They'll get to experience what they've put other countries through.
Bombing other countries relentlessly while they're safe back home.
The US bombings have killed nearly 5 million people in the middle east. Russia and China for put hand nah! After all, they're allies with Iran. Shebi your job na to hype them |

nairalanda1: So, if you were selling bread that you baked at the cost of N2000 a loaf at N200 , that's wisdom?
That's kind of what you are advocating just now.
68% of metered consumers bypass their meters. It happens, y'know.
It's been tried. People resort to violence as a result.
And the courts aren't helping.
I see.
And in addendum...cost reflective tarrifs. Still the same thing. Give everyone prepaid and let them pay cost reflective bill. Let there be those whose work will be to inspect for anyone bypassing. And the bypassing happens mostly in shitty areas. There are areas you can't do that, shame self no go let you try am There are those in the power sector benefitting from the post paid meter bills, thus, sabotaging the idea of everyone getting prepaid meters |
Politics › Re: Unpaid Electricity Bills Now N6tn – Gencos by MrPOTUS: 12:12pm On Feb 19 |
Krak: A house somewhere in Southwest Nigeria in an area barely having up to 25 hours of combined electricity monthly. IBDC was always bringing a flat rate of at least 15k bill monthly.
When we got a prepaid metre for the same house, we were consuming less than 1k monthly in electricity bills.
The truth is that this figure that the Discos, not Gencos, claim that their customers are owing them are highly and grossly inflated. @ nairalanda1 What will you say about this? |
Politics › Re: Unpaid Electricity Bills Now N6tn – Gencos by MrPOTUS: 12:05pm On Feb 19*. Modified: 2:29pm On Feb 19 |
nairalanda1: Well, expressing one's opinon doesn't mean I think I know more than everyone, sonny.
It seems you don't know that you can be on prepaid and at the same time, still refuse to pay or underpay. Also, most prepaid consumers are subsidsied and yes, government doesn't pay up the subsides.
And then there is the concept of bypassing the meter, which happeneth.
The GSM where everyone pays a cost reflective tarrifs? Also, GSM is different from power, you can't use a phone to make calls or send text or use the internet until you put some money into it, at a price the company sets.
Power sector...you can bypass the meters and at the same time, also chase away disco workers who come to enforce payment, or even just plain refuse to pay, and even reconnect after bribery, sometimes never even need to pay a bribe, and nothing would happen.
Oh? Baba, your arguments are shitty Give everyone prepaid and the problem is more than half solved. And for those bypassing, it's the job of the distribution companies to met stiffer punishment on them. You're just making excuses and beating around the bush with your statement every time Everyone should pay before consuming and those bypassing should be jailed or totally disconnected from power for a given number of months. People go sit up. |

Politics › Re: Pictures Of Agba-ndele–abua Bridge Constructed By Governor Sim Fubara by MrPOTUS: 12:28pm On Feb 06 |
nairalanda1: They can afford subsides because most of the time, they tax their gdp at rates Nigeria won't.
Also, they pay subsides to the producer. What they don't do is consumption subsides, except for the poorest of the poor.
You should recall that all those developed countries did not become like that overnight, neither did they become like that by having the emiilokan spirit. They made hard choices. Your government and the oppositon is not ready to make those hard choices. Yes, they made hard choices like fighting corruption, disgracing those caught to the point of even killing them in China why you people here worship corrupt fellows In developed countries, they don't steal public funds and rob it to the faces of the masses. Never! The masses will revolt but here, Nigerians are docile and subjugated with poverty. Do you think any country can ever progress without strong institutions like the judiciary and the anti corruption agencies? Nigeria cannot embrace industrialization, your leaders are corrupt and lazy |
Politics › Re: Pictures Of Agba-ndele–abua Bridge Constructed By Governor Sim Fubara by MrPOTUS: 12:04pm On Feb 06 |
nairalanda1: Okay, let's vote for a leader who will raise tax to gdp, remove subsides on power, encourage industrial growth and development, ensure everyone pays power bills at band A level, remove subsides on railways so as to attract investment there, encourage the useof raw materials to industrialize, and stop sharing oil money.
The above people will shoult poverty.
You guys don't have the above because you see government as a means to sharing oil money, not as a means to industrialization. You mock those who go to technical colleges and idolize the ones who have white collar jobs. You bypass your meters and defend the corrupt when it is your side.
And you come here to cry hypocritical tears about how underdeveloped Nigeria is.
Go and vote for your Lee Kwam Yeu's and stop voting for your tinubus. And for your mind you think they don't pay subsidy in developed countries. You keep beating around the bush with your jargons, why don't we take out corruption first before implementing anything of your ideas |

budaatum: I think you are beginning to understand small small.
Even when I sell you gari, I don't weigh the gari with scales and only show you the top of my tin so you can not see that I have stuffed the inside with paper, so why do you think I will not be a crook when I sell you electricity? Is it perhaps because you think I want to go to heaven?
Selling you meter will reduce my profit because you will only then pay for what you use and it will be harder for me to rob you with my estimated bills. That profit is my heaven on this earth. I will negotiate hell with God or satan when I die! Lol Very true. My own now, I bought about 200 units around that Christmas period last year and light was steady. But January light was crappy and very unstable. Na the units I still dey use and it's still over 120 units. But if it was post paid (estimated bill), I for pay for December, still pay for January darkness Mr nairalanda1 just dey cap like say no be Nigeria we dey |
Politics › Re: South Africa Restores Power to Nigeria High Commission after debts payment by MrPOTUS: 9:27pm On Feb 02 |
nairalanda1: 1. They are selling darkness because people are not paying a cost reflective tarrif, therefore they cannot make a profit to fix things
2. Aba where people pay close to cost reflective tarrifs? That's why they have light
Good evening Why can't they distribute or sell prepaid meters to everyone so everybody will pay reflective bills? You think they don't prefer people using estimated bill where they perfectly sell their darkness |

The only thing that I understand is that, if Nigeria government are smart people, they should take advantage of this oil boom and make more FX for the country.since we re an oil producing country, it should be a blessing and not a curse It's a two edged sword. A blessing for FG coz they're going to make more money selling their oil to cover their budget deficit and enough to steal, but a curse for the masses coz price of pms will rise |
