Disclaimer: Anthony Ehilebo is Not Head of PDP New Media - PDP

The attention of the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been drawn to the misrepresenting designation of one Party member, Mr. Anthony Ehilebo, as the Head of New Media of the PDP in some section of the media and political gatherings.

The PDP states in clear terms that Mr. Anthony Ehilebo, is not Head of the PDP New or Social Media and the position is non-existent in the managerial structure of our Party. For the record, Mr. Anthony Ehilebo does not hold any official position at any level of our Party’s administration. Consequently, he cannot speak for or represent the PDP as Head of New or Social Media or in any other official capacity on any matter.

For emphasis, the PDP is a Party of rules, its officials (elected and appointed/employed) are known and the approved/certified channels of public communication are well defined in our Party’s Constitution and Establishment Manual.

To this end, the Media, PDP stakeholders and the general public should please take note.

Lagos to Prosecute False Caller of Fire Officer on Prank Call

The @followlasg is set to arraign Uzuokwu Solomon, 18, for offences relating to making hoax calls for emergency responder which is punishable under the Lagos State Fire service law& Command & control Centre law 2013.

The culprit who is alleged to have called the emergency line of the Fire Service on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 17:35 hours from Harmony Estate, Langbasa, Ajah, Lagos and reported a Fire emergency within the estate leading to the activation of emergency processes and eventual dispatch of the fire trucks from Lekki Phase II Fire service station. On arrival it was discovered that there was no fire incident. Because of the frequency of such calls in the past, the Estate security helped in the investigation which led to arrest of the false caller.

Consequently, the culprit who had been arrested is scheduled to be arraigned before a court of competent jurisdiction at Ogba Magistrate on the 19th of April, 2023 by 9.00am.

Speaking with Journalists, The Director Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Mrs Margaret Adeseye expressed her delight in the arrest of the culprit while reiterating the stand of the State government on malicious false calls which is punishable under the Lagos State laws.

She believes that the arrest and consequent arraignment will serve as deterrent for other misguided citizens who are in the habit of making false calls and misleading emergency responders.

It is instructive to inform the general public that false calls have astronomically increased in the last six months.
