@olokings, whilst I agree with most of your points, I think the bullying issue is for real..if I am lazy, who gives anyone the right to abuse me directly or indirectly? What is even intriguing is that the real people that dug out most of these opportunities people like me have used never bullied.

And the problem is not ignoring such post but the responses that come with it.

And yes, there is a clique - this is totally natural having spent a lot of time together. I have nothing against aligning to e-friends.

And before anyone tries to harass me, I read all part 1 of this thread and been following all parts since then.

I've just resolved to ignoring so many issues on this forum and just put it to individual differences. Some can overlook more than others.

And some behaviors are just inappropriate - and no one should blame any hormone for anything - we always choose.
very apt!

I've been a silent follower for a while, and read all the parts. But I recognise the fact that I discovered this thread early and I had the TIME to go through. Some people might not be lazy, but might not just have a month or 2 to go through the threads properly before their interview or POE dates. I am not against telling others to research or go through prior threads, but lets face facts, some of these responses are downright RUDE or SARCASTIC, and could be termed as bullying.

We don't knw what some preggy mamas are going through, so if you cant help, why not simply ignore the post? or nicely tell the person to go read other threads. I think the issue is the way these messages are passed across sometimes, and the way other people will now come out to make fun of the person.

My 2 cents

Thanks ma'am
Please I need u to confirm if what I read is correct as I wouldn't want to make any mistakes.

(1) The visa B1 andB2 is same as tourist medical..which means I don't need to fill another DS-160 form (is that correct) not minding that I only filled vacation in my form and my initial travel date isn't my due date

2) that I should proceed with the proofs that I'm capable to fund my giving birth in US

3) I hope it will not affect my chances of getting visa cuz I wouldn't mind to get the visa as a tourist and wait in Nigeria till I give birth before I visit the US. In as much I want the baby born in US I don want to jeopardise my chances..

4) during the interview if the VO doesn't ask about my pregnancy should I just keep quiet too.

Your topmost advise will be utilised
Thanks
here's my advice:
1) yes, you can proceed with th DS-160 form you already filled

2) have all your proofs that show you are capable of funding the trip including doctors correspondence etc

4) be totally upfront about the pregnancy. you do not have to wait for the VO to ask before stating it. and most importantly, do not lie.

hi guys

been a silent follower and reader of this thread for about 3 months; and I must say it really helped me a lot, so decided to come give back in my own little way.

went for my interview today in Lagos (17 weeks pregnant) and here is what transpired:

VO: good morning, passports pls?
Hubby and I hand our passports and confirmation pages
VO scans through the passports, paying particular attention to the visas on my passport (UK and France)
Hubby had no visas on his passport, as he just renewed.
VO: why are y'all goin to the US
Me: Childbirth and Vacation
VO: Where in the US
Me: Houston, Texas
VO: Do you have any correspondence with any hospital
Me: passes him correspondence with Dr. F.
VO: why this doctor?
Me: got recommendations from 2 friends who have used him
VO: where do you work and what do you do there?
Myself and Hubby took turns and responded
VO: Do you have any friends in Houston
Me: Yes, a friend who works at ....
VO: Will u be staying with her?
Me: No, will be staying at Soulcare...passes correspondence with Soulcare
VO: Do you have an idea of the medical costs?
Me: Yes, I actually did a budget (passes budget sheet)
VO: Oh ok, documents some things...and then ur visas have been approved.

I was so relieved. Thanks so much to the contributors of this thread, as I would never have know about doctors correspondence, budget sheet etc. I wouldn't have been as prepaed as I was.

For new followers, just try and go through part 2; all the info you need is there. Also, be confident and pray for favour.
There was a couple who kept stammering and mixing up their answers; even I wouldn't have given them

God help us all
