longer accept documents, but opt for one on one interview like the U.S embassy.. |

NdiEgede: Ok so, we have a letter from her hospital stating that she is expecting a child and thus needs help. I’m currently interning, without pay. Also getting a letter from my organization. Are these good enough? Do you have other suggestions?
I intend staying for about 3 to 4 months. Is the 5k pounds a lot for this duration please? Ok, if I may ask, how do you survive in Nigeria then, since you have stated that you partake in an unpaid internship? Your sister’s circumstance isn’t an issue. Another problem is you saying you will be staying for 3-4 months, that’s a huge red flag to to the ECO. You must have something that is supposed to compel you to come back to Nigeria. Like Giselle said, this your case will be hard o. Had it been that you have a good job here, even if you plan to japa when you get there, it won’t be suspected |

giselle237: dey play.. asin they would give you visa for an uncle to sponsor you to go for a relative’s graduation with a salary of 30k profile? Not going to work .
For a visitor visa, the most important is your financial integrity in your home country. If you can prove strong financial ties, then there is a high probability for visa approval. You are right, but since he got a sponsor, don’t you think he got a chance? Provided the sponsor is financially buoyant? Ifeanyi Ubah sponsored a group of people to the uk sometime, and they all got their visas.. that’s just the angle I am seeing things from |

SarahKrm2: Hello All
I was given a Zanzibar visa which expires later on this year, could I include that in my uk visit application as a reason I’m returning to my home country as I would be going on another holiday? It’s not necessary though. If it was that you had something that would desperately need your attention and presence in Zanzibar, that could’ve been fantastic. Maybe something like a business trip or work related. Could’ve be fantastic. Regardless, you can still declare it anyways. Goodluck |
