Bro, what is fiber ? Is it protein, fat or carbs? How can you claim you added fiber to your food and in the same statement claiming you cut out all the carbs? There are different types of carbs, and fiber is one of them. Moreover , carnivore diet means consuming only animal products and nothing more. If the meal is working for you, that’s really great…. But please stop misleading people here and taking us all for a fool. Nnamdipapa:

On this plate or bowl alone, you have up to 25-30 g of carbs… yet you claim I don’t know what I’m talking about. It’s okay to say you’re on a low-carb diet, not a zero carb diet. We all learn every day. Nnamdipapa: |
You make me laugh my friend lol... I eat blueberries, strawberries, raspberry, blackberries, and apples with Greek yogurt 0 fat, Mondays through Fridays. I break my fast with that at 1pm, then dinner before 5pm... Berries are rich in fiber like you said, they help regulate your BG... but still, they are carbs cos they contain sugar. That is exactly my point... stop misleading people that you cut off carbs and sugar 100%. See, there are a whole lot of food that don’t spike blood sugar. You can’t claim to cut off carbs and sugar 100%, yet you’re eating berries. You only get fiber from carbs. Nnamdipapa:

Just so you know, I’m saying all these from experience… I mean first hand knowledge… these articles are just for back-up. |
I’ll leave this here..
|
The blueberries you have right here is carbs and sugar, though natural sugar… so you see, you can’t cut off carbs 100%.. Nnamdipapa: |
A lot of people come here to learn. We should be mindful of the info we put out here. It’s really hard and pretty difficult cutting off carbs 100%. Also, too much protein will affect your kidneys … especially when you’re over 40. Yes, I also do intermittent fasting. I only eat between 1pm and 5pm, Mondays through Fridays, and on the weekends, I eat 3 full meals with enough carbs, healthy fats, and protein to match. My weekly meal during intermittent fasts are very low in carbs, and I make sure the low carbs are complex carbs, mixed with enough protein and veggies. Our body and brain works well when it’s source of energy is from carbs. Too much protein is unhealthy for the body. Infact, your body ships out the excess ones and use the one it needs… that’s putting more strain on the kidneys…. And in due time, it leads to kidney failure/CKD. You don’t need more than 35g of protein at a seating… even the 35g is for people that exercise a lot… for people that are less active, you don’t need more than 25g or 27g per meal. Nnamdipapa: |
The EFCC chairman should be arrested ASAP. He should know how others feel too when they get arrested for the fraud carried out by their subordinates.. |
It’s a “beansy” Friday afternoon. Lunch: Beans, plantain, egg, and mackerel fish.
|
This is a very good move. I hope it achieves the aim though… cos for Naija, I fear nothing works… it’s just as if devil sit down gidigba on top our matter… On another note, people will complain about a problem and also complain about the solution… nah wah ooo… |
I used Ball pepper, habanero, tomato, chili pepper, onions, garlic and ginger. I roasted everything up there except for the ginger. I roasted them in the oven on 350f for 35 minutes… and then blend them with my food processor. This makes the pepper mix very thick. I heat some oil, sautee the onions, add my tomato paste and fry for like 10 minutes, that’s when I then add my pepper mix and fry for another 35 minutes… then add my rice and fry for like 5 minutes… before I pour in the meat stock… and that’s it… and add butter and some slices of onions and tomatoes. I used 4 ball peppers for the pot I have up there… Lobatan … doggedfighter: |
It’s just same as the regular Jollof. I only had to roast the peppers and then allow the rice burn well well lol… it gives you that smokey taste like the real party jollof.. doggedfighter:

Dinner: Smoked Jollof rice with chicken, mackerel fish, egg, and plantain. How it started and ended.

Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar was preparing for his death as Israeli forces closed in on him in Gaza, instructing his terror group not to concede to cease-fire negotiations without him — as experts warn that the war is far from over. The Oct. 7 mastermind knew his days were numbered following the deaths of top Hamas and Hezbollah officials in recent months, with Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah’s assassination in September spurring Sinwar to leave a message behind for his fighters. Sinwar told Hamas’ political leaders outside Gaza that Israel would push for a cease-fire and hostage negotiation deal after his death, but he demanded the group avoid any concessions, Arab mediators familiar with the message told the Wall Street Journal. The slain Hamas chief was adamant that the terror group would have the upper hand in any negotiations. Sinwar had repeatedly rejected any deal presented to him in favor of extending the war, which he claimed would end in Hamas’ favor. The terror group appears to be following Sinwar’s advice after its leadership rejected Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s offer on Friday to surrender and free the remaining hostages in Gaza in exchange for their lives. Sinwar’s final piece of advice was for Hamas to appoint a council of leaders to govern Gaza and manage the transition to a new leader following his death, according to the mediators. It remains unclear who will succeed Sinwar, with many fearing it could be his brother, Mohammed Sinwar, who is widely regarded as a mirror of his older brother’s ideals and credited for helping Hamas organize the kidnapping of IDF soldier Gilad Shalit in 2006. Regardless of who Hamas’ new leader will be, the terror group is unlikely to agree to a cease-fire as its fighters aim for a long guerrilla war against Israel, Hussein Ibish, a senior resident scholar at the Arab Gulf States Institute in Washington, DC, told CNN. “[The war] has just started,” Ibish said, warning that Hamas would continue small-scale attacks across Gaza regardless of civilians being caught in the crossfire. This is already being played out in northern Gaza, where Hamas battalions repeatedly resurface despite the IDF’s claims that it had cleared out the region twice, all while humanitarian groups say 400,000 people are trapped in the northern war zone. Despite Israel’s advanced weapons and tactics, Ibish said the Jewish state had little hope of achieving total victory, comparing the war in Gaza to the Vietnam War. The outcome of the Israel-Gaza conflict reached a new stage of uncertainty following Sinwar’s death last Thursday, when the elusive terror chief was killed in a routine airstrike while attempting to flee from Rafah. Officials said Sinwar was operating under aliases in southern Gaza as he hid from the Israel Defense Forces by relaying handwritten notes through a handful of aides, according to the WSJ. Experts had long theorized that Sinwar was sticking with analog methods of communication to avoid Israel’s advanced electronic detection systems. Addendum: so while this post analysis was playing out, the below was happening. https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4943929-trump-harris-religion-campaign/ I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it, most Nigerians are hypocrites. Read the link above. The same Harris they said mocked someone that yelled ‘Jesus is Lord’ is the same person touting her Christian upbringing. When I asked them to show us a reputable news outlet that reported the fake news, no answer till this moment. Again, because she’s pro-abortion doesn’t make her evil. She has the rights to support her position same way you have your own rights to be anti-abortion. Bottom line: stop posting fake news to mislead people. You can’t be holier than the pope. Face Naija and leave yankee matters for their citizens. ——————————————————————— Dude… you are irredeemable. Do something meaningful with your life. I was at this rally. The hecklers (they were actually 2) were yelling anti-abortion sh*t, not Jesus is Lord. Stop misleading people with your useless and senseless posts. Same way you’ve been pushing out posts about MFM and their G.O, while promoting everything Deeper Life and Kumuyi. One idiot even said everyone heard what the heckler yelled. Ask them to list 2 or 3 reputable news outlets that reported this lie, they’ll go mute. Fox News is anti anything democrats or Kamala. Assume for a moment this was true, don’t you think it would have been posted all over their page by now? How about Max News and other top republican outlets? Some of you are just irredeemable. Only want to believe in your lies even though you know it’s not true. Someone supports abortion doesn’t make them not a Christian. I am a Christian and my bible teaches me to be tolerant of others choices. My bible teaches me to respect others choices and decisions. I don’t have to force my beliefs on others. Opportunity to announce that I’m abroad got me rolling on the floor lol. I too love Nairaland. Home of comedy. This OP has created countless and senseless topics on democrats and Joe Biden while promoting Donald Trump and republicans. Y’all claim to be Christians, but in reality, you are worse than demons. I would expect the word ‘Christian’ means ‘Christ like’. But most Nigerian Christians behavior is the opposite. No one, I mean none of us is perfect. Leave people alone to make their choice(s). Live your life and let others live their lives the way they want to. Don’t live your life and try to live others lives for them. We all are responsible for our choices. Life is per head. Either good or bad, we will face God and be judged individually on the last day. If I believe in abortion, it’s my right, not yours. If I believe in LGTBQ, again, it’s my right, not yours. I’m not gay and can’t be one. But if my neighbor loves butthole and I like p*ssy, it’s our choice(s), not yours. If I decide to vote Kamala, it’s 100% my right. Support your candidate in peace and let me support mine in peace. Same way people voted Tinubu, while some voted Atiku, and some others supported Obi. There are consequences for every action/decision. We face our consequences individually. Jesus worked and dined with sinners. Jesus asked us not to judge anyone. But most of you have turned yourselves to assistant/deputy Jesus. Back to the news, even Fox News that is anti-Kamala/anti-democrat, did you see them report this false narrative? Awon set “I too know”.

