Today, at the vibrant Kafanchan Township Stadium, I had the honour of welcoming a remarkable wave of distinguished leaders and citizens from Southern Kaduna who have freely chosen to join the All Progressives Congress (APC). Their decision fills me with great pride and optimism, as it reflects a growing trust in the APC’s enduring values of justice, inclusiveness, accountability, and progress.

From the onset, our administration has been deliberate in promoting inclusiveness through strategic investments in infrastructure, agriculture, education, healthcare, and community development. We have ensured that progress reaches every corner irrespective of ethnic, religious, or political affiliation. Peace and development are inseparable twins, and I am grateful to the people of Southern Kaduna for embracing the Kaduna Peace Model. Today, I am proud to say that no single elected official from Southern Kaduna is in the opposition, both at state and federal levels; a powerful testament to our shared unity, inclusivity, and the even spread of development across our state.

I warmly welcome Senator Sunday Marshal Katung, alongside all members of the House of Representatives and the Kaduna State House of Assembly from Southern Kaduna who have collectively joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the PDP. In our great party, there are no old or new members; only compatriots united by purpose, service, and a shared vision for a peaceful, prosperous, and united Kaduna State.

Audu Maikori is the founder of Chocolate City Records. The record company has had famous Nigerian artistes like M.I. Abaga, Ice Prince Zamani, Jesse Jagz, Ckay, Nosa and the Kenyan Victoria Kimani on its roster.

He is a lawyer and he is from Southern Kaduna.

Audu Maikori was a supporter of President Goodluck Jonathan and the PDP and he had many clashes with the El-Rufai administration in Kaduna over the violence in Southern Kaduna. He was in Lagos, but he was arrested by policemen from Kaduna.

LAGOS POLICE ARREST SERIAL COMMERCIAL TAXI DRIVER FEATURED IN VIRAL POSTS FOR MULTIPLE RAPE AND ASSAULT CASES ON SERIAL VICTIMS IN THE STATE

Crack detectives and smart operatives of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Lagos State Police Command, have arrested one Adedayo Ben Adegbola, male, identified by some of the victims as the driver whose picture appeared in viral online posts, in connection with multiple cases of rape, defilement, assault occasioning harms,indecent assault, and multiple armed robberies on female passengers in some parts of the State.

(2) Subsequent to the strict directives from the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP OLOHUNDARE JIMOH, the crack detectives and smart operatives of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) commenced a detailed and discreet investigation into the complaint from victims of the dastardly acts of the suspect. The painstaking investigation by the Police Joint Investigation teams resulted in the arrest of this vicious and very notorious suspect on 31st October, 2025 at about 0940 hrs.

The operational vehicle being used by the suspect, a red colour Toyota Corolla vehicle with registration number JJJ 226 HT, in committing the crimes and offences was recovered from his possession.

(3) The suspect is currently in Police detention. Investigation is being intensified to arrest other suspects who are suspected to have been involved in the commission of the crimes. The recovered vehicle has been secured as an exhibit and will be used in the prosecution of the suspect. The Command urges any of the victims of this vicious and notorious suspect to report to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, to provide relevant information and evidence to help the investigation. Their identities will be properly protected.

(4) The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, reassures the public of the Command’s firm commitment to protecting all residents, ensuring justice for survivors, and maintaining the security of Lagos State. He further noted that updates on the investigation will be provided in due course.
