Best way would be to take a ring of hers to your local jeweller or talk to her sister if she has one or friend. Someone usually has to help the man out.
The friend can pretend they are trying on rings etc or playing around with jewellery and she'll get a good idea of what fits.
Then buy from a reputable jeweller who would resize for you if you guessed wrong. You'll have to pay for the service though.

Very keen to try out alternative materials to build in Lagos - LBS Ajah area.
I'm very surprised to hear that mud isn't a viable option due to lack of skilled workers.
I tried to explore fencing options and the looks I got when I suggested bamboo made me realise we are very stuck in our ways.

So open to discussing project and options.
