I know the family of Diezani Madueke somewhat on a personal level, her son and my teenage cousins are class pals, they attend the same private school in the UK.

I'm not sure how many people are aware of this, but her supposed power and immunity stems from the close family ties she has with Patience Jonathan, they're inlaws.

I'm careful of the details here as I don't know who might be reading... However, I can authoritatively say this woman has to be one of the richest women on Africa, if Nigerians could catch the slightest glimpse of the affluent lifestyle enjoyed by this woman & her family, you'd weep for that country.

Would you mind investing as a venture capitalist for a ong tech company starting out in Nigeria?

Hello I'm new on this forum and I've admired so many things here which warranted my joining . One them being getting help.

So, my younger brother is a football addict, I mean to the core... which isn't bad shaaa. But he started getting on my nerves when he started trying to transfer it to my mum.
He's always betting football games and quote me 'he gets his fortune almost every time' .Hardly does he lose a prediction.
Now I overheard him discussing his fortunes with my mum and she seems interested..... I chipped in and started countering his points proving to him that betting is gambling and dirty and that he's allowed to go on with it since he doesn't want to get some piece if advice from me, but what I won't have is he introducing my mum into it.

Well I tried but I wasn't good enough to backup my claims .... I just know within me that my spirit hates that thing ... I just don't know why.

Imagine my shock when I came back from school yesterday to find out my brother has placed a bet of 9wins for my mum. Yesterday night two of the games clicked in positively remaining 5. And the money involved is big enough (don't want to mention amount) .

Supposing she wins the remaining 5, I fear this will never stop.
Please someone help me out , I'm scared seriously..... if I can just talk her out of this I'll be glad.

I NEED URGENT HELP FROM NAIRALANDERS PLEEEASEEE

This I know.....
I watched Professor Osinbajo's reality show he did recently in which he had celebrities come over to his house. There I think Osinbajo hinted about how sports will be administered in Nigeria if Apc is elected.

Prof Osinbajo made an example, he asked his guests, how they would feel if the Nigerian music scene/Nollywood is controlled by the government. Government deciding which movies get funded and which artist rocks the airwaves.


Currently government interfere too much in sports. Government decides who coaches the National team, who plays number 10 etc

They even decide which sport gets people's attention. Football gets a disproportionate attention and funding from government.


I expect all these to change and the private sector to come in.

A group of U.S. senators has written to football's world governing body FIFA, calling for Russia to be removed as host of the 2018 World Cup because of its role in the Ukraine crisis and occupation of Crimea.
In a letter dated Tuesday and released on Wednesday, the 13 Democratic and Republican U.S. lawmakers said they 'strongly encourage' FIFA to move the global competition.
'Allowing Russia to host the World Cup inappropriately bolsters the prestige of the (Russian President Vladimir) Putin regime at a time when it should be condemned and provides economic relief at a time when much of the international community is imposing economic sanctions,' the senators wrote to FIFA President Sepp Blatter.
