Thanks for your feedback. I actually understand the L1 visa process. In fact, I have submitted my L1 petition for a new office I set up in the US to transfer myself as the CEO from Nigeria. I am simply looking for someone in Nigeria who has gone through the L1 visa to share their interview experience and timelines in getting a petition approved. Cheers! Taal17: |
Can we discuss L1 visas in this thread as well? If yes, I’d like to know the success rate of L1 petition for Nigerians and if anyone who has gone through the L1 visa process successfully is willing to share their experience. Thank you for your time. |
No! This is the first time I am trying to reschedule my appointment. I will simply attend the interview with the old ds160 if I am unable to reschedule with the new DS-160. Thanks for your attention on this. Efetobore1980: |
@Efetobore1980, Thank you so much for your detailed advice. I really appreciate the guidance. Just to clarify, I actually contacted the AVITS help line earlier this week to request an update of my DS-160 on my appointment profile to reflect my new confirmation number. However, they informed me that because my appointment date (November 20) is within three business days, they’re unable to update my DS-160 information in the system right now. According to their message, “once the current appointment date has passed, it will be possible to update your appointment profile with the new DS-160 confirmation number, and we will inform you accordingly.” The challenge I’m facing now is that when I log in to my AVITS portal and try to reschedule, the system keeps saying: “Your appointment is already booked.” So at the moment, I’m unable to proceed with a reschedule or update until after the 20th. I just wanted to explain the situation clearly in case anyone else has faced something similar, your insights are truly helpful Efetobore1980: |
Hello everyone, I need some quick clarification on my B1/B2 visa appointment. My current U.S. B1/B2 interview is scheduled for November 20 at the Abuja Embassy. I originally submitted my DS-160 in December 2024, but I recently created a new DS-160 with updated travel information. I contacted U.S. Avits support, but they said they cannot update my DS-160 profile since my appointment is within three business days and that the DS-160 confirmation must be within six months of the appointment date. Please, I’d like expert advice on this: ✅ Can I attend the interview with both my old and new DS-160 confirmation pages, explaining the situation to the officer? OR ✅ Is it better to wait until after the November 20 interview date passes, then contact support to reschedule a new date and link the new DS-160 instead (without paying a new fee)? I’ll appreciate any insights from those who’ve faced a similar DS-160 timing issue. Thank you! 🙏 |
Greetings to the experts on U.S. visas! I would appreciate some advice. I am a first-time applicant and looking to visit the US next year for vacation and to attend the FIFA World Cup. I have a decent travel history to Europe and Asia, with a stable job and a good salary, and strong family ties. I have no intention to remain in the US after my visit. I would appreciate advice on how best to prepare for my interview and prove my intentions to return. What kind of documents should I go with? Do I need to provide booked tickets, return flight booking, and hotel reservations? Thank you for your time and response. |
Thank you for your candid advice and honest feedback! I plan to submit another application with a well-written cover letter that addresses their concerns and provides additional proof. And, if that doesn't fly, I will consider filing an official complaint. Can you please provide a guide on how to file a complaint? Thank you! BruceXavier: |
Thank you for your honest feedback; it's much appreciated. I do acknowledge my mistake of using a bank statement with a low opening balance. I initially assumed that my closing balance would be considered sufficient proof of funds for my 10-day trip to the UK, given my regular monthly salary payments over the last six months. Now I understand better. However, this was just my salary account statement provided, and not my business account. I am the ceo of the business, and I pay myself a salary from the business account. My salary was not always N5M+ from 2016 till now. It increased with time as the company grew. Last time I applied for the UK visa in 2022, my salary was just N1M+ I provided sufficient evidence of my business, including pictures of me with my staff and office, as well as pictures of my family, landed properties, and tenancy agreement to establish strong home and economic ties. I had no intention to overstay, I was going for a vacation and to visit my elder brother in the UK, who is a British citizen. I visited Dubai in 2021, Singapore in 2022, France in 2024, and Qatar this year, 2025. All the reasons for my previous UK refusals were due to mistakes in how I presented my account statement, which i have always tried to fix in the next application but still end up with another mistake. My question now is, how do I submit an official complaint on my visa application if submitting another application may likely not fly? Thanks for your time and feedback! giselle237: |
I do have a good travel history. I got a Schengen visa through France and I have been to Qatar, Singapore, and Dubai. Cashmadam: |
Greetings Experts!! I would appreciate your honest advice on the next steps to take after receiving my third UK refusal. I have attached the reasons of my refusal this time around. I would like to know if I can reapply immediately and explain the reason for the low opening balance which was due to the fact I just paid my rent and child's school fees? and also now submit my recent 6 months statement with a higher opening balance of N5M and closing balance of N13M in my salary account. I do have a well established business and pay myself regularly every month. I was rejected in 2019, 2022 and just recently. This will be my 4th UK visit application and I would like to make it perfect this time to address their concerns with my account statement. Thanks for your time!

