Properties / Re: Should I Complete My Mother House Or Build Mine First? I'm In Dillenma Pls Help by musty489: 9:56pm On May 15, 2022
Barrister026:
Hello all,

This is difficult situation for me, my mom's house has been left uncompleted since 2014 just the foundation and probably 2couch were placed ontop since then it's been there because she had to send my siblings and I to higher institution. Now am of age, doing quite well for myself. I think am finally ready to build a house, was thinking about getting a land 100 by 50 and raise 5 bedroom flats... but on the other hand that my mom's building had been left uncompleted since it's a family land, relatives are starting to say somethings and sometimes I could see the shame on my mom's face when she goes to her family compound. Almost every months they always call her to come clear it that it has become harbor for snakes and pests. So I thought why don't I just complete it for her first.

The issue here Is immediately I told my fiancee she said it's a good idea but kicked against it. That I should build mine first, before completing my mom's. That it can wait.

I also confided in a friend of mine, he said almost same thing, that my thing is different from our own. Saying am not the only one my mom gave birth to, if I complete it now I should be ready to share it with my siblings no matter what when the time comes.

I'm confused and need advice on the step to take. I would really want to complete that house for my mom I Know it would mean a lot to her..I'm really confused.

One way or the other somebody has to develop it, if I the first son don't do it now that am financially stable. Then my younger bro will do it, trust me it won't make sense that way that's just my fear.

Your mum abandoned building a house for herself to take care if you guys. It's an achievement she took care of you and you are now financially OK.
Build her house first, make it portable, after hers you can choose a taste of yours and build what you like. Buildings that house might be the only thing that will please her. Please do what makes her happy.
Then you can focus on your life.

I drive a 2007 AWD matrix Please I'm confused and scared. My car oil light was on yesterday, i saw it in the morning after I left home i just check the engine guage and it was shows that there's still oil in the engine. I drove on. Now i got to ogun state from Lagos after driving on a 120 with ac on, when i got down from the car, the engine sound has changed. It's now giving one continuous "kakakakakakakakakaka" sound while running.

1 Please is that knocking sound??
2. What's the next step for me to do now??
3 i use mobil XHP oil.
4 I recently serviced the car although i didn't supervise the servicing

@GAZZUZZ and other please i need your advice

I don't know the next step to take

Confirm your oil pump is working, let them open the sump to check the metal on the crankshaft, then check your plugs. I might be a warning sound.

The cost of spare parts these days is high and no guarantee of it being original, therefore, I will advise you replace the engine. Once it's not shorting oil at the moment, just cool down and prepare for another engine and always use original engine oil for service as many fake oil are in circulation.
Properties / Re: How Much Can Be Enough For A Mini Flat German Floor Foundation? by musty489: 9:35pm On Dec 03, 2021

Hi Nairalanders, I just acquired a half plot of land in Abeokuta. I'm thinking of starting the construction in stages. So like how much should I budget for the German floor foundation?

I haven't done the plan yet. I want to see if it is something I can afford before anything.

The mini flat should feature;
One living room
One bedroom & toilet
One kitchen
One dining
One store

What I really need is the price range of doing the German floor foundation at the moment.
Your plan will determine the cost. The dimension of the Room, kitchen and others will determine.
