I've been here for more than a month and I keep seeing conflicting reviews on the Pixel. Or are the iphones a better bargain in my case?

Unfortunately this is true for pixel with tensor chip (pixel 6 and above), it is weak and not as efficient as its flagship counterparts like iphone 16 and S24.

During outdoors activities, light gaming or live streaming my pixel 8 does heat up, and there's no much difference between pixel 8 and pixel 9.

I know that most phones heat up, even the iPhones and Samsung's, but does your pixel 8 normally heats up indoors while under normal tasking?

During my time, ippis capturing will require a copy of your appointment letter and your highest academic qualification. They'll keep a photocopy of each. I was paid after 2 or 3 months, I can't remember, and to date I no receive any arrears.

I handled documentation for new staff last year and was instructed to accept statements of result. However, they were given an ultimatum to present their original certificates within two years, which will coincide with the confirmation of their appointments.

It unlikely to affect you. Mine is worse than yours as almost all my certs have different arrangements and I've scaled through documentation without issues. Get an affidavit of verification of name from the High Court to be on safer side. That was what was required from me during ippis capturing at my present place of work, cos of mismatched names on highest qualification and bank details.
