Fortunatefortun: You didnt read the article. If you had read it, you wont embarass yourself the way you did now. So take time and read it. You are free to fact check. Most of what you wrote here is incorrect. Solemani was not a terrorist, he was the one who defeated IS in Syria! I won't waste my time reading that garbage post. Iran is a terrorist state. And you guys will hype them to their demise |

Naso una go hype them enter problem Trump killed that their supreme terrorist General (their number one ranked general) like a rat in 2020. All they could do was rant and blew up their own passenger plane killing hundreds of their citizens The wereys even declared Trump wanted Since then, Trump has been out of office and back to office, still putting fire to their ynash Continue hyping them o! nairalanda1: They can afford subsides because most of the time, they tax their gdp at rates Nigeria won't.
Also, they pay subsides to the producer. What they don't do is consumption subsides, except for the poorest of the poor.
You should recall that all those developed countries did not become like that overnight, neither did they become like that by having the emiilokan spirit. They made hard choices. Your government and the oppositon is not ready to make those hard choices. Yes, they made hard choices like fighting corruption, disgracing those caught to the point of even killing them in China why you people here worship corrupt fellows In developed countries, they don't steal public funds and rob it to the faces of the masses. Never! The masses will revolt but here, Nigerians are docile and subjugated with poverty. Do you think any country can ever progress without strong institutions like the judiciary and the anti corruption agencies? Nigeria cannot embrace industrialization, your leaders are corrupt and lazy |
Politics › Re: Pictures Of Agba-ndele–abua Bridge Constructed By Governor Sim Fubara by MrPOTUS: 12:04pm On Feb 06 |
nairalanda1: Okay, let's vote for a leader who will raise tax to gdp, remove subsides on power, encourage industrial growth and development, ensure everyone pays power bills at band A level, remove subsides on railways so as to attract investment there, encourage the useof raw materials to industrialize, and stop sharing oil money.
The above people will shoult poverty.
You guys don't have the above because you see government as a means to sharing oil money, not as a means to industrialization. You mock those who go to technical colleges and idolize the ones who have white collar jobs. You bypass your meters and defend the corrupt when it is your side.
And you come here to cry hypocritical tears about how underdeveloped Nigeria is.
Go and vote for your Lee Kwam Yeu's and stop voting for your tinubus. And for your mind you think they don't pay subsidy in developed countries. You keep beating around the bush with your jargons, why don't we take out corruption first before implementing anything of your ideas |

But the palaver is , most people on prepaid meters do bypass them. 68% of them according to the responsible regulator It's the job of the distribution companies to check from time to time which they do sometimes. |

budaatum: I think you are beginning to understand small small.
Even when I sell you gari, I don't weigh the gari with scales and only show you the top of my tin so you can not see that I have stuffed the inside with paper, so why do you think I will not be a crook when I sell you electricity? Is it perhaps because you think I want to go to heaven?
Selling you meter will reduce my profit because you will only then pay for what you use and it will be harder for me to rob you with my estimated bills. That profit is my heaven on this earth. I will negotiate hell with God or satan when I die! Lol Very true. My own now, I bought about 200 units around that Christmas period last year and light was steady. But January light was crappy and very unstable. Na the units I still dey use and it's still over 120 units. But if it was post paid (estimated bill), I for pay for December, still pay for January darkness Mr nairalanda1 just dey cap like say no be Nigeria we dey |
Politics › Re: South Africa Restores Power to Nigeria High Commission after debts payment by MrPOTUS: 9:27pm On Feb 02 |
nairalanda1: 1. They are selling darkness because people are not paying a cost reflective tarrif, therefore they cannot make a profit to fix things
2. Aba where people pay close to cost reflective tarrifs? That's why they have light
Good evening Why can't they distribute or sell prepaid meters to everyone so everybody will pay reflective bills? You think they don't prefer people using estimated bill where they perfectly sell their darkness |

bankyblue: Make person explain give me. Should we be worried? Shy dangote they buy in naira and refine for Nigeria?
The only thing that I understand is that, if Nigeria government are smart people, they should take advantage of this oil boom and make more FX for the country.since we re an oil producing country, it should be a blessing and not a curse It's a two edged sword. A blessing for FG coz they're going to make more money selling their oil to cover their budget deficit and enough to steal, but a curse for the masses coz price of pms will rise |

Politics › Re: Nigeria’s Diversification Drive Pays Off As Non-oil Exports Break 50-Year Record by MrPOTUS: 9:56am On Jan 20 |
PHIPEX: Typically, when your currency is useless or almost useless you tend to export more because the product you worked hard to produce is now very cheap to the world so you can sell more of it. But this only favours a country that is heavy in production not a consuming country like Nigeria. The net effect remains negative because we are not producing but importing everything known to human; what you can in export, you lose in import.
Japan and China currencies are low to attract export because they produce and they gain from it, our case is double jeopardy to the masses because we are still a net importer You just said it all, our net export is the koko, not just export We'll get there someday sha. |

Once you are a celebrity you see most of this Famous one is Michael Jackson child molestation case which was settled out of court Let's call it what it is sir, "fraud" No need to whitewash it. If they need help, they should talk and not blackmail him with paternity fraud. What if DNA doesn't exist? The mother should be arrested, maybe na Davido no wan press charges Shit like this will keep happening if it's taken lightly, you heard the guy said he doesn't know her and haven't met her before the DNA test. Politics › Re: Nigerian Based In Germany Compares 42% German Tax With 30% Nigerian Tax by MrPOTUS: 12:00pm On Jan 13 |
nairalanda1: And the reason why we lack integrity is because most of our income does not come from taxes. It comes from oil, thus making it easier to steal.
If most of our income came from tax, ya think anyone would steal? I believe they'll still steal. It's free money to the politicians. The masses are already subjugated, even if their taxes are stolen, they won't do shit. If we can't efficiently manage the little we have, what makes you think we'll utilize it when it huge |
Politics › Re: Nigerian Based In Germany Compares 42% German Tax With 30% Nigerian Tax by MrPOTUS: 11:46am On Jan 13 |
nairalanda1: You are acting as if my comment means I am supporting looting. That is why I cannot engage with you, because you are beating a strawman.
Go and get rid of that idea that I support looting and see me later. Your first comment the guy quoted was delusional. Even if Nigeria operates on $1trillion, the country will never be better. Instead the selected few (politicians) will get wealthier What Nigeria lack isn't the funds, it's integrity, transparency etc. |
Politics › Re: Nigerian Based In Germany Compares 42% German Tax With 30% Nigerian Tax by MrPOTUS: 11:36am On Jan 13 |
seunmsg: Less than 10% of Nigerians pay personal income tax. In fact, only those in well structured paid employment get to pay. Even at that, over 90% of them don’t pay up to 30%.
Again, it’s sad to see people ignorantly thinking their personal income taxes goes to FG. No, your taxes goes to your state government fully. Tinubu gets all the blame for the tax reform while state governors take every personal income tax. Even the VAT, states take 85% while FG takes 15%. Nigeria is probably the only country where the central government doesn’t take a dime from payroll tax. In US, Germany etc, FG takes the lion share from payroll tax. Not in Nigeria. What about company income tax, who dey take am 🙄 You wan compare that one weight to PAYE |

This secret weapons is what is giving Trump all this ginger to want to go to war everywhere, he even said it that only if people know the kind of weapons they have. I always laugh when I see Russia and that north Korean guy advertising their weapons to the world. The US is taking note and they won't show you theirs, but when that time reach, u go surprise. You self see how much they budget for defense per year, the largest in the world. And no be Nigeria wey the generals go just dey loot the money as they wish |
