Joesno: It's like I don finally enter this shipping wahala. This item was placed almost a month now.. And it's been stuck on custom clearance since on the 4th as attached, 12 days now. Pls what's going on? None of my items has stayed with customs for more than 3 days. It's even past the scheduled delivery date.
I can't even get the tracking on NIPOST, I guess it has to be cleared in custom first.
Pls who do I have to contact to know why it's taking this much time? And how pls? Thanks! Me sef dey wait since 12th... Usually my items never stay pass 3 days for clearance ☹️☹️

rollout40: How many days after installation was it activated? Mine has been 4 days and it hasn't been activated. I've really been disappointed with them, took over one month after payment to install, now 4 days no service yet. The guy that installed mine told me it would be activated in 24 hours ... One hour later I was activated 🫱🏻🫲🏼 4 days is too much... contact their customer service about the activation.. or call the agent that did the installation, he may have forgotten to give MTN feedback. |

Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by nani667: 7:52am On Aug 11, 2025 |
Xiaomi has officially discontinued bootloader unlocking for older devices, effective August 5, 2025, after decommissioning its old unlocking servers. This change affects a large portion of the Xiaomi portfolio, including the original Mi Mix, all Snapdragon 600 series models, fourth-generation and earlier tablets, the Max series, and smartphones prior to the Redmi Note. The Redmi 6 series and earlier models are also affected. In short, if your device never received HyperOS support, bootloader unlocking is no longer an option.
Affected Device Categories The server shutdown affects a wide range of older Xiaomi devices. Support for bootloader unlocking has now ended for the first-generation Mi Mix models, all devices with Snapdragon 600 or earlier chips, fourth-generation and earlier tablets, and the entire Max lineup. Users with devices prior to the Redmi Note series are also affected by these restrictions. |

The best way to know if your location is live, and I have mentioned this before, is to fill out the FibreX form on their website .. I would have posted a link to the form here but I am sure nairaland spam bot will not allow me.
Click on 'Get FibreX' and fill out the form.
You will be contacted

Bukola94: It is very affordable, I will get it for my desk top computer and smart TV later this year. How many devices can it connect at the same time? I remember seeing on their website that it should be able to take upto 60 devices. Although if you will be connecting a lot of devices you will need to subscribe to a faster plan. If it is just a few devices then the 50Mbps plan for 25K is more than okay. I have my smart TV, two PCs, and about five smartphones connected. And I haven't had any issues. The 50Mbps, which is about 7MBps, has been casually carrying the devices without issues. |

HeavenlyBang: Damn, Huawei typically makes pretty good network hardware.
Either way, at least mine isn't some ZLT crap. Yup.. router looks very solid, I am surprised the router isn't Wi-Fi 6 capable tho, their 5G broadband that I also use has Wi-Fi 6 capabilities, so I expected to get the same Wi-Fi 6 on this FibreX router. Doesn't really affect anything, solid experience so far. |

akinremedy: it is capped at 1TB but let's be sincere with ourselves, paying 30k for 1 TB for a month is a fair deal. Let's learn to be appreciative of little things. What has mtn or even indigenous Glo done that is close to Airtel's? With our backdoor 15k unlimited monthly for Airtel, tell me any better deal than that MTN actually offers true unlimited with their FibreX plans. For 25K you get the 50Mbps plan, free installation. Blazing speeds and no data cap till expiry 🫱🏻🫲🏼 And even on their broadband unlimited plans they actually state it clearly that it is capped, and you receive a certain amount of data daily after exhausting the data. At least MTN is transparent in that regard |

Simplecity: I have so many questions
*Was the installation free??
*Where did they connect the wire from the pole to in your house cause from the look of the router, its not connected to it.
*Has there been any "down time" or during your usage?.(by down time i mean no network for browsing)
*Are you a heavy data user?
*Could you drop a break down of the amount spent from the inquiry process to the finalized installation
I go really appreciate boss The installation is free.. you just pay for subscription, and an agent contacts you for installation. The router is connected to the cable. The connection runs from a pole outside the house straight to the router. Personally I have been subscribed and connected for about two weeks now, haven't experienced any downtime so far, neither have I experienced any issue with speed. I have been having constant 50+ Mbps that I subscribed to without issues. Even when network is sluggish on my MTN SIM on my phone the FibreX has always been constantly blazing 🔥 I would consider myself a heavy data user, and yes, the FibreX is truly Unlimited. There is really no money that you are required to spend during inquiry or even installation. To find out if your area is Fibre ready, just go to the MTN website and enquire, although some recent locations they are yet to even update on their website. For my case even the customer service agent I spoke with online did not even know that the Fibre was already live in my estate. It was after I filled out the Fibre form on my website a fibre agent reached out to me via email and told me my area was live. So I just made payment for the 50Mbps plan, and like two days later I received a phone call, an agent came around and installed it for free. But as for enquiry, no money is involved, my advice to you is go to their website and just fill out the FibreX form, that is all you need to do. If your area is live you will be contacted, then you can go ahead and make payment. The only amount you will be required to pay is just subscription charge, everything else is free.

dustmalik: If you live in Abuja, MTN only has one head office, which is the one in Maitama, it's the only MTN owned office in Abuja. Go there, seek an audience with the broadband team. My own case they came to us some months ago requesting permission to run the Fibre in our estate .. and in a few months it was live 🫱🏻🫲🏼 |
