Serious, my body been weak with Sowore demands. I was expecting demands like addressing inflation, bringing back subsidy, improving security, etc, to be the key demands and I come dey see Nmamdi Kanu. These demands have made the momentum of northerners cold I no go lie you. Sowore should hands off leadership of this protest and allow us confront this wicked government with demands of what is bedeviling us.

I am pro-protest, but you see this issue of Nnamdi Kanu release as a key demand, I can not in all honesty risk my life for a useless demand as that. Mu a Arewa babu abunda ya shafe mu da wani zancen Nnamdi Kanu. Na wetin go mek many of us northerners boycot this thing be that. Na hunger and insecurity dey worry us no be Nnamdi matter.

I did. My institution issued a circular on that regards but I later heard that (I didn't see) a new circular was issued that we should disregard it. Whatever the case I was able to validate it.

I think on this validation stuff, you have more to lose in not doing it than in doing it as an FTI worker. If you do it and your salary scale is/has been eventually moved out of the IPPIS platform, you have nothing to lose. But if you fail to do it and FG later insist that it instructed all federal workers to do it, hence, would penalize those who did not, you don enter kasala of travelling back and forth Abuja.

How to calculate the new minimum wage

E.g If you're receiving N60k

To calculate the new salary based on the new minimum wage increase:

1. Find the percentage increase in the minimum wage:
(New minimum wage - Old minimum wage) / Old minimum wage = (N70,000 - N30,000) / N30,000 = 133.33% (or 1.3333 as a decimal)

2. Apply the percentage increase to your current salary:
Current salary x Percentage increase = N60,000 x 1.3333 = N80,000

Since your current salary (N60,000) is higher than the old minimum wage (N30,000), your new salary will be higher than the new minimum wage (N70,000). Therefore, your new salary would be N80,000.

However, if your current salary was below the old minimum wage, your new salary would be the new minimum wage (N70,000).

Consequential adjustment would determing the percentage increase each salary scale and it's corresponding GL would get. Like me, I'm on Contediss GL11, I know sey my increase no go pass 35% if e even reach. Last MW increase, it was as low as 16% for GL10 upwards on some salary scales. May God help us in this tinubuconomy. MW increase benefits those on lower cadre more than those high up.

I have sent an email to PenCom 3wks ago, 2wks ago, and last week, all of which they failed to respond to. Their national CC number is not functional and their SW regional CC team told me to inform my pension administrator (Leadway) to do a follow up for me when I called them. It’s ridiculous, because PenCom stated on their website that approval takes within 5 working days whereas my application has been pending PenCom approval (since 25th June) for 17 WORKING DAYS!!!

Never knew Pencom has gotten this bad. When I processed mine, their CC was always available and even the email channel. They were responsive and my application was processed within a week I think. The only delay I had was was with Stanbic Ibtc's "verification of signature" and Stanbic ibtc guided me every step of the way.

The evil in you now decided to try all possible means to discourage others from following same route just because you feel your chances might be threatened. But let us assume everything you said is 100% true, since na naija we all dey, why are you so worked up about people submitting CVs that won't yield any results? How is it your concern? If the REA staff collecting the CVs and stamping acknowledgement copies aren't bothered, knowing that management won't use those CVs (meaning na jaki job dem dey do), why are you, a bystander who isn't contributing to people's TP, nor collecting the CVs, nor opening the gate, angry that people are walking into the REA HQ to submit their CVs? Please help me understand.
