morning mamas, and thanks for the warm welcome. I have over-fed my eyes with all the beautiful #threadcuties. May God continue to bless parents and babies. Pls does anyone know where I can do a 3D/4D scan on the island? |
hello all...new March mama in the building!!! |
firsttymum:Congrats firsttymum...May God bless the little one |
Enyinne:hi..what doctor did you use please |
FinanceFitness:very apt! I've been a silent follower for a while, and read all the parts. But I recognise the fact that I discovered this thread early and I had the TIME to go through. Some people might not be lazy, but might not just have a month or 2 to go through the threads properly before their interview or POE dates. I am not against telling others to research or go through prior threads, but lets face facts, some of these responses are downright RUDE or SARCASTIC, and could be termed as bullying. We don't knw what some preggy mamas are going through, so if you cant help, why not simply ignore the post? or nicely tell the person to go read other threads. I think the issue is the way these messages are passed across sometimes, and the way other people will now come out to make fun of the person. My 2 cents |
emeldamicheals:march mum here planning to travel in feb..but going to houston you can check pgs 65-67; someone posted about her VBAC experience recently |
hellomosquito:no i can't. but you can read through previous posts, or do a search restricting to atlanta..someone must have mentioned something in the past. all the best! |
hellomosquito:here's my advice: 1) yes, you can proceed with th DS-160 form you already filled 2) have all your proofs that show you are capable of funding the trip including doctors correspondence etc 4) be totally upfront about the pregnancy. you do not have to wait for the VO to ask before stating it. and most importantly, do not lie. |
zoemummy:i thought the same thing! OMG! but then I thought I was being paranoid The 'biz' part of the name just didn't sit well with me |
hi guys been a silent follower and reader of this thread for about 3 months; and I must say it really helped me a lot, so decided to come give back in my own little way. went for my interview today in Lagos (17 weeks pregnant) and here is what transpired: VO: good morning, passports pls? Hubby and I hand our passports and confirmation pages VO scans through the passports, paying particular attention to the visas on my passport (UK and France) Hubby had no visas on his passport, as he just renewed. VO: why are y'all goin to the US Me: Childbirth and Vacation VO: Where in the US Me: Houston, Texas VO: Do you have any correspondence with any hospital Me: passes him correspondence with Dr. F. VO: why this doctor? Me: got recommendations from 2 friends who have used him VO: where do you work and what do you do there? Myself and Hubby took turns and responded VO: Do you have any friends in Houston Me: Yes, a friend who works at .... VO: Will u be staying with her? Me: No, will be staying at Soulcare...passes correspondence with Soulcare VO: Do you have an idea of the medical costs? Me: Yes, I actually did a budget (passes budget sheet) VO: Oh ok, documents some things...and then ur visas have been approved. I was so relieved. Thanks so much to the contributors of this thread, as I would never have know about doctors correspondence, budget sheet etc. I wouldn't have been as prepaed as I was. For new followers, just try and go through part 2; all the info you need is there. Also, be confident and pray for favour. There was a couple who kept stammering and mixing up their answers; even I wouldn't have given them God help us all |
