Hello,

I have contacted Patrick on your behalf and requested for your full names and the kind of goods to know the status of your goods. If you had provided these details when I asked you, perhaps, it could have made things easier.

Kindly provide the information so I can forward them to him.

Thanks.

This cup has been with St. Patrick for more than a week now, they are unable to trace the owner and the seller too couldn't help.

Please, if it's yours, kindly contact Patrick with proof(s) of ownership.

Aside this item, there are hundreds of other items in their office because some importers refused to read instructions before shipping goods.

Oga Yemi, please help me talk to St Patricks since you seem to be close to them. They need to improve on their services. One week now and I am yet to get my goods, despite the fact that I asked for express services. Lagos guys are not picking up their phones nor replying messages. China, samething. After one week they are now saying, the goods were returned because there was no space on the plane. Yet I was not informed.
For crying out LOUD, we are also running a business and we need to give feedback back to our clients... This is just really annoying.

But my advise is this,
1. Do not cut communication and always wait for the other person to be the one to keep in touch
2. STAY AWAY FROM SOCIAL NETWORKS!!!

Greetings Nairalanders,

We're on our way to start working independently with a second Big factory. We're building more important connections and making huge progress. There are some vital things we need to sort out in the coming months. And also if things go out as planned we're on our way to a big deal with our current factory and also in the tipper business.

There are some things (related to banking and finances) that an independent transporter must have access to. I will give updates in a few months as we confirm our progress.

Again, as of now, we are not taking anyone's truck under us as we would want to make sure that we can deliver results to our clients before we do. As we move forward, we will be able to mitigate risks to a minimum to ensure timely and good payments.

Stay tuned.

My humblest regards,

Your Friend.

Dear Sir, thank you for sharing all these insights about Haulage business. I must confess I have learned a lot from all your posts so far. I was also in the haulage business for about a year before I left the country insearch of more knowledge and business opportunities.
I will also find time to share with you and everyone else my experiences and how I was able to run the haulage business my own way. Hoping it will motivate someone out there.

We the directors and staff of St. Patrick's International Logistics Limited wishes to apologise to all our esteemed customers over the ongoing strike action at Nahco complex due to some misunderstandings between customs officials and licensed agents.

We feel the pains and inconveniences this issue has lead our clients to. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we look forward to a quick solution to this problem .

Please, for furthers inquiries contact our lagos office 08101951252 or the Managing Director, Mr. Patrick +8613710706073.

God Bless You!

Thanks for the information.
I have been using your company for a while now and I must say your service is second to none. Thumbs up. However, your customer service is quite poor. I send countless messages but no reply. It is always difficult to reach you especially to get information about a shipment. If Wang is always busy, why not get one person to be responding to enquiries and issues. This is just very frustrating. I have been trying to get information for the past 3 days about a package that has been sent by my supplier but still no response. But when I asked for your new address so I can have the goods sent there, I got a reply in less than 10mins. Please try to find a solution to this issues as this is not the first time this is happening.
Education / Re: 7 Ways You Waste Mental Energy Without Realizing It by mrramadan(m): 3:07pm On Nov 19, 2014
Scamfender:
Adulthood is exhausting. With the responsibilities of
work, family, friendships and more, we are expending a
lot of energy and are even limiting the amount of rest
we can get to replenish it. At this point in my life, I
figure I should save as much of my energy as I possibly
can for the important things. These are some ways I've
found that I was wasting energy and I didn't even know
it.
1. Allowing background noise:
Background noise raises stress levels , making it harder
for us to focus on concentrate. When we continually
require ourselves to perform tasks
with noise — even if it's just a droning air conditioner —
we are using more energy than we need to. While it
might not be possible to eliminate all background noise,
especially in our loud world, you can almost always do
something to make it quieter. Buy some noise cancelling
headphones and wear them without listening to
anything, use earplugs, or turn off the TV to save your
energy.

2. Giving away your power.
There are so many ways to give away your power. The
basic idea, though, is that you give away your power
when you say or perceive that
someone or something else is in charge of your life (or
an aspect of it), rather than you. This can be as simple
as always waiting for directions before you take action,
or more complex like blaming your genes for a medical
condition that limits you. When you give away your
power, you give away your ability to make choices that
will make your life better. For instance, you may not be
able to do anything about an inherited medical
condition, but you can still choose to live life to the full
with that condition. Doing this will energize you.

3. Keeping lists in your head.
Sometimes, I find myself exhausted because I'm trying
to remember so many things. When I take a moment to
write them down, my mind can relax because I know I
won't forget anything important. The simple act of
writing things down saves me energy now, but it also
saves it later. If I insist on keeping all my lists in my
head, I almost invariably forget something. That causes
all sorts of stress and wastes so much mental
energy later, when I have to scramble to pull something
together or apologize profusely for missing an event.

4. Checking email more than twice a day.
Most people really only need to check email twice a
day. Most of your messages aren't urgent and, if
someone has something that you really need to know
right now, they can always call, text, or come find you
themselves. When you check email all the time, you're
distracted all the time. Sometimes, you're even trying to
check your email while you're doing something else.
However, multitasking doesn't really work. You're
actually switching rapidly between tasks, not doing
several things at once. All of this switching takes
energy, which you wouldn't have to spend if you could
focus on each task alone.

