I said that Peter Obi did not say that Bola Tinubu did not win the election, instead he said that Bola Tinubu and Atiku should be disqualified. I said that he would have had to provide evidence that he got more votes than Tinubu if he had made that claim, but he didn't have polling agents in many of the polling stations.
Ojuntana said that I lied and he posted screenshots to back his claim. Not one of the screenshots he posted contained any claim that Peter Obi won the election and Bola Tinubu lost. Not one contained any claim that Obi had more votes than Tinubu.
I don't really consider these people to he serious people, that's why I blocked him and all his other accounts. I need to thank him for letting me know that 3 weeks are up, so that I can block him again.
Comprehension is not that difficult and I believe that he just wants to waste my time like he used to do before I blocked him.
There have often been very funny comments by people who don't know about situation rooms.
There was a picture of Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola in the APC situation room and some funny people claimed that Fashola was the person that was uploading results for INEC.
naptu2: February 28th (the first picture below was attached to this post).
naptu2 post=121334965: If anybody ever asks you what ma dness is, all you need to do is show the person this tweet and he will have a clear idea of what ma dness is.
Dear diary, I have previously told you about the role of party agents and situation rooms. Serious political parties have agents at every polling unit in the country. The agent is given a copy of the result at that polling unit. These agents send their results to their party's situation room and the party uses these results to determine how well it has done. Anybody that knows anything about politics knows this.
It's not only political parties that have situation rooms. Media houses, NGOs, observer groups, etc have similar arrangements (just like this! This is what Fashola was looking at https://elections.civichive.org/ ).
In fact, INEC has its IREV!
Yet some m ad people are claiming that this picture shows that Babatunde Fashola was the one that uploaded results to INEC's servers. Isn't that the definition of ma dness?
I think this is the lu natic that Simon Ekpa was responding to last week.
They've forced Civic Hive to release a statement. You won't believe the kind of conspiracy stories that ma d people have been circulating in the past 24 hours.
Civic Hive was created by BudgIT. You know who founded BudgIT, right and you know that he has been anti-APC for a long time, right?
Yet ma d people said that:
1) Babatunde Fashola got into the INEC servers through Civic Hive and he is uploading results to the servers.
2) Civic Hive hired Indians to hack INEC servers and they are manipulating the results.
3) APC hired Civic Hive to manipulate the results in conjunction with INEC.
Can you imagine how much ma dness there is in Nigeria??
August 6th. M ad people resurrected this lie when they claimed that Fashola was writing the judgement for the election petition tribunal. The last picture was attached to all the posts.
naptu2: Mr Fashola at the APC situation room during the last elections. Mad people claim that he was personally uploading results to INEC portal.
Former Governor Obaseki set up a situation room for the last Edo governorship election and someone claimed that he had set up a "high calibre device" to interfere with the election.
I have often explained what situation rooms are, so there's no need to explain it here again.
Sometimes, during elections, I create threads with pictures of the situation rooms of the various parties. That's not possible now because of Nairaland's picture restrictions.
Situation rooms have often led to very funny posts in years past. There was the time that a picture of Mr Babatunde Fashola in the APC situation room went viral and PDP members claimed that he hacked INEC's servers and was viewing the results (they didn't know what a situation room was). The same picture went viral 4 years later and this time Labour Party members claimed that he hacked INEC's servers.
Anyway, today I have seen the APC situation room in Benin.
Some PDP members are lamenting that PDP does not have a situation room, but I know that that's not exactly true. A PDP member stated that Governor Obaseki personally set up a situation room 4 years ago and that also true for today. Governor Obaseki has personally set up a situation room for the PDP candidate and that's the source of our mirth.
An APC supporter tweeted this:
Harmless Damian4️⃣7️⃣ @Harmless47
Obaseki sets up High calibre device in government house Benin to interfer with the INEC BVAS machines in Oredo,Egor and Ikpoba-Okha LGAs
The device is been hidden under the cover of the Asue/Ogie situation room stationed in the new Festival Hall of Government House Benin.
Isn't that funny? He also attached a picture of the PDP situation room to his tweet.
APC and PDP members are mocking the Labour Party and claiming that it does not have a situation room and it never has a situation room, but is members always cry about rigging. I don't know if they are right. I have searched for photos of the Labour Party situation room, but all I have seen is a Twitter Spaces labelled "LP Situation Room".
The defending champions, Ghana, have fallen to their fiercest rivals Nigeria in a thrilling WAFU Zone B Girls U20 Cup encounter. Goals from Siemeyeha Janet (2) and Favour Chiamaka sealed victory for the Falconets, while Sarah Nyarko got the consolation for the Black Princesses.
A tough result, but plenty of lessons and pride for the champions. 💛❤️💚🖤
This is a small section of my Money Election post (it was about the things that you need to spend mony on when contesting an election).
So you need to have your party agents at these collation centers in addition to the polling centers. Nowadays, with the advent of information communication technology, particularly the Internet and mobile phones, political parties and candidates also set up situation rooms where they'll receive reports from their agents in the field in real time. They also have analysts in these situation rooms who can analyse the data that's gotten from the agents and advise the candidate accordingly.
The staff at the situation rooms during a governorship election are usually from out of state. This because they need to monitor the situation right from the release of sensitive materials in the early hours of election day until the final result is released and this means that they need to be at the situation room for two or three days straight. Meanwhile the candidate needs every vote that he can get, so he wouldn't want potential voters locked up in the situation room.
I have made many posts (over many years) about situation rooms. A huge chunk of my Money Election post was about situation rooms, volunteers and polling agents.
I learnt about these things in 1970s and '80s Hollywood movies and I got the opportunity to see them in action in a 1991 election in Nigeria.
Yet, ahead of the 2023 elections, Obidients insulted and made fun of anybody that advised them to have these things. They said that, "The people are the polling agents" and "The people are the situation room". I could not believe that people could be so ignorant.
That's why Peter Obi did not claim that Bola Tinubu did not win the election. His election petition was on the basis that Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar should be disqualified from the election, he didn't say that Tinubu did not win.
If he had said that Tinubu did not win, then he would have had to prove it and how could he prove it when he did not have polling agents in many of the polling stations??
But they have learnt. They now have situation rooms.
Ladies and gentlemen, over the years I have posted photos and videos of the situation rooms of the APC, PDP and other parties and now I can show you the situation room of the Obidient Movement for the 2025 Anambra State governorship election.

Some people believe that WAFU is too big and powerful (there are many football power houses in West Africa), so the union has been divided into Zone A and Zone B. Nigeria is in Zone B.
Mali and Burkina Faso withdrew from the tournament and so there are only 3 teams left, Nigeria, Ghana and Benin and the organisers had to change the format of the competition.
The giant striker, Janet Seimeyeha Akekoromowei, was the player of the match. She played for Asisat Oshoala Academy, Nasarawa Amazons and she also played for Bayelsa Queens in the 2025 CAF Champions League qualifiers. She was the MVP of the 2025 Nigeria Women's Football League (NWFL) Premiership Super Six
She represented Nigeria at the 2022 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Colombia and she also played for the U-17 national team in 2022.

Woman of the Match Update 🌟🇳🇬
A superb performance from Nigeria’s Siemeyeha Janet, who scored twice to power the Falconets to victory! She has been deservedly named Woman of the Match after an outstanding display in Adjohoun. 👏⚽️🔥
