This is a good move sha, but let government try as much as possibly to provide good road, constant power supply, free eduction and industrialization of the state. I think this will naturally eliminate crime.

LiteratureRe: How Can The War On Piracy Be Fought? by mrperfect(m): 4:44pm On Dec 09, 2009
mrperfect:
Armed rubbery, kidnapping and piracy which one is better?
tanimz:
None is better.

All three have different results.
Then, Government should try all their best to provide jobs to the people by investing and industrializing the county as  much as possible.
In addition they should make it a priority to have constant power supply and good road. People always said they can take care of themselves if there are such infrastructure.
Directly fighting crime can never solve the problem, we have had a lot of programs in this country that gear towards empowering the people
Such as Poverty alleviation by last government.
I don't think those  programs yield result, because if it had, we shouldn't have had poor man in the country by now.

If you chase on one area they will go to the other, without above suggestion, Fighting crime with gun and programs is like thinking like ancient Pegans who thought they could prevent earthquake by sacrificing  a goat, the problem with this thinking is that not only it produces anxiety, nobody ever come along to tell them they have sacrifice enough.

We need to think beyond surface, you can't use short time solution to solve long time program.

Car TalkRe: Aba Ingenuity-people’s Creativity Rebuilds Banned Okada In Aba To Tricycles by mrperfect(m): 3:01pm On Dec 09, 2009
proudly9ja:
I am not Igbo but I really admire the ingenuity of these people. They are really one of the reasons one is proud to be a Nigerian. It is just so sad that we live in a country where such is not supported. Imagine if the government could support this 'industry', our country could be exporting 'tricycles' in less than 3 years to other countries. However, trust our leaders, they will gladly rather import from Ghana than support a potential market in Nigeria.

I have said it here before and I will say it again, our leaders just need to give us constant power and we Nigerians will do the rest! If I was President, I will permit all industries to generate their own electricity and even give tax incentives to those who are self sustaining power wise.

A piece of advice to Nairalanders. Please let us stop being tribalistic. This is the bone our corrup leaders throw at us so that we don't have time to focus on issues like fighting corruption. Meanwhile, they, inspite of their tribe, sit at Abuja and steal our money. Ibori and Yaradua are not from the same tribe yet one is using all his money to support the other while the other is defending 'one' even with his life at risk.
We the masses must learn to reject this bone and work together to build a better country, one our generation and future generations will be proud of.
Great valid post.

this girl is not my type of girl for marriage. several times, she has asked me to marry her which i told her that i cant marry her. she has even told that she wants to have a baby for me. you see, i cant marry a girl that will use her mouth to ask me to marry her. it is not our culture. i agree to take full responsibilty of the baby if she insists that she cant go for D @ C but i cant marry her.
ThoniaSlim:
