DeSantis lost because he couldn't out-Trump Trump.

The Republican party initially backed DeSantis, and Trump threw many fits on Truth Social over it.

But when the party realized that Trump's Maga base, which is a huge bloc of their voters, weren't ever going to abandon the former president's next presidential bid, the party leaders ditched DeSantis.

My problem is with the decision. If you observe well, you will notice that the referee wasn't entirely in agreement that it should be a penalty, you can tell from his demeanor after he watching the clip repeatedly on the VAR screen. But because VAR had already called his attention to it, he had no choice but to give it, since VAR believes it should be a penalty.

The reason I don't support these kind of decisions is that it will go around and everybody will be affected if left unchecked.

If Man Utd had buried their chances in the 1st half, this poor decision won't be an issue. Man Utd is a poor team, but some people will make the game all about that penalty - instead of ETH's foolishness.
