FDB instead of Onyedika may be the wrong call. We cannot surrender the midfield and FDB is more of an attacking midfielder.

Well said , the coach has done very well. But when it comes to substitution he has not gotten that part well. It was obvious Osayi was extremely tired needed help or change but coach brought in Simon . With respect to Simon ,he has no business in the team but coach knows better . Our substitution and goalkeeper unpredictable character are challenges ahead. Nwabali picks up yellow card yesterday, I hope he will not misbehave against Morocco

Ndidi was injured and had to come off. Onyeka had a yellow in the R016 and Chelle didn’t want to risk losing him in the SFs to suspension so he also brought him off.

He brought on Onyedika for Ndidi and Simon for Onyeka. The idea behind bringing in Simon was to introduce someone who can drive with the ball to relieve pressure. Also to bring in someone more experienced in this stage of the game. I think that’s why a more like for like sub like Nnadi wasn’t utilized.

With regards to Osayi, I think the coach didn’t want to disrupt the rhythm of the team too much.

I doubt NFF will want to offer him a bigger contract except the Federal government or some sponsor will be willing to pay for it...Cus Peseiro was demanding something around 100k per month that made NFF not to retain him...

Anyway, it's the monetary advantage that will make Chelle pick a team like Tunisia over Mali, because very few African countries (Morocco, Ivory Coast, Senegal) have a larger pool of talents than Nigeria as it stands

I think the most attractive NT jobs in CAF are:

Tier 1
Morocco - good talent pool, competent FA, resurgent footballing success, will be at the 26 WC
Senegal - very deep talent pool, especially some of their highly regarded youth. Will be at the 26 WC
CIV - deep talent pool as well, will be at the 26 WC

Tier 1.5
Nigeria - deep talent pool, one of the biggest names in CAF. However, no 26 WC and the NFF is a joke
Cameroon - decent talent pool, massive name in CAF. No 26 WC, FecaFoot is unpredictable

There was only one team on the pitch against Algeria. This was a 9/10 performance across the board. The only drawback was that we were not clinical enough.

Game should have been 2 or 3-nil by HT. In KO football, you want to score as many goals as early as possible to kill the other team's morale.

The decision to sub Onyeka was correct, but I’m not a fan of bringing in a winger for a MF. Nnadi or Bashiru would have been better IMO
