If you are traveling with a minor, you need a consent letter, a notarized letter of consent from the child's other parent or legal guardian, permitting for the child to travel with you. This letter should contain the other parent's full name, contact information, signature, and the child's full name and date of birth. If the other parent is deceased, you must provide a death certificate. If the other parent's whereabouts are unknown, you must provide a court order showing that you have sole custody of the child.

A copy of the child's birth certificate should be included.

Also include picture evidence. You both might even snap a picture holding the consent letter together.

I applied for a student visa, priority to be precise, bio was done on 20th of January, decision was made on 23rd January and I got BRP mail on 26th of January but could you believe that since then ukvi refused to send my passport back to TLS for collection, I have been battling with this for long, I keep going to IKEJA TLS but the truth is even the so called TLS are not ready to help and now my school told me not to bother coming again even if my passport is return back to me. You must have this money for at least 28 consecutive days. The end date of the 28-day period must be within 31 days of the date you apply for your visa.

In simple English, you need to make your application within one month, which is 31 days. And out of that 31 days, the money supposed Dey for your account for 28 days straight, after which you go send your visa application.

Good morning people, please I need your advice on this.

My brother wants to apply for UK visa renewal. Has been issued visa thrice before and the last one was 2 year visa. He eqrms about 800k monthly from a good organisation. The challenge is that he hardly deducts from his monthly salary leaving his balance at about N5m with a debit of less than 300k.in six months.

His expenses of about 200k monthly are from his savings account with bank A which he doesn't want to add because there was a POF payment that passed through it during the period. He has another account with bank B that has some inflow and outlflows too but not that much as his other savings account in Bank A.

He wants to reapply for 2 years....but worried that ECO would wonder why no debits on the salary account.

What do you advise?

He should start using his salary account for expenditure spendings for the next six months. Otherwise, he should be ready to provide the account that has the proof of his monthly expenditure.

The difference is there in the question you asked already. One is to notify you of getting your BRP, the other is to notify of collection/pick up.

The ECO will just laugh. So you work hard to earn 8 million a year, only to want to blow 2 million in 4 days? That’s unrealistic 😂 please don’t set yourself up. Just make everything to be very cheap and find the cheapest flight. At least 1.2m on the trip should be ok

Guys please I want to make enquiry concerning form A The application is on the ADB_SUPERVISOR stage but the status for the ADV_REVIEWER stage says “Recommended for rejection” due to insufficient funds. The account has now been credited with a sufficient amount. I’ll like to know if this hinders the success of the application. Should I restart the application or go to the bank to let them know I’ve credited the the account ?

If she didn’t receive any refusal mail, then it’s likely she got the visa. But first, I think she should check her spam box to see if anything is there. If nothing still, then she can only be hopeful until she gets her passport.

You can try your luck. No one can really say for sure how the ECO might view it, but to me, I think that seems good as long as you can provide evidence of where the funds you have been sending into the Monzo account came from

I was like, people are seeking visa, someone had and was waiting for 90 days before collecting. I can't tell if he was granted or extra documents were requested of him which he was ignorant of..

I don’t think those 2k, 4K and 5k credit would be an issue as they are not too big a sum, so far it isn’t consistent for all the 6 months. As that might alter the total amount he earns per month. Well, he has submitted already, so not much can be done other than to wait for feedback from the embassy.

you don't get it sir, my business can afford to pay me up to 900k monthly but since I am the owner of the company (enterprise) does it make sense to pay myself salary since the profits can be reinvested in the business and I only take out my living expenses.

It is right you pay yourself regardless. It will even be more advantageous when you pay yourself that 900k and only spend your living expenditure of 75k out of it. Moreover, there is a part on the form that will ask how much you spend monthly.

You can do this for a year atleast before making application.

So you pay yourself 75k and spend it all? It means your account is quite poor. Even if you don’t spend all, it’s still the same result. It shows your business isn’t earning enough for you to embark on such an expensive trip.

Sending large sum of money few weeks or days to your application is tantamount to a hot refusal.

Also, Some people are saying i have to apply for another 6 months, before i can apply for 2 years. Can i apply for 2 years Visa straight after the first 6 months, or must i apply for another 6 months?

You don’t need to wait for you visa to expire before reapplying. As a matter of fact, it will even help your application.

There is no restrictions as to the length of visa you wish to apply for. You are free to apply for 2 years if you wish.

Hello, my mum is self employed and works in a sawmill, she has two Bedford trucks and workers and she makes about 15m annually and she uses her personal account. We never applied as employed and both application her business documents were submitted! We provided her tax documents, receipts, registered business documents, sawmill bills, trucks documents and all that. She chose Birmingham cos we heard it’s cheaper. First time the application was made, the question about how much she makes annually was misunderstood as profit she makes from her job. Then second application we realised they actually meant how much does she earn from the job in total but what I failed to do was address it in the cover letter. We provided bank statement showing transactions from different customers with descriptions and also receipt to back it up. My mum uses her personal account for business so her customers and clients pay into her account when making purchase. It’s hard to determine how much she makes annually as each year is different. By the way to avoid other mistake, is her annual income the profit she makes or how much in total she gets from customers.

Ok I get you now. You see, the mistake you guys made was reapplying again without letting the whole thing cool off after the first refusal.

Well, I admit the fact that I probably didn’t see self employed in the first refusal. I guess it must’ve been typing error from the ECO.

How much she makes annually is how much money she rakes in per year, which of course includes profits.

One problem with using your personal account for business is that transactions in the account cannot be understood easily. You know they also ask how much she earns per month, they would like to see that. Since her business is already registered with the CAC, why not get her a business account? So the money from her business can be going in there? From there she can be paying herself monthly from her business. That way, her finances will be straightforward.

Just work on the afore stated and Kindly give it some time before reapplying again.

My mum has been refused twice for tourism, first reason was because the money she mentioned she would be spending during visit was about 80 percent of her annual salary. A silly mistake and a misunderstanding . Then we applied the second time again increasing the annual salary and reducing amount to be spend for trip of course she was refused again. I would be attaching both refusals below. Now she’d like to apply for the third time and I’ll be adding an itinerary, spreadsheet explaining her annual income and receipts as well and also another cover letter. What else can we add as I don’t want to miss anything this time.

Omo, make Una no Dey complicate things for Una selves. First she apply as employed with an annual earning of 5 million. Barely few months later, she applied as self-employed with annual earning of 15 million. Make Una try stay one place. Reapplying again will be tantamount to refusal.

You guys need to chill for sometime before thinking of reapplying again.

How much was she paying herself monthly from her business? A business earning and making profit should be able to remit salary. I believe that part was missing.

Again no proper research done about the place you plan to visit, which is not a major tourist location for a first time traveler. Owing to the fact that she has never embarked on any foreign travels before.

Lastly funds in her account that did not connect to what she stated in her application. Probably since she stated employed and self employed, nothing to show that situation is as she stated
