I have said it over and over again that i am not a fan. Do i think it is a criminal offence? No. That is where you and i differ. You think that homosexuals are criminals (atleast that is what the law stipulates). I dont see why they are criminals except for the fact that by making it the law, a homosexual automatically is breaking by having a preferred sexual orientation.

The truth is even without making it a criminal offence, Nigerians will never embrace homosexuality by virtue of our culture. In my mind that is more than enough because even without the law, people will never openly admit to being gay in Nigeria and people will be discrete. We dont need the law to tell us that homosexuality is not acceptable, the culture already does that for us.

On the same issue of homosexuality, when the U.S. Govt declined to defend DOMA, Americans including Congressional Republicans recognized the U.S. Govt position, however, it doesn't mean they accepted it.
