The entreprenuer spirit, the never say die spirit. My father thought me, showed me and sent me to school to study it.

It´s never easy but I think you can succeed with great courage, hard work and know-how. The greatest soceities, men & women grew as entreperneurs. Here in Bavaria, the mentality is very very entreprenueral and inovative so you really get motivated & highly inspired. BMW, SIEMENS, AUDI and so much more started here. I left a paid employment in the UK to start my own business in Munich-Germany and I´m glad and proud today that I did so

Well I agree with you with the "no calling each other names thing" but you should first practice what you preach or believe, if you call the Müncheners Nazis, you should expect someone else to disrespect you also. You´re a broth and I´m a Nigerian too. If you look at the FC Bayern team properly, you´ll see that there are immigrants/players of immigrant descent among them. I´m a Münchener and if you agree with me that I´m a Nigerian but a die-hard FC Baern fan, you´ll realize that you´ve just thrown a stone into the market that hit one of your people. We can call the British, French, Dutch & Americans names as well for colonization and slavery-but where does it take us? this is just football and it´s got nothing to do with Hitler. Have you ever had an experience with a German linked to Hitler? Most likely not, So your joke is too much off the line. An average German is a friendly and neutral person and they don´t see us as poor low brain-slave metality victims as the Americans or British do. Even though they´re not perfect, Germans know black people/Africans in a different way so just let´s leave the Hitler thing out of it-especially in football. I think there´s no need to fight, we should just enjoy the game " egall who wins d game"

People can say what they like. I´ve achieved up to an extent. I have my family here, own my home,business here and in Nigeria, and I still pray that God bless me more. But I´m not in the mood to return to naija. Armed robbers have been to my house two times in the last 4 years.

I've read the recent posts on this thread and I'm just smiling. While I agree with Cap 28 and Buzugee that the System in Europe is designed against the Black Man, I still hold on to the view that any one can succeed in Europe regardless of the hostilities directed against him or her because of skin colour. The problem with Blacks in Europe and the UK is that they are not organized. I've not come across really ambitious black youths in Britain. Then there is the huge problem of Intra-Racism among Blacks. British Born Blacks usually think they're better than Blacks who were born in Africa and later migrated to Europe. I met a guy from Ghana recently who told me how he was humiliated by Black British ladies he dated. He told me he was shocked that women who had the same skin colour as him,  thought he was lower than them in the scheme of things. When my Ghanaian friend could not take it any longer, he started dating white women. He is now in a serious relationship with a white Australian lady. Obviously, Black British Blacks ( especially women ) have been brainwashed by Media to see themselves as nothing compared to white ladies.

The Blacks in Europe have to wake up and become organized like the Blacks in America. Developments starts when the Blacks in Britain start creating Media outlets of their own. No one can write your story better than yourself. In Britain, it is very hard to come Magazines and Newspapers that celebrate Black People. Black boys and Girls on the streets of London and other parts of Britain do not have Black Role Models to look up to. This is why many young male black teenagers are joining gangs so that they can have some relevance. Why is it hard for a black youngster to walk into a Tesco Store, walk to the Magazine Rack, and see Magazines with Black Stars on their cover? Most Magazines in Britain promote Blonde White Women and White Actors 98% of the time. In America, the Blacks have their own Magazines, Newspapers, Radio and TV Stations. African-Americans have their own voice. So the White Establishment cannot shout them down or misrepresent them all the time. I hope you guys get what I'm saying.

I'm a Media Professional by training though I have learnt a lot of things myself. Many Black people in Europe do not have deep entrepreneurial intentions. Black teenagers in London are not taught to be ambitious by the system. And I will put most of the blame on Black Community leaders themselves. Lets take a look at the Bangladeshi/Indian/Chinese/ Asian communities in Britain. This demographic is doing better than the Black Communities in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland all combined together. The Indians and Bangladeshis have taken over Britain's Post Offices in the last 10 ten years.  You're most likely to be attended to by an Asian when you enter any Post Office in London or when you want to do some MoneyGram transfer home. Same thing obtains for Western Union Money Transfers in any Asian Shop. Take a look at the Restaurant Scene. How many solid Restaurants owned by Blacks do you come across in Britain? The Bangladeshis have hundreds of Well designed Restaurants in East London alone not to talk of the whole of Britain. So why is the Black Man lagging behind in Britain and Europe? I make bold to say the Black Man is the enemy of himself     .  No matter how racist the system in Europe is, there are a lot of tools available for Blacks to succeed with.

Why are Asians in Britain and Koreans in USA/Canada not eager to run back to Asia? They won't go back because they have established viable businesses in Britain and America and they're making a lot of money. The Asians in London have also started having their own Magazines and Newspapers circulating in their communities. I have seen these Magazines in some Asian Shops and Off Licence outfits in London. The Asians are ahead of Africans when it comes to development and Aspirations in Britain. Yet, my research has shown that Blacks in Europe and Britain have a higher chance of making it than Asians because they have a huge reservoir of Natural abilities and talents. The 2012 Olympics in London will have many Blacks representing Britain. There will be a sprinkling of Asians in the Team GB but Blacks or Mixed Race Athletes will be more in number. Marilyn Okoro, Christine Ohuruogu and Phillip Idowu are of Nigerian origin but they will represent Britain next year. They were all born in England. So what am I saying?  Why are these black celebrities not on the cover of Magazines in the UK and Europe most times? Black Entrepreneurs and publishers have to start Media outlets that will inspire Black Kids to read about Black Role Models they want to emulate. There are successful blacks in Britain that are not covered by the white oriented Media.

