Car Talk / Re: A Friend Borrowed My Car And Brought It Back Like This by MrSly(m): 8:30pm On Jan 23
Spark2:
Good day NL.
A friend of mine borrowed my car few days ago to help ease movement for him. I happily gave him the car because I understood the need he had.

For precautionary reasons, I don't let my fuel get below quarter tank. Each time it gets there, i ensure I top it up.

When I gave this guy my key, I told him clearly to ensure he adds enough fuel as he's leaving my place and not to allow the fuel guage gets below quarter.

My car spent some days with him. he brought back the car and complained that my car has stopped on the way several times and each time it stops, he'd have to buy a little fuel and add before it moves.

Second, he brought back the car with scratches on my front bumper. I learned from someone that he had moved on terrible roads with the car. I was told he went to places that other people had parked because their vehicles can't enter.

I asked how much fuel he bought and he told me he bought a few litres of fuel. This got me furious because this is a journey that if I am to go, I'd have to buy over 40L of fuel.

Third, he brought it back with a faulty fuel gauge, my fuel gauge has never been faulty since I bought my car. It was not possible for me to know the fuel level at the time he returned the car.

I had to go fix my car because I had a need to go somewhere with it. My mechanic opened to tank to check why the car was stopping as well as the fuel gauge. To my surprise, my tank was terribly empty. It was dry.

I had to buy so much fuel as well as fix the fuse of the fuel gauge. As for the scratches, I will have to leave them like that. The funny thing is that my friend cannot even tell me he is sorry.

I have resolved in my mind, I WILL NEVER GIVE ANYBODY MY CAR AGAIN. NO.
ITS ONLY ME THAT CAN TAKE CARE OF MY CAR. I AM THE ONE MAINTAINING IT AND I KNOW EHERE IT PAINS.

what do you think about this?
Do you give out your car to your friends to use especially in this hard economy where fuel, maintenance and cost of parts are on the high side.
I am not that rich yet so no matter how close you are to me I don't lend my car. I can support you TFare but can't lend you my car.

As matter of fact 95% of women want to leave their marriages. undecided
Things are really happening in marriage/relationships that i just don’t want to say it out. What Nigerian men are using our eyes to see. eh! hmmmm! undecided

All what men want is sex!! After sex, they treat you like trash! Some men would even beat and rape their wife and tell her to her face that there’s nothing like rape in marriage. sad. Bunch of sickos!! sad

The honest truth is, there’s nothing a man can bring to my life that I can’t get myself. I enjoy my own company and I don’t feel the need or want to get married. I don’t think it will add anything to my life at all.

I got out of two long term back-to-back abusive relationships in 2020 and have pretty much sworn off men. I don’t need a man to make me happy and I will continue to hate men!

Lol @ the emboldened. Two long term back to back abusive relationship in one year? You must be really too cheap and worthless that your are treated as the rag you seem to be. grin grin grin grin

Tell me more about this surrogacy. How is like and who will be in possession of the child and so on?

Surrogacy involves a person agreeing to carry and give birth to a baby for someone else. After the baby is born, the birth parent( the lady contracted to carry and give birth to the child) gives custody and guardianship to the intended or commissioning parent or parents( the person who desires the child) . The lady can fertilise her egg through insemination or both can decide to go the natural way of s£x. This is the good news that differentiates sorrogacy from adoption, in sorrogacy you have the opportunity of having a baby that is truly from your seed and not another man's seed.

After a successful surrogacy the child belongs to the intended parent. It has process and procedure so seek the professional advice of an expert in the field before venturing into it.

It isn't purchase but more like charity. Orphanage homes are like a (non-profit organisation) in the sense that they have lots of kids to take care of(feeding, healthcare and other stuffs). The money you pay is actually a way of paying them back for taking care of that particular child and also for running the organisation for other kids to get a chance to be taken into the orphanage home. It's like paying a nanny for looking after your child for the day.

Something in that sense
Never mind. The guy I quoted was trying to sound clever because he made a choice and at the same time trying to underrate other peoples choices. That's why I wanted him grilled until he lacks what to say.

So, with millions of children out there waiting to be adopted, adoption should not be the sole option at all for anyone. You folks give me the shivers with your many utterances. lipsrsealed
If you don't purchase them how exactly do you acquire them? We try to twist a simple fact. Adoption of children in ophange is a charity open for all including married people with kids. Adopting a child because you need it isn't charity but meeting ones need. So what exactly is your point?

Children aren't commodity to be bought. Adoption is an option of last resort. Making it your sole option herald a wannabe who hardly understands between action and its essence.

