dammytosh: I did not jump any fact. That he bought for 100 and decide to sell for 1000 is his business.
There are clubs and hotels in lagos that sell a bottle of coke for #1,000. I will be stupid to buy it and assume it is imported.
Dangote decided to sell cement for 1000 after we have bought hundreds of bags for 1700 this same year. That does not mean that if he sell for 500 a bag, he wont still make his money.
Back to the business, if he buys for 100 after several research and discover that it is worth 1000 in the Nigeria market, he can sell for that amount.
As for wrist watch of 5,500.00 lets put the arguement in perspective, was it a swatch wrist watch and i discover that it is a fake swatch ? Definetely "NO". Some random name in the market, i buy for 2000 and i am expecting it to last. ?
As an undergraduate, i av bought several wrist watch on the road side, the sharp guy starts by calling 7k , i bargain and buy for 1500. It fades after months and i move on. Now i dnt expect my Invicta and my casio edifice or swatch to act same way.
Face the problem of staff treatment with your previous employer and leave the business alone.
This attack on his person and his business based on priviledged information is grossly immature.
You were even bragging dt you will teach some one what you have learnt if they send you a mail, that corroborate your employer's point that you are proud and feels like the boss. Well said. |

markpenk: Lol... Nice retort bro... He must really run a sweatshop (and i even doubt he owns a business). I mean come on, who cuts short their vacay just to come deal with an employee.
Doesnt he have other people on ground to attend to such things? Or did he leave his business in incapable hands? Doubt this guy's authenticity. Too many questions jare.
People really should be mindful of the way they address others regardless of their station. This acidtalk guy has done nothing on this thread but rant, insult and show his lack of civility... Anyways its a faceless forum after all. Everyone is free to do as he/she sees fit... Or are we? I agree with you. I know these type of people, cos I once worked with one in the Haulage business. Myself and his cousin worked so hard to see the business grow since he didnt have the experience. Only for him to use one excuse or the other not to pay us at the end of the month. And if you dare complain, they will start showing you they know I.G, they know CDS and co... You people should please change abeg. |

I know people like you. Very greedy and lazy employees who think all the money that comes into the company is all going to the owners pocket without knowing majority are running cost and most times the CEO will make little or nothing.
One silly employee tried such crap when I went for summer, I cut my trip short just to come and use him as a scape goat to others. After spending 3weeks behind bars, his people were even supporting my actions as it was obvious to everyone he was a traitor.
If na me you try this crap with ehn, by now na beans and agege bread your family go dey buy come for you for Elephant House. I get special underground cell for lazy, traitors like you. Nice one, GEJ. |

AndyBoomba: 5. MARVELOUS BENJI
Music label, Kennis Music retains the credit for the success of Benjamin Ukueja – a Delta State-born reggae/dance hall crooner and producer otherwise known as Marvelous Benji. Straight from the ghetto streets of Ajegunle where he is based, Swo (Brand New Dance) is the hit single that spurred on local dance moves like ‘Swo’, ‘Konto’ and ‘Galala’ in the early millennial era. But when Benjamin thought it was time to move on up, he burned bridges with his breakout label company and like the popular saying goes, the rest is history. This is one artiste I really like. I still have most of his songs on my phone. I hope he comes back soon. |