Africans can succeed in Europe and North America. I feel somehow when Black African men have to marry white women in Europe to get their papers. I want to see our African Brothers conquer Black British women or black women born in Europe on the bed to get their residence permits in greater numbers. I'm always happy to see Naija boys dating Black British or African-American women. They're our women. They are African in origin    .  It is the mentality of Africans in Europe that is topping them from reaching their potentials. The way I see it, Entrepreneurship is the key for Africans in the UK and Europe.  Moving back to Africa is not the solution. Make the money in Europe or America with your intellect.  Chase that Black British Girl or African American lady, get her pregnant and settle down with her. She is your blood and Kin. She is yours if you're bold enough   . Then share your dreams with her and build a business together.  Show the white establishment that you CAN. Cheers.


So now, our "british" friends can see that Germany is not worse afterall, and that racism is everywhere was just what I said. either Germany is in Holocaust or not, or Adolf Hitler is the leader now, I´m happy with my life here, and I´m proud of what I´ve done for myself closing my eyes to the "racism of the Germans" I know that here, I am a role model to black kids and my own children.

History of Germany´s genocide in Namibia? and Colonization and Hitler? is that where you want to be looking into in 2011? things that happened over 130 years ago? I´m not denying anything but tell me, the British, Americans Spaniards, Australians didn´t massacre native americans and black people for over 400 years that´s what I´m saying. I see that you´re in the UK, why don´t you ask the british if they didn´t kill us for centuries and ask them if they really like you. I think you don´t get me, an average German will show you if he doesn´t like you but the British won´t, they´ll kill you so, choose one. Do you think I´m lieing that I know the UK more than many of you? Ok, you´ll be surprised if you see evidences that I could be more british than you. let me give you a tip, I´m a mix of black and white I´m very proud of my father & I´m proud to be a Nigerian so conclude the rest yourself.

No you´re wrong, the US blacks created more problems for us here than helping us. You know why? the US Army were present in Germany already in 1945 so it won´t be new in the 90s. And Germans have loved foreign music including jazz since the 1810s and infact gave more chances & oportunities to British africans, Dutch africans & Afro americans to play in Berlin in 1820s. A black German musician married a white German woman in 1818 in Berlin (before Hitler). Do you know that Afro americans (akata) detest us more than come skinheads? I have 3 uncles that came here through the US Army in the 80s that are still here today (married Germans) the Afro americans hate us & they tell the Germans they are better than us- even on domestic issues with German babes . But because Germans are very neutral & open people, impressions change when they meet you as an individual. If you know Germany well as you claim, you would know what I´m saying is true.

So, loving foreign music either it´s hip hop or the beatles are generally a German thing that´s why they have the best clubs in the world. Even the beatles gained more ground here in Germany than in the UK in the beginning of their career (check the biography of the beatles)They love irish,australian,salsa,african,american and even asian music here but of course it´s a western country so it´s normal that the young people would love hip hop just like in the UK or US, although techno & house are really strong as well. I´ve traveled all over the world and I can tell you that there´s no white country without skinheads. There are skinheads in Poland, Russia and Isreal, these are very Jewish countries where Hitler tormented during the Nazi regime so you can see that racism is EVERYWHERE and it´s even better in Germany. I am sure you know there are skinheads in the UK & and the BNP even being elected to the parliament recently, & of course the US too with the KKK & other "white supremacy gangs" very strong in there. So, don´t let "dem say dem say" and some cases that can happen anywhere give you the wrong info about this neutral, humble, beautiful, safe and high-tech & economically powerful business friendly country.

I believe you, it´s such a pity and of course like every country in the world,and infact Germany has a ugly history of it. there is racism everywhere and racist individuals. But have you considered that it didn´t have anything to do with the German government or an average German on the street? you too know that racism begins and ends in America & former American leaders + present ones have been openly racist not to talk of Directors of some German based company. Do you believe me that I am black, Nigerian, and fight racism in this country? I´m infact actively in a political party. I have done better in this country seeing less of the racism, I discovered how tolerant & good Germans are when I decided to see things in a more neutral way instead of judging from their history or what people say they are. Believe me Outstrip, I´m saying this to you with all my heart as a sister, I swear, I have been happier and more successful in this country than ANYWHERE in the world. Please don´t join the people who condemm this country from outside, you and your husband should get to know this country and the people.

There are racists everywhere but one thing I can asure you is that this is a humble, neutral country and you could face worse racism in any country. Germany has the problem we have as well which is bad media image from their fellow english speaking westerners UK, US Australia etc, they´re envious of this country because of their economic strength & the Germans themselves know that this game has been played well. They know that English speaking africans have this impression about them, judging them from the UK media. Here, camerounians, senegalese, and other francophone countries do better than many Nigerians because they´re more positive about the country and they integrate well-study/settle. But Nigerians rely on what UK & US media report so they don´t even see the oportunities right in front of them when they migrate here. I left this country too! and after 6 years of roaming about, I saw that Germany was not that terrible afterall. Many of our people are too lazy to learn the language, go to school, and settle down like they would do in the UK or US. So, they start complaining that Germany is bad without integration and education. The issue is more with the language than racism. That is the bitter truth sister.
