After Aba I moved to Owerri in a public bus and I immediately regretted doing that. Owerri is not as bad as Aba sha. It had calm to it but I saw bad road, mounds of uncleared refuse, but more absurd the number of roundabouts in that town for no reason and way too many billboards of Rochas that makes one dizzy.

We were stopped every 5 mins and the driver submitted 50 naira to the police and 100 naira to the Army. At a point I complained.

I was laughed at, what do I know. You are all shouting corruption and aiding corruption but nothing prepared me for the next stop. We got here.the driver ran out of 50s so he decided to play smart and we were stopped.

The police man told us he would search us all. I refused to let this pervert put his hand on my body because I saw the way he was feeling the female up. Mercifully I was on power dressing and when I said you don’t have such right to touch me, he knew I would not be toyed with. After he searched others. He still refused to let us go then he faced this woman with a baby and said he needed proof to confirm the child was hers .

The woman brought out the babies hospital card and wanted to call her husband, he refused and said the woman should breastfeed the child, so madam decided to mock the he goat policeman so she laughed at him and brought out her breast, entered the car and started feeding her child. A teenager who suffered severe burns has been given her life back after doctors helped patched half of her body using skin from deceased donors.

Dailymail reports that Alexandra Hollingsworth, 18, caught fire after taking part in a dangerous game which involved igniting alcohol.

Sustaining burns to 52 per cent of her body, the woman from Memphis, has had more than 20 operations to help her recover. So far, doctors have done skin grafts on her elbows, legs, thighs, back, arms and stomach, using flesh from her legs. While skin from cadavers – decellularised dermis – was used on her chest.

She said: ‘At first, it was weird because it was much darker than my skin tone but my body’s not rejecting it and I don’t think about it unless someone asks.
‘I have no idea who the donor is, I woke up and it was on my chest.
‘I’m really grateful I was able to get that because I needed it and I’m happy that my body accepted it.’

How the fire incident happened
Miss Hollingsworth’s life changed forever in July 2010. She was playing with alcohol and matches with her brother David and cousin Benjamin at home while her mother was at work.

Some of their friends had shown them how to ignite a small flame, which previously they had managed to put out. But this time it got out of hand as there was a sudden explosion, shortly before she was engulfed by a ‘hot, orange light’. Frozen in shock, she heard a high-pitched ringing sound and realised she was on fire.
She ran into her mother’s room to remove her trousers and tried to take her shirt off, but was scared of it burning her face.

Her cousin – who escaped with no injuries – and brother then smothered her in a blanket to extinguish the flames – as her brother also suffered burns.
Miss Hollingsworth said: ‘The entire house was covered in soot and smoke and the floor of my mum’s room had caved in. I felt like my skin and eyelids were melting.
‘As we ran out of the house, I caught my reflection in the mirror. My arms were in shreds and skin was hanging off me.’
For three years, she suffered with terrifying nightmares, which only stopped once her hair began to grow back and she slowly started feeling more like her old self.

Rising Ghanaian actress, Efia Odo has revealed the reason she is not at home with bras. The National Examinations Committee of West Africa Examinations Council said it had cancelled results of candidates involved in examination malpractice at the 2016 examinations.

The Committee, which meets twice a year, to consider matters related to the conduct of the May/June and November/December West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), is the highest decision-making organ of WAEC on examination-related matters in Nigeria.

The NEC in its communiqué signed by Head, Public Affairs, WAEC, Demianus Ojijeogu, at the end of the 62nd Meeting stated that, “After diligent deliberations, it approved that the entire results of candidates involved in proven cases, which attract Cancellation of Entire Results (CER) be cancelled, while subject results of those involved in proven cases which attract Cancellation of Subject Results (CSR), be similarly cancelled.

“In addition, the Committee because of the high incidence of schools writing on the chalkboards for their students to copy during the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2016 decided that if a school is warned for aiding and abetting cheating three times within a period of five years, it would be derecognised. It also took a decision to withdraw the recognition of two schools for assaulting a Supervisor,” the communiqué signed by Ojijeogu stated.

This knowledge of becoming more health conscious is being spread gradually; thus making the health sector a thriving or booming one. Thousands of people patronize hospitals and express their concerns over certain issues to the doctors. Most times people take doctors’ recommendation without knowledge of the main problem. They don’t ask questions either.

1. Aspirin and Its Side Effect

While some doctors may recommend the daily use of aspirin to the patients in order to prevent clotting of blood, many of them fail to educate them on the impending danger of prolonged use if aspirin.