denzelpraiz: For years I had searched for the perfect opportunity to increase my financial cash flow, I did all kinds of jobs from working in a school cafeteria to a pure water factory and many more but they all paid peanuts, I had no source of income and some days ild go on without any food but our usual Garry and salt I was ALWAYS BROKE I know some of you have been there, I was looking for an idea that would not cost me too much because I didn’t even have the too little to invest ,I searched and searched and came across different investment opportunities which I ventured into all to no avail, when I was at the brink of giving up I came across an idea to venture into IMPORTATION ,I had always felt it was for the mega business men and women who had access to huge bank loans to import containers of goods but when I went into deep research I had found the secret to increasing my cash flow ,there are many other methods I found but on this post ild be focusing on IMPORTATION, You are only broke because you don’t have access to information to make you financially stable I am not promising a get rich quick deal, or that you will become the next billgates or mark zuckerberg but im telling you if you practice what I teach you where ever you are in Nigeria or Ghana or anywhere you will maximize opportunities to generate a constant flow of income People will always need things and you can be the person who supplies them constantly, there is no limit to what you can supply form branded company items, to tablets ,ladies accessories watches, bags shoes and all, one of the first things I imported was a particular watch ild show you , I got for just #1500 and people were willing to pay #3500 imagine that huge profit margin I brought just 5 pieces for #7500 and sold them for #3000 each they finished before they even arrived I made #7500 ild show you product,on another watch I made about #15000
These are some pictures of some items I got
Some nice leopard shoe I got for #900 and sold for #2500 watches I got for 1500 and sold for 3000k people loved this ones A complete makeup kit I sold #6500 #in highdemand a sample also of my first shipment is shown
now to how i got started i really needed to start i had no capital but i had a laptop all i did was i got some pictures of the items and began to show potential buyers on all my networks ,watsapp, facebook, twitter and personal contact i was amazed at how much people in the north needed these items and soon they began to order i told them it would take two weeks and they would have to pay over 50 percent and when the items arrive they would balance they all obliged and that's how i got started that month i git over 200000 naira worth of deals and the story gets better so whatever it is just start its not what you have that limits you its what you have but don't know how to use. It's not everyday you see someone who shares such information with people online without asking for a deposit to his account. May God continue to bless you for this information. I also started this same business but it's not been easy. Can you please send me the links you buy from also. I would really appreciate. Thanks in advance,,, mdrdggroup@yahoo.com |

You are in the east so getting a "sales girl" job won't be a problem at all. The salary range is usually 15K to 25K. Might sound small but it's a starting point.
Or apply for NOUN ie open university (part time) I don't think there's any business you can do with 20K capital that would yield you even 50K after two months.
Sorry o but life is not fair. You make sacrifices and fight your way through. This is exactly what I did and it really paid off. |

Family › Re: Teaching Our Children The Sense Of Gratitude. by mrramadan(m): 2:32pm On Sep 25, 2014 |
greatgod2012: Hello lovely Nairalanders. I'm gradually resuming back to NL after my unofficial vacation. I want us to learn from one another as regards what affects every family, which is...............training of our children, whether biological, adopted or live-ins(i mean relative kids who are living with us temporarily, for one reason or the other), therefore, i will be coming up mostly on threads that have to do with child/ren upbringing and today, we want to start with "teaching our children to always be appreciative, no matter how small or little the favour shown by whoever, be it parents, relatives, friends, visitors, employees/employers, or even strangers.
First, what is gratitude? Gratitude is the appreciation for a favour given or shown to someone. It is the act of thankfulness. It is being grateful for favour or kindness.
How can we show gratitude?
Personally, the best way to show appreciation is by saying it out............by saying thank you each and everytime a kind of favour is given or shown to someone, without saying it out, the person doing the favour may think his/her favour/kindness is not appreciated, so, the best way to let the person know that you appreciate is by telling the person that you appreciate his good gesture towards you. Another way is by leading as example, what you don't have, you can't give, if you're the type that's always grateful, they will always copy you. For example, when any of my kids do something nice, i thank them. It means you're indirectly training them to be likewise. Why showing appreciation? A yoruba adage says "eni to ba dupe ore ana, a ri emii gba" i.e if you say thank you for a kindness, it is an avenue for you to get another one". However, personally, the reason for being appreciative is not basically to get another one but to show that YOU ARE WELL AND PROPERLY BROUGTH UP. I use to say this, there is no bad elder, it is a bad child that grows to become bad adult, if one does not know how to say thank you for a good deed, then such should not complain when wickedness is shown to him. If somene can go out of his way to assist in one way or the other and the mouth seems to be too heavy to utter just "thank you, such a person should not use the same heavy mouth to complain when a prospective helper refuses to help. This is in support of yoruba adage that says......."eni ti a ba se oore fun, ti ko ba dupe, ti a ba se ika fun, ko ma binu".
When do you start teaching your kids the sense of gratitude?
As early as possible, teaching our kids to be appreciative should start from when they are toddlers, so that they will get used to it. Infact, all my children's first words are...."tan tu" (thank you). They are so used to it now that it makes people , almost everyone that come across them to fall in love with them instantly. They are taught to say "thank you Lord" first thing in the morning, and that also is already part of them that no one can take away from them. Saying thank you by kids make people to conclude that, such kid is well-mannered, even though as kids, they have their flaws, but the sense of gratitude they possess has so much covered their other areas of weakness to the people outside.
How do you instill sense of gratitude into your kids? Very simple; instist that they say thank you for whatever you do for them at home, even though, it is our duty to take care of our kids, but it's also their right to appreciate it.
Let us learn from one another, if there is any other point to add or modify, please, let's do and learn from one another. May God help us all parents. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. This is one topic that really touches my heart. How I wish this message could be passed to some other parts of the world like India, Pakistan, Morocco, Egypt, mostly the Arab world. These people lack respect. The words “Thank you”, “Please” and “Sorry” don’t exist in their world. For those who have been to that part of the world, you would understand what I mean. |

