Salaries for treasury funded agencies are based on consolidated salary scales. There are several agencies on same CONPSS with ministries. NOA is on CONPSS.

I experienced this from my 4a 5G, 5a 5G, 6 and 7 and just last week my brother confirmed the same issue with his 9. The devices heat up and freeze when doing semi heavy tasks like a WhatsApp video call. I don switch to Huawei and iPhone now. I'll fix the Pixel 7 and sell it off. I don hang boot for pixel side now

NSCDC pays more. There's also room for bribery and corruption, if that's your thing. No need to further your education. But, you will wear uniform, be exposed to more risks, work on public holidays, transfer to states you never dream of going, probably work outside in the harmattan or in the rain. It comes with the job.

Graduate Assistant pays less but you don't get room for bribery and corruption like in Civil Defense. You get to stay and plan your life in one place with your family. No fear of transfers. No writing of promotion exams every three years with fear of failure. No working outside during harsh weather. But you will mark, supervise students, write journals and academic papers, make research, attend conferences.

Choice wisely.

Even the salary disparity you people keep talking about is not that significant (if at all there is any), considering the newly implemented CATA allowance. I don't think the entry-level salary being quoted here for NSCDC is up to what a GA now earns in a Federal University.

2025 to 2026 is a huge blessing to me; getting a graduate Assistant role, shortlisted for CDCFIB also. But then, one can only choose 1 at a time. I pray that some merit base be filled with these 2 FG vacancies I'm leaving behind.

You have no worries. But I guess you sighted a photocopy of your APL with the person doing the capturing? They'll give una. My office did same thing years ago. They gave out APLs 2-3wks after capturing.