This drug has been researched to cause internal bleeding in some patients. Like every other drug, it may work for the time being masking the problem and then the side effects could start to show; another reason to be placed on other drugs.

Some doctors make money out of you. It should be known that doctors don’t have your best interest at heart always. This isn’t a derogatory remark; some doctors actually get paid by prescribing certain drugs to patients. Same way some of them are given a certain percentage for referring patients to some diagnostic centers. It’s more or less like a business to many; some even own a part of the pharmaceutical company whose drugs get prescribed. While one’s is important, one should also learn to ask questions or double check before going for certain drugs. Doctors have the right to prescribe any drug whether or not it works for the diagnosed ailment.

4. Dirty Habits
With many looking up to their doctors for advices and medical counsel which may involve one being totally truthful, it should be known that some of these doctors also have personal struggles that they battle with. With many investing their unwavering trust in their doctors, extra care should be taken as some doctors wouldn’t tell you of their drinking habits even when they warn you about yours. Some could have been pedophiles or rapists.

5. Drinking Of Coffee In Pregnancy
Many doctors lecture women about the danger of drinking alcohol in pregnancy. Pregnant women are advised to stick to healthy meals but most doctors don’t stress the fact that coffee is dangerous for them. Not only does coffee increase the child’s heart rate alongside its mother, it also inhibits the absorption of iron.

NDA 69th Regular Course Admission Requirements.

The requirements for various undergraduate degree programmes are as detailed in the NDA website / applications portal, as well as in the JAMB Brochure and website. All other information concerning degree courses, eligibility and examination centres are as contained in the NDA website / applications portal. Please note that working knowledge of French Language will be an added advantage to applicants

1. To be eligible for admission into the Nigerian Defence Academy, a candidate must have the following:

i. Minimum of 5 credit passes at SSCE (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB) or GCE ‘O’ Level obtained in not more than 2 sittings relevant to the Faculty of their choices.

ii. Credit in English Language and Mathematics.

iii. At least two supporting relevant credits to the compulsory credits in Faculty of Military Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences while that of Faculty of Science is shown in the columns for compulsory and relevant credits. However, only one supporting relevant credit is required in the Faculty of Engineering.

iv. Be at least 17 years old and not more than 21 years old as at the month of August in the year of entry into the Academy (2018). Note that candidates who desire to join the Nigerian Air Force must be between 17 and 18 years old at entry, and also the Nigerian Army has suspended the enlistment of female candidates in her Regular Combatant programme in NDA.

v. Must not be less than 1.68 metres tall for male and 1.58 metres for female.

vi. Must be medically and physically fit and must be of good moral character.

vii. Must be single male or female without legal obligation to support any child or other individuals.

viii. Present a Certificate of State of Origin obtained from a Local Government Area or a Certificate of State Indigeneship from the Office of the State Governor.

ix. Working knowledge of French Language will be an added advantage.

2. Furthermore, candidates are to note the following:

i. Candidates awaiting results are not qualified. Application forms submitted without results will not be accepted.

ii. Only examination results of not more than 5 years old from the date of examination will be accepted.

iii. Currently, admission into the Academy is for both male and female Nigerians only, and is limited to Navy and Air Force in the case of female candidates.

This is a sad story of a young girl being abused by the son of a rich family that helped she and her mum

After my father died four years ago, his friend has been the one supporting my mother and I. Last year, our landlord gave us a quit notice and my late father’s friend offered us accommodation in his home. He and his wife were very kind to us. I was very happy and comfortable with them until their son returned from the U.S. He pressurised me to be his lover and I told him that wasn’t possible. She was so angry with him and threatened to get him imprisoned next time he touches me and that he’ll be returning to the U.S. in the next two weeks. In what is reminiscent of the biblical five foolish virgins who were locked out of the feast of the bridegroom, some commercial sex workers hoping to get into church late for prayers ringing in the New Year were shut out by security at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Akure.

Many prostitutes who ‎had attempted to sneak in for last minute grace got the shock of their lives as they were prevented from entering the church by the gatemen. But why did they stop the ladies?

According to Sunshine Times, there are many brothels around Sacred Heart Cathedral which cater to the needs of men in search of quick s*xual favours. It is the custom of the ladies to make a late dash into the church in order to crossover into the new year.

This is a true story of an unforgettable near death experience I had on the night of 24th December, 2015 that changed my life forever. I decided to share this

story here not because I want you to castigate me for my act (you can’t castigate me more than I have castigate myself), but because I believe a lot of people will learn from it and thereby avoid the pitfall in the coming 2016.

