Senate disapproves N5,000 monthly allowance for unemployed youths (NAN) The Senate on Wednesday rejected motion for the payment of N5,000 monthly allowance to unemployed youths in the country. The motion was sponsored by Sen. Philip Aduda (PDP FCT) but was greeted with shouts of ‘’no, no’’ when he tried to expatiate on it. Even, attempts by the Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio, to second the motion were disrupted by the rowdiness created by the ‘’no’’ shouting of some senatorsu opposed to it. Intervening, President of the uSenate, Bukola Saraki, posed the question but the senators responded along party lines. While Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members yelled ‘’aye’’ in favour of the motion, All Progressives Congress (APC) senators, who were in majority, rejected it.u However, a motion calling for the probe of the utilisation of Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P) funds by the immediate past administration was adopted by the senators. Mover of the motion, Sen. Babajide Omoworare, prayed that every naira spent by the past government on SURE-P andu other poverty alleviation programmes should be accounted for. When the President of the Senate put the question, it was supported with a loud “aye’’ from the APC wing of the chamber, with no dissenting voice from the PDP side. In his remarks, Saraki urged the senators to take the issue of unemployment very seriously and not play politics with it. ``We should stay above party line on this issue that is so important. We have seen growth in the last years but this has not translated to employment. ``Government alone cannot do it; the private sector has a role to play and the enabling environment must be created,” he said. (NAN) APC don't know the meaning of SET-UP The N5000 was APC campaign promises and now they have risen against another of their promises. They are rejecting the one that the CHANGE AGENTS will benefit...oya na trouble be that for them Source |

Well this is not something we are used to. In an interview with DGossip247, former BBA contestant and actress Beverly Osu surprisingly revealed that her crush is not a man but a woman. Beverly Osu who recently released a bunch of nude pictures said her celebrity crush is none other than female rapper Eva Alordiah . " This sounds awkward, but I have to say it. I’m crushing on Eva Alordiah, the rapper. I have had that crush on her like forever. She is my friend and I always tell her" she said. The former BBA contestant said she does not have a male celeb crush in the industry. "I don’t crush on any guy, be it in music or movies " she said. Even though she has a crush, Beverly Osu has come out to say she is in a relationship. During the interview she dismissed the rumour that she is in a relationship with RuggedMan. "I am not dating Ruggedman. We are very cool buddies. We are just friends and nothing more." pulse.ng/celebrities/beverly-osu-actress-says-her-crush-is-eva-alordiah-id4209152.html?utm_campaign=art-beverly-osu-actress-says-her-crush-is-eva-alordiah-2015-09-28&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook |

The Nigerian Army on Friday evening released a statement in which it accused prominent individuals in Borno state of fueling the boko haram insurgency. A statement signed by Army spokesperson, Sani Usman, the military said such people are working to ensure the military's operation to end the insurgency fails because of certain benefits they are getting from the war. The Nigerian Army wishes to inform the public and send a very strong and serious final warning to some prominent individuals and political groups who hailed from Borno State in particular and North East generally, that there is information of plans by some highly placed individuals and political groups to undermine and scuttle the fight against terrorism and insurgency in this country. The unscrupulous individuals and their cohorts were determined to reverse the gains made and scuttle our efforts of achieving the Presidential directive to defeat Boko Haram terrorists within 3 months. They are enlisting the services of some Non-Governmental Organizations in this grand design. It has come to our knowledge that they were employing every means to see that the operation does not succeed in order for them to continue to enjoy certain benefits. It has been revealed that they are employing the services of marabouts and other unethical means in order to frustrate our efforts and the operations in addition to campaign of calumny. We are aware of their clandestine meetings and other diabolical efforts to achieve their nefarious aims. This would not be tolerated. Therefore, such individuals and groups should be warned in unmistakable terms that anyone found would be dealt with accordingly. People should place the interest of the nation above any personal gain or ambition. The continued lost of lives and property in this country through terrorists activities does not one any good www.nigerianbulletin.com/threads/prominent-individuals-and-political-groups-in-borno-are-helping-boko-haram-nigerian-army.123080/ |

A COMPARISON OF CHRISTIAN IMPACT IN SOUTH KOREA WITH NIGERIA Round about 1960, Nigeria and South Korea were comparable in terms of quality of life. Both countries were underdeveloped with low income levels. Around that time, a major gospel push started in South Korea under Pastor Paul Yongi Cho. Before then, the Christians in South Korea were less than 5% of the population. By 1980, Paul Yongi Cho’s church was widely acclaimed as having the highest attendance in the world. Currently, the percentage of Christians in South Korea has grown to about 30%. Just as Christianity grew in South Korea, it also grew in Nigeria. Some large full gospel churches in Nigeria will trace their origins to the 1940-1960 periods. By the 1990s, we overtook South Korea as host of the biggest congregations in the world. Perhaps the two or three truly global Nigerian organizations are churches. In terms of global reach, the banks are lagging the biggest churches by far. As the church grew in South Korea, the country has maintained a strong work ethic and people strive to maintain a good name. South Korea has prospered. A country which ranked amongst the very poor in 1960 is now the 12th largest economy in the world, life expectancy is 81 years, the average family income is over N1 million per month, and poverty is rare. South Korea has produced globally recognized brands like Daewoo, Samsung, Kia and Hyundai. The country’s annual export of machinery and manufactured goods is over US$320bn. This is consistent with the teachings of Jesus that the church is salt, and a growing church should positively impact the nation. In sad contrast, as the gospel has exploded in Nigeria, our positive impact on the social, economic and political climate has been, at best, minimal. Our international reputation is one of corruption and poor leadership. And sadly, the phrase bribery and corruption is hardly ever mentioned in most sermons. Poverty is intense with 54% of Nigerians living on less than N6,000 per month, worse than almost 70% of Sub-Saharan African countries including Togo (28%), Ethiopia (31%) and Uganda (38%)! Life expectancy at 52 years places us 33rd in Sub-Saharan Africa! Average income per head is N32,000 per month. With this scorecard, wouldn’t Jesus describe us as GOOD FOR NOTHING? Matt 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, … KJV THE LIE: There is nothing wrong with the Nigerian revival where millions have accepted Christ yet the country remains morally bankrupt and most Nigerians remain poor. THE TRUTH: There is everything wrong with this current Nigerian Christian culture where we have minimal positive impact on the social, economic and political climate of the country. If the church starts to pursue godliness and shines as light, Nigeria will be healed. SCRIPTURE: Prov 14:34 Godliness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people. Living Bible 2 Kings 2:19-22 Then the men of the city said to Elisha, "Behold now, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees; but the water is bad, and the land is unfruitful." 20 And he said, "Bring me a new jar, and put salt in it." So they brought it to him. 21 And he went out to the spring of water, and threw salt in it and said, "Thus says the LORD, 'I have purified these waters; there shall not be from there death or unfruitfullness any longer.'" 22 So the waters have been purified to this day, according to the word of Elisha which he spoke. (New American Standard Bible) We will succeed in Jesus’ name. https://m.facebook.com/LiesMustStop?refid=28&_ft_=qid.6198741023108910089%3Amf_story_key.-2790219501467491720%3AeligibleForSeeFirstBumping.&__tn__=C |
