Business To BusinessBusiness Opportunity:10 Unique Corporate Gift Items That Can Earn You Huge Money by mrsage(op): 11:50pm On Sep 08, 2010
As the year rolls to an end, business owners like to give gifts to corporate and prospective clients.
Corporate gifts are ordered in bulk by companies who want to reward their employees or give gifts to their staff at Christmas or during birthdays. They can also be used as major promotional tools or as a thank-you symbol to every staff member after a successful year end.

How to Start
Begin with the decision to specialize or not. In the beginning, look at small to medium sized companies as potential clients. They may be a good starting point.
You need to write a letter of introduction or a proposal, then you can prepare for a presentation; this is based on the requirement of the organization you are dealing with.
Then if you are fortunate you could win the contract and get the approval of the type and quantity of gift items required. You must make sure each item is branded with the company’s logo, depending with the requisition either screen-printing, engraving, etching or transfer printing. You can actually start this business with N20,000.
You need to do a serious examination of your target companies. Find out if they deal with international clients, how much revenue they generate and discover what type of product or service they offer. Tailor your gifts around the companies.
You need to network with manufacturers. Find a manufacturer that will charge you a price that allows you to make a profit.
Contact other corporate gift companies and get references for various manufacturers. You can check out the national dailies for the contact details of gift manufacturers. You can also get some at Idumota in Lagos Island. You can also visit: www.21ststrategiesdesigns.com; they have a wide range of corporate gifts that you can select from.

Here are a collection of the 10 unique gift items:
1. Mug
2. 2011 Calendar
3. Promotional key rings
4. T-Shirts
5. Promotional paper block pads
6. Corporate and promotional ball pens
7. Promotional umbrellas
8. 2011 diaries
9. Corporate hampers
10. Award plaques

For further details, kindly post your comments, opinion and email address.
I will provide more details if you wish.
Business To BusinessHow To Start And Succeed In Food Business by mrsage(op): 11:00pm On Sep 01, 2010
Food business is very lucrative because man shall continually need food for survival and productivity. Man will need and continue exchanging money for food products.
This undying need of man for food can keep you in business and smiling to the bank if you know how to harness the opportunities in this sector. Food business is the secret of wealth of big business empires like; UAC Foods, Dangote Group, Honeywell Group, Tantalizers, Flour Mills etc. You can also join the list.

TIPS FOR STARTING FOOD BUSINESS
Study the food needs of your environment or community, and choose the one you have passion for. Your niche might be in beverages, confectionaries, water processing, poultry, meat/dairy processing, flour production, bakery, food supplies etc

Learn to start small

Determine your target customers.

Study the consumers to know what they want; how they want it, and at what price they can afford it, not undermining your profit. Learn to give consumers exactly what they want. This can be obtained through Market Research.

Choose raw materials that you can maximize or diversify to maximize profit.

Watch out for competitors and develop strategies to beat them down. Develop quality brand.

Take time to study the required raw materials and equipments if you wish to venture into food processing. The good news is that some food processing technology/equipment is available here. Some are imported, while others are locally fabricated.
Carry out microbiological and chemical analysis of raw materials and finished products to ensure their conformity to standards. This is to ensure quality and safeguard the health of the consumers.
Get good brand package and labels.

Get your product registered with regulatory agencies such as NAFDAC, SON, etc for approval.
Ensure your working environment is hygienic to avoid pollution and contamination.

For further details on any food related business , please contact the writer.

GamingRe: Cost Of Setting Up A Gamehouse In Nigeria by mrsage(m): 1:04am On Aug 15, 2010
Setting up a video game lounge is a good idea but you have to get it right.
The key is the Location. And you have to keep your operating cost very low.
A good location will guarantee success. Consider a location where you have middle or upper class people. Don't forget the age factor, the ideal location must have a large number of young people.
You can also consider a location very close to a University.
To reduce operating costs, think of alternative power supply. You could install an inverter to reduce the cost of using a generator.

I can help you draft a business plan or carry out a feasibility study.

BusinessRe: Video Game Business In Lagos by mrsage(m): 12:04am On Jul 28, 2010
Brilliant idea.
First & foremost I believe u can come back to Lagos and set up a game lounge here in Nigeria.
I have a PS2 @ home and I know we do not have trained experts to repair video games in Lagos. This is a good opportunity for you.
You can make money from repairs & you can also train others on how to repair games (a training institute)

You can also sell video games in Nigeria especially if the price is right.

You can also establish a nice game lounge here in Lagos. This will serve as a fun spot for youths in lagos. Remember all we have are cinemas and eateries. A cool game lounge will be a good idea. In lagos today, i know of only one game lounge (in Ikeja). You can consider- Akoka/Yaba axis because of the proximity to Unilag, Yabatech and other secondary schools. we have lots of young people in these areas. Remember adults play games too. U can also consider: Gbagada, Surulere, Egbeda, Festac etc.

I can help you get relevant information. Just send a mail: itunuomotayo@yahoo.com
or visit: www.dwightservices.com
BusinessRe: What Biz Can One Do With #400,000 by mrsage(m): 11:15pm On Jul 26, 2010
U can set up a Video Game Lounge in a good location. This will be a fun spot for youths and adults within the neighborhood.
Get a good location, buy video games and Tv sets, a generator and few accessories. Make sure the place is neat and comfortable. You can make between 5-10k daily and you will recover your capital

You could also set up an agric business or food delivery business. You culd import products from abroad and sell in Nigeria at wholesale price.
I also have other ideas.
