it was done according to the four cardinal points, the SE /SS mapping was a deliberate action. It would have even made more sense if it was called East central instead of SE, how can one explain the reason Cross River and Edo states are part of SS?

A noun is a name of a place, animal or things. SS is a name of a mapped out state. Got it?

they are called geopolitical zones in Nigeria, hence the mapping is adjudged to be wrongly done. It would have made more sense if they had used ethnic names instead, because Akwa cross location as SS makes no sense.
