I took the test too but have not heard news yet. Have u been able to get any info on this thread so far? |
@ ifetope, The "Executive" here (from my post) denotes part time, while the "Regular" is used to mean the full time program. I guess this clears the air as par your reply |
My fellow Nairalanders, I received a mail from an oil Company in Benin, Cotonou (Sonacop oil co. to be precise) offering me a job as an Operations Manager with a monthly take home of over 18,000USD plus other mouth-watering packages. This was after series of correspondences on the net. After discovering it was a scam from our fellow brothers from that side of Africa, I discontinued communication with them. But, these guys have continued to mail me asking for payment for visa to come over to resume my "appointment" for which I will be reimbursed. See me see trouble oh, na by force ? Anybody in the house had such offer? |
Hi texluv! Just read your thread. I am interested in the safety sector and would very much welcome the opportunity to meet or discuss further with you on a career in safety. I am a Chemical engineer with a Master's degree and have always had a passion for safety related issues.Though, I don't occupy a safety position in my present job as I only act as a safety representative but would like to get into the main stream of safety full time. I hope to give u a call soon. Mr. Okeh |
@ fofavour The requirements are almost the same except that for the MBA-Executive, candidates are expected to have a minimum of three years post graduate working experience in managerial position. Although, I don't think this condition is strictly followed as I know some guys who have not even had up to a year experience currently running the program not to talk of occupying a managerial position. Tuition fee for the Executive program is about N300,000.00 for the present academic session (2006/2007), and could get up to N350,000 with payments for registration, acceptance and other miscellaneous fees. Fees for the regular program are about 75% of what obtains for the executive. The Executive program runs for 2 years (4 semesters - 5 courses /semester), while the regular is for a duration of 18months (3 semesters-7 courses /semester). Well, the prospects and benefits are obvious good but at the same time in God's hand. Cheers! |
Well, I undersand how you feel, but really so many things need to be taken into consideration before zeroing-in on either staying back home here on crossing the borders. I mean things like: your age, nature of employment, years of experience(if any), field of study, marital status et cetera. Some few years back (precisely in 2005), I took up a Master's degree in Unilag. even though I could afford (though narrowly) the cost of studying abroad as I could not imagine leaving my job with well over 4years experience abroad with the prospects not so wide as against studying in naija. Less than a year after my M.Sc. at Unilag., I was promoted to an Assistant Production manager and even as I write, I have already purchased the form for a third degree (MBA) in same school. So, Oneal BU, doing a master's in the UK is obviously better by miles, but rally around those issues raised above and final your decision will equally be obvious. Good luck! |
I plan to enroll for the MBA program at the University of Lagos but have not yet heard any news as par the sale of forms for the 2007/2008 academic year. In 2005, I remember buying the form in May, infact we were already through with qualifying exams by this time then. Any one with first-hand information on latest developments? |
