PoliticsRe: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by MxreR:
You are known for writing long rubbish. Below is Onitsha Naval Base in Onitsha. You always pander to suit outsiders. Please explain this sign post. The whole of Awada is located in Idemili but today because of encroachment of Onitsha metro, Awada is now called part of Onitsha metro. The same thing happened at Nkpor, Ogidi, Obosi, Nkwelle etc. These areas maybe what they want to be but human subconscious have made people to consider those places part and parcel of Onitsha metro whether those area agrees to it or not.

pazienza:
has a valid point.
You dare not erect any signboard in Ogidi and write Onitsha below it. The Youths will burn it down. Same is Applicable to Obosi and Nkpor.
It is acceptable that Parts of Iyienu, Ikenga, Nkwelle Ogidi are within Onitsha metropolis, but this is only for academic purposes.
For practical purposes, you will never be allowed to call any part of Ogidi, Onitsha. Doing so will give the impression that Ogidi is under (inferior) to Onitsha. A proud Ogidi will never accept that. It will Building material market Ogidi, Idemili North LGA, Anambra. You will never see Onitsha appended there. Same is applicable to Nkpor and Obosi.
And by the way, we have Awada Obosi and Awada Onitsha. Obosi people will never allow you append the name Onitsha to their own part of Awada. I believe the right thing is to get a new neutral name for the entire new city now comprising of Onitsha town, Obosi, Nkpor,Ogidi, Nkwerre ezunaka, Ogbunike, Ogbaru, etc acceptable to all stake holders, like Portharcourt serves for all Ikwerre towns, Okrika towns, Ogoni towns within the metropolis, instead of maybe trying to force the name "Rebisi" on everyone.Enugu is also another example of a neutral name which encompasses many independent towns, such as Ngwo, Nike, Amechi, Ugwuaji, Akwuke, who form the Enugu metropolis.
You would agree with me that it would have been hard to get all these independent towns to accept officially, the name "Ngwo", to serve for everyone .

NAVAL BASE IS LOCATED in Ogbaru LGA but it is called NAVAL BASE ONITSHA. Check the signpost in my picture. That is to show you how far Onitsha metro has expanded to other surrounding areas.

This place is called HARBOUR INDUSTRIAL LAYOUT ONITSHA but it is located in Ogbaru LGA.

You see why I said you are insane. Anyone in Awada does not even know what is Obosi anymore, what he knows is that he is in Onitsha. Get informed and get out. cool

Its called awada obosi not awada onitsha

Just shut who are you to make such demand, an ordinary inferior Igbo like you from nsukka. If I tear you hot slap now. Imagine. cheesy

PoliticsRe: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by MxreR: 4:10pm On Mar 06, 2019
You don't know that, because you are neither from Ogidi nor Anambra. Someone from Ogidi has just confirmed that they are part and parcel of Onitsham metro, that is the same thing we all know all along. Awada is in Idemili LGA but today anyone in Awada is also in Onitsha.

[s]
MXrep:
Yes I know. That is why ogidi should swallow their pride and accept ogidi-onitsha. Just like Nike-Enugu
[/s]
PoliticsRe: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by MxreR: 4:08pm On Mar 06, 2019
It does not need to be officially gazetted because we all know already that Nkpor, Obosi, Nkwelle, Ogidi, Ogbunike, Obosi etc are all part and parcel of Onitsha metro, thereby making the city the largest in the SE.

[s]
MXrep:
This is officially gazetted onitsha territory. Its too bad. All neighbouring towns refused to be called onitsha.

PoliticsRe: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by MxreR: 4:06pm On Mar 06, 2019
Stop spitting rubbish. Onitsha city has expanded to becoming a mega metropolis because it has swallowed up the surrounding towns. The name of the expanding metropolis is known as ONITSHA. Get that into your nsukka big empty head. cheesy

[s]
MXrep:
That is what I am saying. When cities expand all adjoining town should adopt the name of the expanding city.

PoliticsRe: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by MxreR: 4:04pm On Mar 06, 2019
Mechionu, you don't need to see any where in Ogidi written Onitsha, the point is that once you are in Ogidi it is considered that you are within the Onitsha metro.

[s]
MXrep:
Post any sign with ogidi onitsha written on it

PoliticsRe: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by MxreR: 3:57pm On Mar 06, 2019
Just shut up nwokem, official gazzete or not, cities expand and swallow up smaller ones. Some areas in Ogun state that overlapped with Lagos is now considered to be Lagos because of proximity. No one in Akute Ogun state will tell you that he is not in Lagos. The same thing is happening in Onitsha where people at Nkpor, Ogidi, Nkwelle, Ogbaru, Obosi, etc, will automatically tell you that they are in Onitsha.

[s]
MXrep:
You are confused. We are talking about official gazette you are spewing emotional rants. Have you seen any sign written Obosi-onitsha in it the way you see Nike-Enugu?

That guy is a hopeless frustrated clown from nsukka but anywhere he sees Anambra, he will always want to belong. Just leave him for me to deal with as I have his key. cheesy

Please am done with this dude, he's getting annoying.

Though they have all accepted it generally as being part of Onitsha metro, then again what is your business in what they accept or reject? You deserve hot slaps. cheesy

[s]
MXrep:
They all rejected onitsha tag. Google list of cities in Nigeria you will see onitsha and obosi listed differently.

