Jakumo: Agreed. I would like to quote Kongi: " Only a madman will argue with a man holding a gun."
Sowore, by our very own Kongi's unambiguous definition, has lost his mind to become a certifiable lunatic who will soon experience events brought about by that sad yet reversible condition of self-induced mental illness. Are you now saying resisting oppression and abnormalities is now lunacy |

Jakumo: Sowore has developed a death wish that will likely be granted before long thanks to the unwarranted sissy-boy drama and pointless, counterproductive aggression this disturbed and entitled man-child displays everywhere he goes.
It matters not whether Sowore was an activist during biblical times. He is setting himself up to die a 5-naira dog's death in a Nigerian street. That's what it looks to you but Nigerians know better |

Jakumo: My age is irrelevant to this discussion sir, and I do not give a flying phuck what Sowore's antecedents or psychological impairments might be.
Nigeria is at war with an infiltration of terror gangs and religious loonies whose stock in trade is suicide bombing. Any person in ANY part of Nigeria who DEFIES repeated police instructions to stop walking and freeze in place IMMEDIATELY could be presumed to be a suicide bomber, especially in the north of Nigeria, which happens to be the location where Sowore acted out this his latest episode of reckless provocation while defying instructions given him by armed policemen.
In this instance, the police officers were ALL very polite and respectful even as Sowore bellowed and screamed like a potentially violent lunatic while attempting to physically push aside an officer of the law who would face reprimand if he did NOT move to prevent Sowore from bulldozing his way past the security post while ululating like a wounded buffalo.
Sowore, buddy, if you read these words, I fucking DARE YOU to try this display of madness while disobeying an American police officer.
I fucking DARE you, you dumb, suicidal, ignorant muffug You haven't said it all... Nigeria is also at war with useless and corrupt politicians and people |

Jakumo: Sowore lost his mind a long time ago and became a smartly dressed lunatic with a strong death wish. Sowore just LIVES for these screaming confrontations with the police as though he is deluded enough to imagine that earning a reputation as a hot-tempered hooligan will improve the odds of him ever being taken seriously as a low-budget presidential candidate. You cannot paint a bad picture of sowore because we knew him as an activist right from the Babangida/Abacha era |

deji17: Nigeria media are part of the problem. Sowore is a failed Presidential candidate and not a human right activist. You should call a spade, a spade.
If Sowore has a death wish, he should just go and kpai himself and not hang his death on any law enforcement officer who are just trying to do their job. Even the video posted shows the officers begging Sowore to go back or state his reason for coming to the court. But this guy can be seen harrassing the police and EFCC, abusing them and forcing his way into the court premises. So does it mean anybody can just go inside the court at will? What if he is carrying a gun? Is Sowore saying he is above the law? Can he try this In the USA where he has a resident permit? What kind of nonsense and lawlessness is this? Sowore has been into activism right from the era of Babangida/Abacha so what are you on about |

TimeManager: This man is ignorant, remove the Prof before his name and replace it with Jester. First of, Nigerian Army was invited and the number of delegation depends on the number of participation. Nigeria hosted the Invictus games last year and we didn't dictate to anyone the delegates they sent here, they were all received with their high ranking Army officers. Jester Odinkalu is not in any position to tell us whether to participate in winter games or not. The host country invited us to the game and we accepted the invitation.

