Congratulations......
For all the sleepless nights and deliberations, not forgetting your new found friend at Passport office. I think it is fair a 220% tithe payment is levied (payable only in £ or bitcoins).........
Sleepless nights are over. Yeepa Lexus why my tithe plenty like thishuh? What did i dohuh?

Major Shout out to Lexus you are an amazing person. More wisdom
My prayer is that any one expecting their good news will get it as soon as possible in Jesus name.
Most importantly for those who are about to apply don’t have any loose ends and if you do its very important to back your loose ends with an explanatory letter.Who knows it might just save you alot of money.

Sorry to hear about this........ I had a discussion about this same topic a few weeks ago. Another OP argued that I did not know what I was saying. I clearly started it was best to await for 6 months payslip (from the same employer)..... But the OP used too much grammar to almost scatter me, and I gave up.......

2 choices.........

You could appeal and be lucky the ECO advices you to

withdraw your appeal and visa gets granted (cheapest option). But gamble might not pay off and you spend about 22 months on the appeal process.... OR

Reapply (if the funding is not too financially stressful)......
22 monthshuh Thats alot of time almost 2 yearshuh Wooow!!! What a wicked world we live in!!!

Hello House,
I was refused yesterday and I very sad about it.

The ECO who handled my case wasn’t nice at all.

My husband started a new job in September last year and has been in working before then. So we submitted 6months payslip that is 5months from his recent job and 1 month from his previous job wc ended in August last year. I was refused based on the fact that my husband hasn’t worked with his recent employer for 6months. My point is my husband still works and I believe if they needed his 6th month payslip the ECO should have sent an email. Plus my husband submitted a letter from his employer and also 6 months bank statement. Right now i am torn apart. I dunno if appealing is the way forward or I should just reapply. Please i need an urgent response.

Thanks

Hi everyone,

I've finally made an account after being a silent follower for the past few years; it's only the right thing to do as you all have been my virtual family throughout my 5 year long distance journey.

If it wasn't for this forum, I wouldn't now be able to finally deserve some peace after all I've been through. Being in a long distance is one thing but being young (we in our mid 20's) and being from two different cultures (Hubby: Nigerian and me: Caribbean) added more to rollercoaster.

Nevertheless, my husband was finally granted his visa today. There's no words that can describe how I'm feeling right now.

Here's our timeline (standard):

Online Submission: 9th February
Biometrics: 13th February
Documents sent: 19th February
Decision made: 11th May
Passport ready for collection: 11th May
Passport collected with visa: 11th May
Total: 61 working days

God bless everyone who contributes and good luck to everyone who is waiting for a response.
Congratulations expecting mine soonest

I am about to apply for my second settlement visa. My first one was refused last year when I was pregnant after 6 months due to English requirement. P.s I have a masters degree from a university in the Uk. I wanted to ask that can I apply using priority this time around? Is it adviseable?
Thank you
I don’t get, you were refused the visa even after you provided your masters certificate? Pls enlighten me.

Hello House,

My question is concerning my spouse visa application. My husband submitted the documents to shelfield on the 24th of February 2018 with the correct address and a return envelope and up till now I haven’t gotten an email from them confirming that my documents have been received. The only email I remember getting is when I submitted my passport in Ikeja. Please should I be worriedhuh Is this normal??

Thanks