5. Trying to control the uncontrollable.
I like to be in control, even when that isn't possible. In
the past, I've wasted a lot of energy trying to control
people and situations that it simply was not within my
grasp to control. When I can let go of those things, I
find that I have more energy to spend on the things that
it is within my power to change. Letting go of the desire
to control usually comes from places deep inside of us,
and you probably won't be able to let it go overnight.
Start by figuring out what you're afraid of that causes
you to need so much control, and begin to work with
the idea of letting go from there.

6. Working long hours.
Working longer hours doesn't necessarily make you
more productive. In fact, productivity tends to drop
significantly the more hours you make yourself work.
When you're working long hours, you're wasting your
energy. That energy would be better spent finding a way
to rest and to
rejuvenate, so that you can come back to your task
later, at optimum levels of productivity. Even if you
don't get every second of rest that you need, a short
break will help you focus again.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Dubai Police Bust Nigerian Gang Involved In Armed Robbery by mrramadan(m): 8:32am On Nov 19, 2014
justi4jesu:
On Wednesday October 1st 2014.

Dubai Police have arrested a gang comprising five Nigerians (pictured below) who were involved in armed robbery at the Al Mustaqbal money exchange in Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Road in Ajman.

The gang managed to steal Dhs2,75,000 including various foreign currencies.

Deputy Ajman Police chief said that the incident took place last week when the gang members entered the exchange and attacked and assaulted its employees, threatening them with toy guns before emptying the premises of its cash and fleeing.

The gang members entered the country on a visit visa, which expired long time ago.

He added that the police operations room received a call about the robbery at around 10.30 pm last Thursday.

However, the suspects managed to escape before the police arrived on the scene, as the employees failed to activate the alarm in order to alert the police.

Lt Col Abdullah Saif Al Matroushi, director-general of CID at Ajman Police, said that police formed a special team to investigate the case.

“The police team used sniffer dogs to trace the movement of the suspects and found the shirt of one of the suspects and a toy gun used in the crime.

The police also used the footage obtained from surveillance cameras installed at the exchange house and the street, which assisted in revealing their car plate number and its description.

In cooperation with the Sharjah and Dubai Police, the team managed to identify the suspects and their location.

One of the suspects was arrested in a street in Sharjah. He then led the police team to his accomplices in Dubai.

In coordination with the Dubai Police, the team raided the house of the suspect and arrested the other four.

The sixth suspect is still on the loose and the police is on the lookout.

Upon inspection of the suspect’s residence, the police seized Dhs11,000, receipts of purchases of gold, garments and various items, as well as money transfer to their countries and currencies including US dollars, euros, Omani riyals and other currencies.

The suspects confessed to their crimes and were referred to the Public Prosecution. The police officials urged the public to take proper precautions to avert such crimes.

They also said that more awareness campaigns will be organised to educate the employees of the financial and commercial establishments on safest ways to deal with this kind of incidents that occur during their working hours.

They will be educated about the importance of setting alarms to alert the police immediately.

Nairaland / General / The Laws Of Attraction by mrramadan(m): 9:54am On Nov 17, 2014
The law of attraction is the name given to the belief that "like attracts like" and that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts, one can bring about positive or negative results. This belief is based upon the idea that people and their thoughts are both made from "pure energy", and the belief that like energy attracts like energy.

While on a mission of self discovery, I stumbled on this theory via a movie/documentary titled "The Secret Laws of Attraction" some years back and had to revisit it again recently after it kept popping up in books I have been reading and some teachings (like those of Sam Adeyemi and the likes); I have also heard quite a lot of successful people talk about it. I would really appreciate it if I can find like minds who have come across the same, their experiences and their thoughts about it.
Thanks in advance.

I did not jump any fact. That he bought for 100 and decide to sell for 1000 is his business.

There are clubs and hotels in lagos that sell a bottle of coke for #1,000. I will be stupid to buy it and assume it is imported.

Dangote decided to sell cement for 1000 after we have bought hundreds of bags for 1700 this same year. That does not mean that if he sell for 500 a bag, he wont still make his money.

Back to the business, if he buys for 100 after several research and discover that it is worth 1000 in the Nigeria market, he can sell for that amount.

As for wrist watch of 5,500.00 lets put the arguement in perspective, was it a swatch wrist watch and i discover that it is a fake swatch ? Definetely "NO". Some random name in the market, i buy for 2000 and i am expecting it to last. ?

As an undergraduate, i av bought several wrist watch on the road side, the sharp guy starts by calling 7k , i bargain and buy for 1500. It fades after months and i move on. Now i dnt expect my Invicta and my casio edifice or swatch to act same way.

Face the problem of staff treatment with your previous employer and leave the business alone.

This attack on his person and his business based on priviledged information is grossly immature.

You were even bragging dt you will teach some one what you have learnt if they send you a mail, that corroborate your employer's point that you are proud and feels like the boss.