Klass99:
I've never been married but the divorce stories below are the ones that resonate with me till date;

1. Anita divorced because her husband turned her into a punching bag and she was constantly lying to co-workers about her bruises. She didn't leave until her 4 or 5 year old son said to her one day, I will slap you ooo, I will slap you and beat you the way daddy used to beat you, when she tried to correct him for some misbehaviour.

2. Katherine left because her husband was becoming pushy and demanding about anal sex and she doesn't roll that way. I am glad she walked because the health issues associated with anal sex are not nice and he most likely would have dumped her down the road, if or when she developed such issues, because she was trying to please him.

3. Juliet left because her husband was a serial and unrepentant cheat. He started bringing women home whenever she was away on an official trip. Their two girls were seeing this, the older one asked Juliet, why do you allow or put up with what daddy does? It's like you are accepting his behaviour and saying to us that it's okay.

Let me just add this one, the day I have to treat myself for an STD and I know I didn't cheat, that marriage must end and it may not end well for that man either grin
Preek seeker. You dont have to brag with what you don't have. When you get married finally you can brag about leaving. For now you got no choice.

Many of you dwarf minded men dont understand that it is women who need us, not all of us actually need women.

Marriage has always been an option even in the holy books. So dont confuse your destiny

All you said was exiting except the emboldened. Why tea in a child of an unknown origin when your seed is viable? At worst cinerio you opt for sorogacy. More than 90% of married men did it for children.

Romance / Re: My Fiancee Tested AA For Genotype When Young, Now She's Testing AS by MrSly(m): 5:12pm On Jan 20
efembaba:
My fiancée and I have been engaged for about 7 months now. About when we started, she told me her genotype was AA of which she showed me the test result so I never really took it upon myself to confirm mine which I had been believing as AA.

Recently I went to confirm mine and it turned out to be AS. In shock, I asked her to recheck hers since the result she'd been working with was from when she was a baby. She checked at the first hospital and it surprisingly turned out to be AS. Immediately she did another one at another hospital/lab and it still came out as AS.

I know what most people will say is that that's the right test and we are not compatible medically (which though gruesomely painful, I understand).
but my questions are then these:

1. How do genotype test results change over time? I know they don't since it's based on genetics but how on earth was it possible that she tested AA before but not now (my head is so messed up right now).

2. I know the plain, straightforward answer for situations like this, for most people, is that we path ways due to the outcome of our genotype and I get it. But I want to ask, is there any possibility of an alternative at all? Maybe something that's not so conventional that some people in such situations have done to help them still marry and bear children without issues.
I understand if you think this question is stupid but I'm am a possibility thinker and I know that the world/internet is filled with possibilities.

If you know, please kindly help out. Thank you....

I understood your predicament. Of course there is solution. In fact a friend of mine is AS and married to AS. But the solution is for people with means and courage. If you don't worth up to 50mils in naira then find your way out. It is painful but that is the only solution you can afford. But if you are buoyant financially simply type bridge clinic on your chrome and get in contact with their customer care service agent and she will take it up from their. With them you and your wife though both AS can have all your children as AA. Remember, you must be a man of means if not no hope. I am willing to going share their phone number and ema if you email me. I was once in your shoes but could not follow up due to high cost, then 7.2 mil per birth.

Imagine establishing an Igbo Language learning school IN Lagos. A language that kids probably ONLY speak at home where they'd already learn it anyway.

It's an EXTREMELY dumb initiative.

Kids don't need to learn a language that is NOT the official language of any country. A language that's spoken by only about 40/50 million people.

Rather, a talent scouting agency or coding school or even trade school would have been a better project.

Don't be a miscreant and support the bad handiwork of Tinubu and then start counting your chickens before they hatch. It will shock you.
The North will fight back. I know them well enough.
They will dump APC and jump into NNPP enmasse in the North knowing LP and PDP with still erode APC in the south.
No region can win election on its own.
Two region need to support each other to win election. Tinubu APC cannot woo the SE to get their vote, he can only try to woo the north like he did in 2023. But if the north deny him the support, Otilor.
I don't know how you people get convinced with this fallacy. How can you say that one cant win election in Nigeria unless two ethnic groups support you. So in your mind this past election was truly won by Tinubu and it was due to support of North to West? I don't believe it.

The truth and fact is that you from Osun claiming Lagos is finally not from Lagos. Lagos has owners and now the owners have spoken. Ranting on whether they mentioned other Southwest states only goes further to assert that Lagos belongs to some specific yorubas, not all yorubas. So be contented with yous Osun because ethat is all you have got and admit that you are in another man's land whenever you find yourself in Lagos.