PoliticsRe: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by MxreR: 3:48pm On Mar 06, 2019
It has been accepted by all those areas, even someone from Ogidi here online has confirmed it. Stop breaking your head and learn to live with the reality. No one will be in Nkwelle or Ogidi or Nkpor without telling you that he is in Onitsha. Do you know that Awada lay-out is in Idemili, but someone in Awada already knows that he is in Onitsha.

[s]
MXrep:
It needs to be officially accepted but indigenes of those towns are against it

PoliticsRe: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by MxreR: 3:44pm On Mar 06, 2019
You need to grow up and face your own problem instead of constantly crying over what does not affect you. You are not from any of these areas that forms part of greater Onitsha metro, you are not even from Anambra but you will always want to re-write what you don't know anything about. I spit on you

[s]
MXrep:
You need to grow up

PoliticsRe: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by MxreR: 3:42pm On Mar 06, 2019
Are you from there to know that they kick against it? Someone from Ogidi has said here that they accepted to be part and parcel of greater Onitsha metro. The name of the metropolis is called ONITSHA. Learn to live with it. Stop crying over what does not affect you, learn to face nsukka for once.

[s]
MXrep:
We are saying the same thing. A single name for the urban metropolis is needed. Those people always kick against being called onitsha and officially not recognized as such
[/s]
PoliticsRe: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by MxreR: 3:38pm On Mar 06, 2019
Stop posting rubbish google image, as it stands today Obosi, Nkpor, Ogbaru, Ogbunike, Ogidi, Nkwelle etc are all part and parcel of greater Onitsha metropolis, and that makes the city the largest in the SE.

[s]
MXrep:
And I am telling you that ogidi is not part of onitsha officially. Google is your friend
[/s]
PoliticsRe: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by MxreR: 3:34pm On Mar 06, 2019
Obosi, Nkpor, Ogbaru, Ogbunike, Ogidi, Nkwelle etc are all regarded as greater Onitsha metropolitan area. Stop being a nuisance.

[s]
MXrep:
Obosi has never accepted being called onitsha. I don't know why you people prefer emotional rants than looking into my goid suggestion. Onitsha metropolitan area needs a single name

Thank you for the clarification. The guy is always feeling inferior because he is from nsukka.

We are called Onitsha and do not object to that.

He knows APC will definitely win and he's actually looking for attention.
All these Oil men sef.
do you have the election results already?
PoliticsIfeanyi Uba Takes Sanwo-Olu On Campaign Tour In Lagos (Pics) by MxreR(op): 3:18pm On Mar 06, 2019
It was panic of losing Lagos that made APC and presidency hurriedly engaging Ifeanyi Uba to rescue Sanwolu from being defeated by PDP. It is believed that many Igbo voters in Lagos have swung in favor of PDP candidate in the 2019 gubernatorial election in Lagos.

APC is not leaving anything to chance as they believe that Igbo votes will make a lot of difference in this election. Ifeanyi Uba was spotted with the APC gubernatorial candidate since yesterday up until this afternoon, moving from different locations where they were seen pleading with Igbos to vote Sanwolu as their interest will be protected if he wins.

Whether or not Igbos in Lagos will accept their bait is still unknown. Presidency had earlier in the week spoken directly to the Capital Oil boss on phone twice, imploring him to try his possible best to swing Igbo votes in favor of Sanwolu.

Lagos is the commercial capital of Nigeria and any serious political party will like to covert it it to itself.

PoliticsRe: PANIC: FG Intensify Pressure On Uba To Deliver Igbo Votes To Sanwolu In Lagos by MxreR(op): 2:07pm On Mar 06, 2019
gidgiddy:
I simply don't understand how Ifeanyi can be in YPP, the party he just won elections with, but is campaigning for Sanwolu of APC?

How can someone who just won elections with a party be campaigning for another party within a week?

Ifeanyi Ubah has serious problems
Presidency called him twice this week and made a very juicy offer he could not refuse. Lagos is very important to any political party that knows what they want.
PoliticsPANIC: FG Intensify Pressure On Uba To Deliver Igbo Votes To Sanwolu In Lagos by MxreR(op):
APC have been thrown into panic mode since it was alleged that massive Igbo voters in Lagos have swung in favour of the PDP gubernatorial candidate in Lagos state. The panic mode has reshaped and made APC leadership to recruit Ifeanyi Uba in what could be termed a very juicy offer to deliver the massive Igbo votes to APC in Lagos.

There is fear within the APC ranks that last minute deal may not succeed, this prompted president Buhari to place a called twice directly to the Capital Oil boss, giving him the challenge of making sure that APC wins the next guber poll in Lagos. It is believed that Igbos accounts for over 40% of the votes in Lagos and whoever they decide to swing in his favour will likely win if the election remains free and fair.

The Igbo votes in Lagos have made it possible for some Igbo sons and daughters to win elections in Lagos federal and state houses without the input of Yorubas in the state.

President Buhari and APC chieftains in Lagos are jittery that should Igbos swing their votes for the PDP candidate that it will be goodbye for APC i Lagos state. All that any candidate needs to win in Lagos is just 55% indigenous population and 55% Igbo population.

Whether or not Ifeanyi Uba will succeed is a matter of time.