Is this a 2 years visit visa? sandyd: |
giselle237:Thanks for your feedback. I have actually been to Singapore, and Dubai for visit after my UK visa rejection. However, I am not sure they will consider these destinations as a solid travel history. I am re applying again for a UK visit visa because my brother is inviting me for his graduation in September. This is a once in a lifetime event, and it means me missing out if i start building a salary statement of account before applying again. I have a daughter in Nigeria but not married, and properties in my name to establish home ties. My major concern is knowing if an invoice for my clients can verify source of funds in my personal account. Thank you! |
Hello there, I need advice from the UK visa experts out there. I am applying for my 3rd UK visit visa after getting rejected twice in 2019 and 2022. My first and second rejections are due to proof of funds. Although I usually have more than enough balance to cover my trip expenses, but they require me to explain my sources of funds. This is because I am self-employed, offering digital marketing services, and use my account in my name to receive client payments, as I have not been paying myself salary monthly. What are my chances of getting approved the third time if I provide my account with payments from clients as a source of my income and then provide an invoice as supporting documents to explain my income from my clients? Thanks for your advice. |
yeah you are very right, i am also a blogger and i know how much effort, money and time it took me to keep my blog going, my passion for publishing relevant content to solve problems has held me on.... i can post just one topic a month and i make sure its valuable and helpful. and take note build a list while blogging that is where the money is...i laugh when i see bloggers creating a news gossip blog site and splashing adverts everywhere hoping to make millions overnight. |
Good! !!How much do you normally pay monthly or yearly for your VPN and from which site? Can a VPN be used to operate two PayPal accounts as I heard that it is not good to have only one PayPal account if you want to be using PayPal frequently.
well i pay monthly for my vpn, its not compulsory to pay monthly except you have a transaction to make, if i am expecting cash into my paypal account i check my email to confirm if i have received and connect my vpn when i want to withdraw or make payment. well, there are so many good vpn providers now bt i work with vpnseek n worldvpn for now. and never try using one vpn to access two paypal account if not expect a limitation very soon. its one vpn to one account. i subscribed to your paypal newsletter check your inbox i sent you a mail. i also have a solution for paypal in nigeria at www.miskoblog.com/unlockpaypal.htm |
yeah for sure, a dedicated VPN is needed, thats not a new thing but its not just about opening and verifying, its about keeping your account safe from limitation. |
well na paypal wahala be that, as for me i v a guaranteed way of running a paypal account in nigeria!!!! i have even helped so many open and run a paypal account. |
so you supporting the fact that paypal should ban nigeria from their list? scammers are also in the us too. |
PayPal should come to realise that most Nigerians do legitimate biz online. |
@frank.odey am glad you see reason with my points, a blog is a very useful tool when it comes to selling info products. if i am a customer i will feel free to buy a product from someone who provided useful content on his blog because i believe he will over deliver on his products. when i mean blog i dont mean you should use free blog platforms like and likes, go for a professional blog platform like wordpress with your own domain name and hosting. if you combine blogging with facebook fanpage you will see a significant rise in your account with info marketing. Regards Morrison M. |
If i were you i would educate myself on info marketing, starting creating products and do full page ad on newspapers |
Hello I would like to know if paypal has decided to start accepting Nigerians? Regards |
Hello I really like what i am seeing here on this thread and the contributions you all are making i am also am Info marketer, i have been in the make money online niche for over 5 years and i know what works and dont work. Regarding info marketing, its a billion dollar business as the internet is all about info and millions of info products are sold on a daily basis online. every rich or wealthy man today is one way or the other an info maketer. There is this general law of success to become a millionaire, find problems to millions of people find a solution to the problems and sell the solution to them. in that process you are helping humanity by solving problems and making yourself rich. when it comes to niches, there are 3 major niches: wealth, health, relationship. millions of people have problems in these niches. and as far as millions still crave for solutions within these niches there is still money to be made. There is something i will like to add never be scared of competition because the make money online niche is choked or over crowded doesnt mean you cant succeed in it. The reason the niche is filled with competitors is because there is money in the niche. who says you can beat the competition? its left on you belief anyway. If you really want to build an online empire that will continously making you millions. choose a big niche like the wealth, health, or relationship niche. follow the niche you have more passion for. as for me i love the make money online niche. the reason am telling you to go with a big niche is so you can always have products to sell to your customer base. it doesnt make sense to build a business on a niche that you run out of ideas when you sell one or two products and you start searching for another profitable niche to sell another one or two products. like in the make money online niche which is also the internet marketing niche there is always going to be products to create on desperate markets, you can never run out of ideas. The market is a big market to make the millions if you know what you are doing. The key point is dont approach your customers as a sales man when advertising, always pose as someone that wants to render help by providing valuable free reports that works as an incentive to get on your list. dont think about the money you will make at first focus on building relationship with your list by offering valuable free info or resources that might even be what cost you money. when your customers in your list see that credibility in you they will jump on any of your offers without thinking. A blog helps you build a strong relationship with your list they perceive you as an expert if you post valuable tips on your blog and they will run to you as the goto guy when they have problems. Dont forget to have a fanpage as this is the best way to socialize with your customers and make them trust you. Information marketing is all about building trust with your customers if not you will crash whether there is competition or not. The key focus is building your list, there are millions of people who need money in nigeria let us not be deceived. Make Money Online is a big niche under wealth. i will stop here for now. Regards |
