Thanks LadyGuinivere, i really do appreciate your response.

LadyGuinivere:
Th1e solution to a lie is the truth. Abi is it not? Fill the correct details and my take is always to draw the attention of the vo to it by yourself. Don't wait for him to sight it. He may or may not. He may and even decide to ignore. But when u bring it up you are sure it's going into the interview notes. Whether u get it or not this time you have done the right thing

Well , i cant change the past but try not to correct my mistake now having learnt so much from this forum, i have been really encouraged to do it myself . i would have love to hear from people that have been in similar situation and how they went about it when reapplied. .
Thanks for your time.

TWoods:
There is no point "praying" at this point. I feel all this recourse to "prayer" is self-serving and dishonest. You should have "prayed" earlier rather than lying about your birthdate. You cannot attempt to cheat the system then "pray" to avoid the consequences.

Prepare to explain to the VO should this come up. Be aware though that they do not look favorably on the use of agents. The problem with these types of "mistakes" is that it is hard to explain why you would make a mistake on something so important to you as your birthdate.

@kaptainafrika and Twoods, i also have same issue with wrong date of birth(month and the day). The agent that filled the form for me then said it does not matter though i was denied. I plan applying again in october myself with correct information along with my family. Just praying that mistake wont go against me. All your kind advise will really appreciated.

Thanks

KaptainAfrika:
1. That's a mistake that's hard to believe, a mistake in your birthday?Did you use an agent to fill your first application?
2. Applying with family members, will not increase your chances, your mum and sister may get a visa but you may be rejected - you are all going to judged on personal merits, from experience, elderly folks are more likely to get a visa.
3. How did your brother enter the US?

"4. You need to correct that "mistake" in your next application, by coming clean about your records.
5. Read this thread thoroughly and you will see that other people have made the same mistake (and similar ones) in the past and have been advised on how to correct it. "

bigbus:
1. Did you bring up this "mistake" in your March interview? Did the VO take note to correct it?
2. Is the date of birth in your passport reflect this same "mistake"?
3. @Bolded. The US takes the truth very seriously and your visa application is your responsibility.
