I get baffled when I read articles and comments about how guys loses their hard earned resources to some golddigging ladies.

See, there are super rich ladies out there who'll spend dirty on well orientated guys. Much isn't needed, just look good, speak well and make sure to have a great sense of humor.

I live inside Westend Estate in Ikota Lekki, a lady rented the apartment for me. I met her as a Dispatch Rider.

All nah Format!!

I know u are a troll, but since u are human & not a robot, at least have some shame. Btcce came out in 2009 & was worth less than $1, today it is worth $65k & u still have mouth to talk? What was the worth of 1 naira in 2009 & what is the worth today of 1 naira? If one had just 10,000 naira in btcce as at 2009, today that person will be a millionaire, but 10,000 naira savings in 2009 can barely buy a create of egg today. It is worthless! Stop constituting nuisance on this thread!

So it’s advisable to buy some bitcoin and just leave it there for a while?

The church should not have mentioned NAFDAC because once you do that you indirectly invite NAFDAC to scrutinise and pass judgement on the water and soap.
But I also believe that God can truly use anything through an anointed pastor or prophet to heal people. NAFDAC cannot detect or confirm such healing power in their laboratory.

You will tell me where Jesus, his disciples or the prophets sold various miracle items in the Bible. Na why these men go Dey use una cash out.

Lies!

Even in my street you can see many one-branch churches!

I have seen many one room churches! Even shop churches! Mini flat churches! Two bedroom churches!

Abeg churches for Nigeria go pass 10,000!

For Somolu LG alone there could be over 700 of such churches!

We can estimate Lagos to have as much as 3500-4500 churches!

Churches for Lagos alone enter 10,000

I don't know the skit maker but RIP to his late dad. We don come, na to go back remain..

You ask some people where they see themselves in 5-15 years, they tell you about career prospect, marriage, raising kids. Ask them about 20-50 years and they tell you about their retirement plans. But what about 55-100 and more years? Then the reality of we won't live here forever comes to mind, causing psychological tensions. So you mean in the next 100, 200, 500, 1000 years, we would be nowhere to be found here on earth embarassed? Even our descendants won't even know, care or bother much about us (just as we to our forefathers) cry Damn!!!

Solar energy business can double your money in a short time, where I am now in the North, the parts are very cheap, I buy and sell in the East triple the amount I bought it here. Also you can try vtu business, it's what gave me money for a start and I am still into it. Millions of Nigerians use data on daily basis, all you need is a website like mine and you are good to go. There is money in Telecom business, people like Blord is into it too.

The comments here so far are highly bias and immensely lopsided, Op made a point, it's not about how much you earn, but how much you can manage while pushing for a better life. Some of our parents trained us with less than 30k per month and that didn't stop us from becoming responsible children. All fingers are not equal, what about people in interior villages with nothing but farm work as a means of livelihood, are they not living quality life according to their level, everybody must not be rich, some don't even care, they just want to be comfortable and afford basic things of life. I will use myself as an instance, my parent trained me with less than 30k salary till I graduated from the University, though Unizik fee then was 21k, I served my country last year, though I haven't gotten a job yet but I send 60k to them monthly for upkeep, all thanks to God and my tech skill as a Web developer. It's not about how much you earn, but how much you can manage the little you have and also invest some parts in what will increase yield. You don't need millions to start investment, even with a paltry 5k or 10k, you can double it if you have business acumen.

Tell me a business I can invest 1 million naira into and will yield good returns

The good thing about such people as the OP/author is that you don't see them in real life to counter them squarely and rub their faces with their ridiculous ideologies.

Despite his useless take, he did make some reasonable and good points: savings and living within your means. However, we must be careful not to swallow the gibberish because of this.

The return on investment in marriage is nothing. Especially for the man. Reproduction as a result of human biological imperative and quality parental investment in raising kids is the point marriage has good leverage. Aside from that, it is nothing but a useless burden.

The OP failed to factor in inflation and poor economic turnout in his post, which affects purchasing power gravely.

The OP said living in a 60k annual rent residence. 5k/month.
However, he failed to consider the utter state of such residences and the poor neighborhoods that define such places of inhabitation. He wants to live by faith.

What should fear you mostly as an individual is your inability to achieve something tangible and meaningful with your life as you become older. Not marriage.

You should be thinking of not accomplishing your purpose in life rather than the thoughts of marriage because you want a steady supply of sex - for the men or security - for the women.

You all just believe that marriage is a blissful union that comes with a special kind of treasure box that will fill the whole house once you say "I do". Rubbish!

Before you get married, make sure your tentacles are large and strong.

Make sure you are closer to your goals in life.

Make sure you have the ways and means to feed yourself and 5 other persons as a single man in the next 20 years without flinching.

Make sure you are fully rooted in your skill and career pursuit.

The world is tougher for you because your parents never cared about their children. Just reproduce like rabbits and inshallah. Jehovah will take the wheel.

Make sure you are emotionally, psychologically, and financially buoyant.

Don't pick marriage in January and start complaining about how the economy is unfavorable to you, your wife, and 4½ kids.

The same applies to women.

Be career-oriented + endeavor to protect your feminity. The economy is performing poorly, and a whole lot is happening concurrently. It is not an easy thing but you must carry your cross too.

Marriage will not give you any blessings. No blessings. It will be enjoyable when you have set the path to follow for yourself.

Don't allow your kids to suffer the same fate you are suffering as a result of your parent's faults and mistakes.

How do you even want to help a child achieve his dreams when you, as the father or mother, aren't able to do so for yourself?

I wish this could be sent to every struggling young Nigerian men out there. This statement “na God Dey take care of pikin” is the reason why we have lots of kids begging on the streets. Young people need to be oriented on what it takes and means to run a family

"Spend below what you earn. This is where a lot of couples run into avoidable problems. With #62,OOO monthly, you should not live in an apartment more than 6Ok annual rent."

You don't need a soothsayer to tell you Seun Oladele is a SILLY boy who got his hands on one of those personal finance books.

You will NEVER find a habitable apartment for #60,000 per YEAR. Except maybe somewhere in Borno State.

Also getting married on a #30k or even #60k salary is just being dumb. That's NOTHING!

Deduct transport fare from that money and it's even LESS than nothing.

Whatever is left after Tfare would not even be enough to feed ONE person not to talk of feeding a FAMILY.

Also the idea that you could get married in January at a salary of #30k and MAGICALLY be on a salary of #200k by March is RIDICULOUS.

While not completely impossible, such leap in salary is RARE and UNLIKELY.

There is NO difference between planning your life on something like that and playing BetNaija as a viable financial strategy.

It's just STUPID!

I totally agree with you