Afenifere is no more a Yoruba socio-cultural organization. Peteru Obifraud had infiltrated that useless association and it’s now a wing of a political party.
We saw how that old useless baba Adebanjo was campaigning for Peteru in the last election, and now they appointed his close ally Farotimi as secretary, even clamouring for the release of a terrorist Lamidi Cownu. Yes Baba Adebanjo's faction is the authentic and nationalistic faction speaking for our interest as Yoruba Omoluabis.... while your own supported faction is the bigoted stomach infrastructure and tribalistic faction without values except propaganda |
Education › Re: Scrabble Vs. Chess: Which Is A Better Board Game For Children's Education? by Mrtaye: 10:13pm On Jan 27, 2025 |
Akinpedia: Choosing the "best" board game for children's education is like picking a favourite colour – it's subjective and depends on the individual child and their learning style. However, both Scrabble and Chess offer unique and valuable educational benefits that can significantly contribute to a child's development. Let's delve deeper:
Scrabble: The Wordsmith's Delight
Vocabulary Expansion: Scrabble is an obvious winner here. Children are constantly exposed to new words, their definitions, and how they can be used in different contexts. Spelling and Grammar: Forming words correctly reinforces spelling rules and encourages children to pay attention to grammatical nuances. Cognitive Flexibility: Scrabble demands creative thinking. Players must constantly adapt their strategy based on available letters, the board state, and their opponent's moves. Problem-Solving: Finding high-scoring words requires strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Children learn to analyze situations and make the most of limited resources.
Chess: The Mind Game
Critical Thinking: Chess is renowned for its ability to sharpen critical thinking skills. Players must anticipate opponents' moves, plan multiple steps, and evaluate the consequences of their actions. Strategic Planning: Chess cultivates strategic planning and decision-making abilities. Children learn to weigh risks and rewards, identify patterns, and formulate winning strategies. Focus and Concentration: Playing chess requires sustained focus and concentration. Children learn to block out distractions and maintain mental stamina. Patience and Perseverance: Chess games can be long and challenging. Children learn the importance of patience, perseverance, and accepting setbacks.
The Verdict?
Ultimately, the "best" game depends on the child's individual interests and learning style.
For children who love language and enjoy creative wordplay: Scrabble is an excellent choice. For children who are more drawn to logic, strategy, and abstract thinking: Chess might be a better fit.
The Good News:
The beauty lies in the fact that both games offer valuable educational benefits. Why not introduce your child to both? You might be surprised at which one they gravitate towards and how much they enjoy the mental challenge.
Beyond the Board:
Both Scrabble and Chess can be played at various levels, making them suitable for children of all ages. They also provide opportunities for family bonding and social interaction.
Instead of choosing between these two fantastic games, consider incorporating both into your child's learning journey. They offer a unique blend of education and entertainment, fostering essential skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.
What are your thoughts? Which game do you think is more beneficial, or do you believe both offer equally valuable educational experiences? Share your opinions in the comments below! Scrabble |
Politics › Re: Photo Of Lt. Col. T.E. Alari, Commanding Officer Killed By Boko Haram In Borno by Mrtaye: 2:55pm On Jan 27, 2025 |
Dogalmighty17: When will the Nigerian army stop this needless waste of the lives of its men? What is an FOB without air cover? How can an attack go unchallenged for hours and an airstrike wasn't called in? We waste billions in buying combat platforms and yet we lack the skills and know how to effectively use them.
It is a disgrace that our military would rather prefer to carry millions of dollars to buy fighter jets and helicopters that cannot give immediate eyes on the ground capabilities that a 5000 dollar FPV drone can. That is incompetence as far as I'm concerned.
Shocking thing is that boko haram carries out this attack and returns to their base without our military even knowing where the base is located. A cheap drone that hovers over the theatre can trail these attackers to thier base and the coordinates pin pointed for eventually strikes. We have none of that.
A competent armed force doesn't experience this kind of humiliation. Certainly not with the billions of defense dollars we have expended over the years. That it keeps happening is very shameful. It calls into question the training of our officers and men.
There's a combat footage going around where hundreds of jihadists were attacking a Burkinabe military base. What did the Burkinabe soldiers do? The sent a drone up that was giving them real time video feed of terrorist movements around the base. They then deployed a Bayraktar drone that with just 2 strikes, killed over a hundred jihadists. The rest of the terrorists got the message and fled. Not one soldier in that base lost his life. Does Nigeria not have far more money than Burkina Faso? Yet we don't even have a Bayraktar and this is something Turkey even gives for free.
The day we are ready for this thing to end it will end. But so long as people are using this thing to cash out, it will never end. Boko haram is a business the elite are using to cash out. That's the only way the incompetence of our armed forces can be explained. Bro God bless you, this has always been my concern because I believe that ordinary drone would have ended insurgency..... please I would love to see that footage of the attack on the Burkina Fasso military base |

GistMedia0: Let’s take a trip down memory lane and compare SS3 students from the 1990s to those in the 2020s. Back in the 1990s, SS3 students had an aura of maturity that was hard to miss. They looked and acted like young adults, ready to face the world. Many were already talking about their future careers, getting into serious relationships, or even learning real-life survival skills.
Now, enter the 2020s. SS3 students today seem way more playful and carefree—some might even say childish. Their world revolves around TikTok trends, memes, and the latest fashion. It's like they’re in no rush to grow up, unlike the older generation that felt the weight of responsibility early on.
So, here’s the million-naira question: Is it true that SS3 students in the early 90s were much older and more mature compared to what we see in the 2020s? Op you're a bloody liar and shallow thinker, how can you pick up old students picture of not up to 3 years where the old students decided to wear their school uniforms to their secondary school to commemorate their old students anniversary celebration....why do you have to give a wrong narrative |
