Politics'ekiti Voters Were Enticed With Rice'' - Ayo Fayose Admits by Mykel4God(op): 6:33pm On Jul 06, 2014
The Governor-elect of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, in a interview with NIYI ODEBODE and ADELANI ADEPEGBA, had this to say about the controversy surrounding his victory..
*.Some people have argued that your victory was achieved through inducement of voters with rice and money?
Unfortunately, they (APC members) are the ones sharing money. They are the ones that engaged in money politics. They buy all the buy-ables. I have been out of office for eight years, where will I get that kind of money to buy votes? The issue remains that somebody that eats your food must be
convinced before he can vote for you. Can a meal of rice induce somebody to vote for you? Fayemi gave cooked rice, I gave uncooked rice. This is politics and you need everything to entice voters and rice was shared by me, almost two weeks before election.
*.Did you have to do that?
Yes. Why was Governor Fayemi buying buses and inscribing Iyaloja, Igbo community on them close to the election period? Why was Governor Fayemi’s wife donating garri to the farmsteads? Why was he giving money to aged citizens and giving gifts including recharge cards to the people? Why did his wife do that? These are petty antics of politicians to draw voters and that does not change anything.

Nairaland GeneralWhere Do 'mad People' Go When They Die? by Mykel4God(op): 6:23pm On Jul 06, 2014
*lol*
Please I'll be glad if anyone can answer this question.
In the Sunday school class, I even asked my teacher then but she didn't even answer the question.
I mean, we've been told that all sinners will rot in hell and I know some mad people do
what would be considered a sin if done by a sane person. Now, will they get a pass because they are mentally unstable? Or will they roast in hell like every other sinner?Does the bible even say anything about mad people? I'm just really curious, where will they go when they die? Or when rapture occurs?

