When will EFCC call Fayemi for interrogation?

Rekiya Iletu, the Provincial Coordinator in charge of the Children Church of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has urged mothers to spend quality time with their children.
Iletu made the plea in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday at the Musical Concert of the Lagos Province 15 of RCCG, Idi-Oro, Mushin, Lagos.
She said that sexual abuse was on the increase, adding that parents had the responsibility to educate their children on the dangers of sexual abuse.
“The economy is tough, parents are busy trying to get means of livelihood for this same children that are being neglected. They should spend short but quality time with their children.
“When you get home in the evening and weekends, they should try to bond with their children. It is not how long that time is but how quality is that time spent.
“In Church, we also encourage the children to share with their parents and with us in Church what they are going through in their various homes, because the Church is the support for the homes.
“What we do in the Church is that we do training for our teachers, to be able to bond with the children and teach them self preservation values that their body is the temple of God.

“Teach them about predators that would touch them and why they must tell them and why they should not go to dangerous area, she said.
Iletu said that to avoid sexual abuse, parents should create the awareness from age four.
“We teach them that the sacred part of their body like the virginal, their breast should be covered and should not be touched by their uncles, teachers, even their parents.

“By doing so, sexual abuse will be reduced, ‘’ she said.
The musical concert is a yearly event that provides an opportunity for children from Lagos Province 15, which has about 100 parishes to come together.

The concert is an avenue for children in the province to meet each other; to network; a forum for them to showcase their God-given talent; and an avenue for them to dive into the bible teaching.

*Urges cooperation with Markafi’s Caretaker Committee

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has hailed the judgment of a Federal High Court, sitting in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, which affirmed the appointment of the Senator Ahmed Markafi led National Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), saying “the judgment has resolved all issues concerning the leadership of the PDP and all genuine lovers of the party must now sheath their swords and support the National Caretaker Committee in the overall interest of the party.”

Governor Fayose, who reacted to the judgment through his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, said the Port-Harcourt Federal High Court judgment has put paid to the antics of those who wished that the PDP is disorganised so as to silent opposition permanently and continue with their draconian rule unchallenged.
The governor called on all gladiators in the party leadership crisis,which the court has now resolved to put the crisis behind them and allow the party to move forward.
“I am happy that the court has finally put to rest all issues concerning the leadership of the PDP because the Federal High Court, Port-Harcourt judgment, which affirmed the Port-Harcourt National Convention that dissolved the Senator Ali Modu Sheriff led National Working Committee and constituted the Senator Ahmed Markafi led National Caretaker Committee is a declarative judgment and not an interim order or interlocutory injunction.
“The judgment goes to the root of the crisis and since the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the security agencies themselves were categorical in their position that today’s judgment will form the basis of their position on the PDP leadership issue, it should be clear to all that it is only the National Caretaker Committee that can be related with by anyone.
“However, since it is a family affair where there should be no victor and no loser, all genuine lover of the PDP must put the past behind them and support the National Caretaker Committee so as to return the party’s lost glories,” the governor said.