If you take a closer look at this whole thing, Fubara seems to be on the losing end. Fubara has been getting favorable judgements from the state court, which is expected. Wike and his gangs have been getting favorable judgments from the federal high court, which is also expected due to his connection. In the long run, the federal court judgement is what counts. This is because if the case gets to the Supreme Court and this Wike guy is confirmed as the speaker, then Fubara is gone. Wike’s men will move like a lightning bolt to impeach Fubara. Once he gets impeached by the pro-wike men, the show is over. Nothing the state courts can do about that. The Nigeria police is federal. They will move swiftly to enforce the judgement. No amount of protest or violence can return him back as governor. We all should learn to chose our fights wisely. |
H |
Fubara should fire all his advisers. Why withdraw your case in court when you intend to fight to the finish? He should fire all of them and get a refund. |
This is going to be a long movie/show. I fear for Fubara. If this case should go to the Supreme Court, I fear Wike will use his influence and if the Supreme Court should also affirm the appeal court ruling, Fubara might not even finish this term, talk more of re-election. I understand that he became the governor with the help of Wike, but that doesn’t mean he has to bow or get instructions from him on how to rule the state. Wike has done his time. No one disturbed or fought him during his administration. Fubara should be given a free hand to operate. But again, Fubara brought this on himself. I’m not privy to the agreement between him and Wike. If he entered any agreement with Wike, I believe he was fully aware of it before he agreed. He should honor the contract they both agreed. The fight between them started too early. I don’t pity Fubara. He knew what Wike was capable of before agreeing to whatever deal they had. If he knew the conditions attached to Wike’s support is something that doesn’t make sense, why agree to it in the first place, only for you to turn back in the middle of the deal. I only pity the people of Rivers state that are being denied good governance. When two elephants fight, the grass bears the brunt. A word of advise for everyone - don’t enter into an agreement or contract you know you won’t honor. |
This should be my first time responding to a post… and that is because your raised valid points. Now, let me enlighten you a bit. The US minimum wage is $15/hr. It used to be $7.25/hr before 2022… Note, when I say minimum wage, I mean federal and not states. Now, a standard full time is 40 hours weekly. If you do your calculations, you should be earning $600 weekly. Some months are 4 weeks while some are 5. So let’s use 5 weeks for this example. That means in a month, you’ll earn $3000. Expenses: Rent/mortgage, electricity, water, sewage, trash, phone bill, gas, food, auto insurance, groceries, health insurance, internet, rental/home owner insurance. Do you really think the $3000 a minimum wage earner earns monthly would cover these? Note, those are just basic bills… most Americans have student loans, credit card loans, pet, cable, car maintenance expenses, childcare, life insurance, 401k etc… The above calculations is for a single person, not family. A standard daycare is nothing less than $150 weekly. Note, I purposely didn’t add taxes as part of the expenses. If you’re single, you pay 25% as tax on your earnings. Also, you pay taxes on all those bills payment up there… so what do you think will be left after all these? Have you ever asked yourself why people work more than one job abroad? You think it’s for fun? I believe you know more people are homeless in the US compared to Nigeria. Do you think all or some of them really wish to sleep on the streets? Some cities in California hits over 100 degree f during the summer, and yet you see people sleeping on the streets under these conditions. You think they all like it that way? Now let’s talk about another point you raised - electricity. In the west, government has no business with electricity. Energy is managed by private companies, not the government. You don’t want to be in some states during summer, while some are during winters. A single family home pays over $200 for electricity bills during summer. Note, I’m only using minimums here. Nigeria is not the only country that took USD denominated loans. Are you saying our lenders should have given us loans in Naira? Let’s be constructive in our criticisms. Note, I used minimum wage cos your response was based on same (minimum wage). Like I said earlier, I don’t respond to mentions. Origin: |
They should please stop removing taxes on these things cos I’ve noticed anytime they announce that they’ve removed taxes on something, that’s when the price actually goes up instead of down… who dey deceive who? The other time, they said they removed tax on paddy rice. Can someone please remind me the current price of rice or paddy rice compared to before the tax removal policy was announced? |
I think it’s time we tell ourselves the truth. NNPC should be sold and the proceeds donated to charity… if there’s any change/balance left after the donation, the rest should be flushed down the toilet. Whats the difference between spending trillions on TAM that hasn’t achieved its goal and my suggestion up there? We keep spending trillions on the refineries that haven’t refined a single barrel of even red or groundnut oil in decades. Yeye dey smell. |
If they explain Nigeria to you and you understand, that means you’re not normal. Above is my favorite quote of the year from a fellow nairalander. Naija matter nah the more you look, the less you see. I’m starting to believe the framer of this sentence had Nigeria in mind when it was phrased. I was really hopeful that this arrangement would work… but alas, this is Naija… |
Lol… Naija my country… give us 24/7 electricity, we want 24 hours light, why can’t government provide stable and steady power supply, yen yen yen… now see the result… when people finally found out the cost of 24/7 stable power supply, they are now rejecting it… it’s not even 24 hours supply yet ooo, they are petitioning to reject it… See people rejecting Band A like Ebola… Is band A not supposed to be 20 hours minimum?… so why are people refusing to migrate? Cost? Everything comes with a price…. Ask people abroad how much they pay for that 24/7 stable power supply, you’ll be shocked. Now, this is not an excuse for the government’s failure. Successive governments have failed Nigerians. I still have hope for the country sha. Naija shall be great. |
Lol. When you tell them all politicians and parties are the same… they come here to preach how their candidate and party is the messiah… |
Where people dey run go self… make dem calm down… Tinubu just dey start with us… no need for them to dey in a hurry… we all go dey here watch am till the end together. |
