No,most of you want to live in a country that is like Saudi Arabia.

The reason why you guys always grumble about each and every passing government is that you want the government to sell raw materials and share the money among all of you so that you can live well.

The problem is, the only way it can work is if Nigeria was by some miracle making 1000 billiion dollars yearly, and had a gdp five times that.

That is why you vote for leaders who promise you light, water, road, etc. Without how it would be paid for. And when the scanty money runs out, they have to borrow to keep up appearances.

Oil income has been very low since 2014., for example. Too low to fund subsidies. Yet from 2014 to 2023, we kept subsides, and borrowed until the pressure got to a point where they had to go.

You guys also support government passing laws to keep price of a kwh of electricity below production cost, except for the 20% of consumers that pay for power....and you are now acting surprised that you don't have light.

There is no way Nigeria can pamper us. We are not Saudi. And the saudi you guys admire, if the oil runs out tomorrow, dem go dey pfakupa.


You better accept that a country that works is a country where at least most of the people pay tax at a good rate. That would make the people look at government well well,ando government sit up. That is how most saner climes countries became saner climes...because of the number of tax revolts that happened there that reset the brains of their governments over and over again. Infact, if every Nigerian paid 50% of income as tax from day one of tinubu government, and tinubu continued his yama yama leadership, you think he would still be in power today?

It is because most of you do not pay taxes that politicans do as they want. They owe you nothing, their money comes from the oil, not from your pockets.

Half a kilo of cooking gas is less than 1k and can keep a family of 5 for 2 days or more,if not for trump 1k would have gotten you a loter of petrol with some change......she should come tell us how much 74cents can get you in her country.
