Tanzanian tourist earnings figures are normally both direct and indirect earnings while Kenya's are only direct earnings. This makes Tanzanians think they are making more from tourism than Kenya. Don't get fooled.

Micro management seems good when happening but people realize they were fvcked afterwards. I hope you are old enough to remember the Moi era. People loved him while he ruled. People used to sing him songs. Politicians who criticized him were stoned by the citizens. It is only years later that we realize he fvcked us big time. Without him, Kenya would be on the same level as Algeria. Tanzania is exactly where Kenya was during the Moi era - probably worse. At least during the Moi era we did several street demonstrations against the president and even attempted a coupe.