It all began when I attended the night church service held in my village. I came a little late so I wasn’t opportune to get a seat. I had to stand up for the mass. After standing in the cold for about an hour, my legs began to shiver, I decided to walk toward the church gate and back to stretch my near stiffed knees.

As I got to the gate, I stood for a while and then turn around to walk back when I heard a female voice from the dark corner of the gate; she said, “it’s boring right? “. I walked toward her to get a clear view of who was talking; I saw a light skin girl sitting on a small flower pavement. I asked her “what’s boring?”. “The service , the night, everything” She replied.

It was obvious she wanted us to have a conversation, so I quickly sat down beside her…

To cut the story short, from our little conversation I got to know that her name is Aderoke, her father is from Ogun state while her mother is from my village. She was born and brought up in lagos and can’t speak or understand Igbo language (meanwhile the service was coordinate in igbo language). This was few things I was able to get from her before she told me she was shivering due to the cold. As a sharp guy i reasoned she wanted me to cuddle her, so I told her to draw closer so I can hold her. Without hesitation she moved closer and placed her head on my shoulder while I placed my hand around her waist.

Everything went so fast, before I could say “bingo!” We were already into deep romance: kissing and groping.In the climax of it all she held me and whisper in my ear “sex me please”. As I look around for a more hidden corner, a part of me was persuading me to control my urge that she could be an agent of darkness sent to destroy me, and another part of me was telling me not to lose the opportunity that she’s just a lonely girl in need of some fun. I fell for the latter. I got a more hidden corner were we began to have it; first she bend low while I got on her back ; after awhile she suggested I sit on a pavement there while she climb on top.

Few minutes afterward, I felt a sudden sharp pain on my butt, I thought it was an ant or something similar, but the pain grew bigger. With a trembling voice I told her to stop and get down that I think something bit me, but she was so carried aways that she couldn’t hear me out. As the pain kept increasing, I had to push her out of me. I stood up, flash my phone touch in the pavement and there was a long big snake rowed up. The strange girl screamed and ran away. By then I was already feeling dizzy and fainting, I managed to pull myself back into the church premises and disclose to someone that I have been bitten by a snake after which I lost conscious of myself. I heard I was even fuming from the mouth.

After 2 days of serious traditional treatment, I regained consciousness. When I was asked to explain how I got bitten by a snake in the church, I didn’t know what to say. I can’t believe I nearly lost my life because of a few minutes romp with a total stranger, it’s a very shameful thing to tell your family. The only person i finally told the true of what transpired was a man of God; whom after praying, disclosed to me that the strange girl has a jealous spiritual husband who is a serpent. So the snake that bit me wasn’t ordinary.

I was having my lunch in a restaurant in Accra this afternoon, when A friend started a discussion of what some of our female Nigerian students in Ghana

have turned themselves into. I could not agree more. While the parents spend lots of money to ensure their daughters are comfortable and graduate with flying colors, their children have a different agenda.

There was this particular case of a young girl whose mother rented a 2-bedroom flat for her in Accra. My friend,said news just got to him this week, that this student slept with 5(five) guys at the same time and was still begging for more. She is always high on hard drugs. And, the mother, back in Nigeria will be boasting of her daughter, who is studying in Ghana. Oh, so pathetic.

Sadly to say, many of these young girls have become international prostitutes and seriously hooked on drugs. I mean what I am saying. And many people in Accra can bear me witness. Some of the mushroom universities attended by the students lack hostel facilities and the students are forced to rent accommodation thereby according them too much privacy which they are not matured enough to handle................

Three persons in possession of two human skulls have been arrested at a hideout in Ogbomoso by policemen from the Oyo State Police Command.

The state Commissioner of Police, Samuel Adegbuyi, said the arrest was made after police received information from members of the public, who had raised the alarm that the suspects were dealing in human parts.

One of the skulls had what looked like a deep machete cut at its temple, leaving the police to suspect that the person the head belonged to might have been gruesomely killed.

According to The Punch, Ramoni Akeem, 41, Azeez Ojelade, 36, and Salimon Salami, 40, were the suspects arrested by the police.

Akeem said he paid N10, 000 for the skulls and that Salami was the vendor.

Akeem said, “I am a herbalist and I heal people with herbs. I have never used body parts for rituals. One day, a friend came to me and said his friend discovered two corpses on a land where he had wanted to cut trees. He asked if I knew what body parts could be used for. I told him that I did not know anything about charms prepared with body parts.

“One of our friends, Saheed Ifa, who is a senior herbalist, heard about it and said he could make use of the skulls to prepare charms.