CelebritiesNigerian Stars Not Qualified To Join Illuminati – Modenine by Mykel4God(op): 5:01pm On Jul 06, 2014
Nigerian Stars Not Qualified To Join Illuminati–Modenine– With several symbols and signs attributed to theIlluminaticult beginning to find its way into the Nigerian music videos, veteran rapper, Modenine, says the symbols are not real and that noNigerian starsis a member of Illuminati but are merely displaying signs and symbols for the show.Modeninesaid that Nigerians are still too small and not even qualified to join the cult. He said even American Jay Z will be a pawn and the real Illuminati members are the Medici family, who own all the banks.
Modenine illustrated with Kanye West, who had the intent of launching his own clothing line but couldn’t because he is not Illuminati. He said were Kanye West really a member of the group, he would have succeeded in having his clothing line and had a big office in France by now.
He said Kante West is not qualified to join yet Nigerians are claiming to beilluminatiand attaching all kinds of funny symbols like horns, triangles, eyes and whatever to themselves are blatantly lying just to get popular among fans because they aren’t even qualified even with all they claim to have.
Not too long ago, there were speculations that singerD’banjhad joined Illuminati cult when he suddenly started showing up with triangle necklaces and making some weird poses, after associating with Kanye West but like Modenine has said, it could all be a show. He recently wore the same triangle necklace that caused all that fuse to his fathers’s birthday, click hereto see.
Modeninewho is about to drop his album soon ‘Above Ground Level’, has warned Nigerian stars to cease their association with entities they don’t have the slightest idea about because they may be bringing more harm to themselves than good. He said there are demons associated with these things and the demons would not care whether you are only doing whatever you do for fun or for fame.
Romance5 Tips For Fixing A Broken Relationship by Mykel4God(op): 11:26am On Jul 05, 2014
Relationships are so delicate and can break on minor issues and simple misunderstandings. Once broken, it is a die-hard task to mend the relationship and get back the same intensity of affection in the relationship. There can be visible reasons, may be a misunderstanding or communication gap, at times it can be a mistake of someone else; fragile relationships can break over any simple cause. The cause for the easy breaks in relationships is that relationships are mind products, subjective to each person.
Many relationships are not the union of best possible matches but best available pairs, or when people misconceive the partner so. Relationships start blindly by peripheral understandings and attraction; it proceeds through adjustments, forgiveness and understanding; and breakup over misunderstandings, mistakes or lack of tolerance. Getting back into the relationship, though difficult, is possible if approached the issues with the right understanding and mind to change and mend. Below are some tips to help you fix a broken relationship…
1. Understand the Reasons Behind Breakup:
To resolve any issue, understanding the reasons is important. Without knowing the root cause, relationship issues cannot be repaired. It can be a past reason which is now absent or a still persisting reason. Analyze each stages of the relationship and find out at which point what has gone wrong. Once the reasons of the break up are realized, the solution may be easy. Figuring out the element that lead to the breakup helps the partners to change it and get back into the relationship. Experts say that the process of figuring out the reasons of breakup can be much effective if made mutual.
2. Forgiving is Magical:
Once the issues are dug out, the next step is to forgive the mistakes of both the partners. If you still hold on to the mistake committed by the partner, then it may cause another breakup in the future. Understand why the partner committed such a mistake and forgive him/her forever if you wish to take the relationship a long way further. Your forgiveness may initiate a new life and new relationship between you two. If the mistake is found to have committed by you, then be ready to change entirely to not to repeat the action and let your partner to go away forever, leaving no chance of a reunion.
3. Renew the Commitment:
Once you are back in track, renew the commitment and let your partner know the new resolutions and decisions. Once you commit to be good to your partner and also to avoid mistakes, then adhere to the commitments. Many partners get into commitments and they forget them easily. Consistency of commitments is very much required to keep the warmth of relationships ever remaining. It is rightly said that you can never change the past; but possibly the future. Realize the past mistakes and commit to not repeat them in the future.
4. Change Yourself:
You may not be able to change the partner as you desire; but you can very well change yourself. Changing yourself is the better way of resolving the issues and renewing the problems. The changes may make you appear more appealing and accepted by the partner. You can also try to implement certain changes in the partner but if the person is willing, then the only way is to change yourself to comply with the partner. Changing oneself doesn’t mean being submissive to the partner, but following a better way to be in a more satisfying relationship.
5. Communication is the Keystone:
Most of the issues in relationships can be resolved with right communication with the partner. It is commonly observed that slight misunderstanding or ignorable mistakes are many a times the cause for several breakups. Approach the issues in a relationship, positively and try to make each partners understand the real situation. Communication means conveying the facts and truth and also offering support, help and forgiveness each other. Talk with a mind of acceptance. Do not try to defend or resist the arguments of the partner and accuse each other for all the mistakes. Let the communication be creative, rather critical.