Politics › Re: Boko Haram Ready To Swap 30 Chibok Girls For Commanders by mrramadan(m): 9:33pm On Sep 11, 2014 |
danielmichael: According to The Nation, they want to exchange the female students kidnapped in April for 18 key sect members currently in detention. Some disagreements appeared last night however as the Nigerian authorities wanted Boko Haram to release all the 219 girls missing for almost 5 months, while the latter agreed to free only 30. It has been gathered from the sources that the group directed a list of its commanders and the names of students to be swapped to the Civil Rights Congress President, Comrade Shehu Sani.
The emergence of swap possibility is believed to have appeared after there were held secret talks between a government delegation and a Boko Haram commander identified as Umar, who is being detained in Kuje Prison in Abuja. The source was quoted saying: “Some top officials met with Umar about two weeks ago in Kuje Prison to discuss issues connected to the fate of the Chibok girls. We heard some inmates sharing this information that the sect might swap the girls with Umar and others. But all the details are still secret because Umar keeps to himself a lot.” Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau Another source claimed the negotiations had been successful adding that the sides had agreed on the deal. “The delegation had a fruitful negotiation with Umar, who is one of the highly-rated commanders of Boko Haram. The group assured Umar of a swap and he has been looking forward to it. The sect has given a list of 18 of its members to be swapped with the abducted Chibok girls.” Some security operatives have allegedly warned the government that the release of 30 girls was a dangerous move when there was “no full assurance that all the girls will be released”. One of the sources said: “So, technically, the release of 30 girls was unacceptable to the government based on the advice of some security agents.” However another source added: “You can see why Nigerians should stop blaming Boko Haram from continuously keeping these girls in captivity. What is of concern now is to get even these 30 girls out to prove to the whole world that they are alive.” Sani when contacted refused to provide any comment on the issue last night. It would be recalled that Sani, who has experience of direct negotiations with Boko Haram, shortly after the abduction predicted that the insurgents might use the girls as means of releasing their comrades-prisoners rather than kill the hostages. Soon the militants’ leader Abubakar Shekau released the video showing the students and provided the option to swap the girls for Boko Haram prisoners. Sani was among those who urged the authorities to accept the deal. The “swap” saga was surrounded by numerous controversies, with some sources saying that the government made a U-turn when the deal was close to being secured and other sources insisted that the deal was stopped by the insurgents. More than 200 female students were abducted on April 14. Despite the interference on international powers, human rights activists, military forces and social campaigners, the majority of the girls are still missing. So what about the other hundreds they have been kidnapping on daily basis? Ages 12-40 |