Fashion“beauty Pageants Should Be Banned In Nigeria”- Etcetera Says by Mykel4God(op): 10:49am On Jul 05, 2014
Etceteranow shares his opinion about pageants in Nigeria. He thinksbeauty pageantshould be banned in the country. Read what he said below…
Every year, thousands of girls compete in various beauty pageants across Nigeria. While the organisers may believe that they are helping our girls to feel “beautiful,” they are also in many other ways causing significant damage to the self-esteem and body perception of other girls. The girl who won may feel as beautiful as the prettiest woman ever created, but what about the girls who didn’t win? How do they feel? I spoke with some past contestants of one of the pageants (the girls that didn’t win) and asked them why they think they didn’t win, and this is what some of them said, “Because I wasn’t pretty enough,” “Because the organisers didn’t like me,” “Because it is a racket and who knows what she has offered,” etc. Things like this inspire jealousy, low self-esteem, and other self destructive behaviours such as self isolation, social anxiety, eating disorder, drug abuse, personality disorder, bitterness and social phobia among our girls. Continue…
Beauty pageants in Nigeria should be sanctioned. Where do we draw the line between “beauty pageant” and “prostitution?” These pageant organisers and agencies are doing nothing but exploiting our girls in order to make money. The society is becoming so twisted and our sense of right and wrong is becoming so skewed. You gather politicians and paedophiles to watch girls in G-strings and bikinis wriggling their waists all in the name of making a show for TV. Are the contestants always meant to lie about their beliefs and relationship status in order to get a good score? Have we totally lost sight of what is morally right and wrong?
Beauty contests seem pointless to me. To tell a woman to submit to someone else’s definition of beauty is crazy. So when the contest is over and someone wins, does that immediately make them more beautiful than the rest? Are they more beautiful according to a panel of judges? I think it is a sick idea and the money spent organising these beauty contests can be more useful for other causes.
Beauty pageant has been nothing but degrading and harmful to our women and children. It turns our women into objects to be used and played with. It makes the women that don’t make it through feel bad about their looks and even those that do get through feel like they still have to do something more to look prettier. These beauty pageants also set false standards about how beautiful women are supposed to look. So, just because a woman is thin with certain looks, it makes them more beautiful? And women that are thick or big can’t be pretty or beautiful? All they have succeeded in saying is that beauty is only skin deep. Well my friend, it isn’t.
Isn’t it bad enough seeing young Nigerian girls forcing eating disorders on themselves just to be perceived as prettier? ‘I am so fat and it is just not healthy’ has become the chorus of every girl on the street. Parents have become very competitive trying to make their daughters more beautiful than their neighbours’ by forcing their children to make unnecessary adjustments to their bodies to look better than their peers. Now we see six-year-olds having hair extensions, permanent mascara and waxed eyebrows. Do these children really need to be exposed to such things to know that they are beautiful? Do we need our children to think that their looks are judged and if they don’t stand out among their peers, they are not beautiful?
Can a woman ever have a sincere appreciation of her body when the only time she is ever praised for her looks is after hours of preparation with dozens of beauty products? Beauty pageants can only judge what we can see at first glance, and women are so much more than that. The society needs to protect the children from the sick idea of assembling girls in camps and tasking them with over-sexualised dance routines. These beauty pageants can only ingrain into our women that in order to be beautiful, they need to be skinny, which for some body types is incredibly unhealthy. Sincerely, what is the moral behind these beauty pageant shows? How have they helped the society in general? With sports, we can talk about mental discipline, fitness and advance body control. For all the money that beauty pageants cost to organise, is it really worth it? Of all the things you could expose our girls to, are pageants really the best thing out there?
When you teach people that beauty is only on the outside, it can cause major problems, not only health problems but social, physical and mental problems also. If a beautiful girl enters a pageant and doesn’t win, she may begin to consider herself ugly or fat or too skinny. Beauty pageants create a lot of problems that can affect not only the girl but the people she surrounds herself with.
Women have always demanded respect from men. Not only should they demand it, I think they deserve it. But why make them scamper around in G-strings and bikinis showing off their bodies, knowing that men are going to go “gaga” and lick their lips. I don’t want to sound disrespectful, but can you blame the men? Men will always be men. We can’t change our nature, but you know what we can change. We can change the fact that our women are naked and competing to be “the most beautiful in the world.” We shouldn’t endorse beauty contest because it brings money to some people. I believe that there are still a handful of women out there that share the sentiment that beauty contests are wrong and give men the wrong idea of what a “true wife” looks like.

PoliticsMichel Djotodia;Central African Rebublic President,steps Down. by Mykel4God(op): 7:07pm On Jan 10, 2014
Michel Djotodia, the rebel leader who seized control of Central African Rebublic only to see desperately poor country tumble toward anarchy and sectarian bloodshed, agree to resign on friday along with his prime minister, regional officials announced.

On the street of Bangui, the capital of Central African Republic, there was jubilation about the possibility that the terrible security situation might change.

"Finally,we are free! We are going to return home at last" said Carina Gbegbe who has been living in a displacement camp on the southern outskirts of the capital.

There has been growing pressure for Djotodia to step aside. The resignation should help placate the armed millitias who are used to violence to seek his ouster. However, his departure could also create an even greater power vacuum in a land that has long known coups and dictatorship.

Ahmat Allami, the secretary-general of the Economic Community of Central African States, made an announcement following a summit in neighboring Chad on the crisis. Legislators from Central African Republic also were flown to the Chadian capital of N'Djamena on Thursday to take part in the discussions.
