If you follow the old system that we had in Nigeria, this can serve as a training ground if Port-Harcourt hosts an international football event (the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium will be the main stadium).

PRESIDENT TINUBU HAILS SENATOR KWANKWASO ON BIRTHDAY
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT congratulates Senator Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso, influential politician and former governor of Kano State, on his birthday on October 21, 2025.
He rejoices with Kwankwaso's family, friends and political associates as they mark this special day.
The President acknowledges Kwankwaso's invaluable services to the country in the various leadership positions he has held.
As former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives in the aborted Third Republic, governor of Kano State for two terms, Minister of Defence and Senator representing Kano Central Senatorial District, Kwankwaso has made his mark and contributed greatly to national development.
President Tinubu affirms that the Senator's growing influence in the North, particularly in Kano State, highlights his pro-people politics, reminiscent of the politics of late Mallam Aminu Kano and late Alhaji Abubakar Rimi.
"Senator Kwankwaso @KwankwasoRM remains a friend and ally with whom I served in the National Assembly in 1992 and later as governors in 1999.
"We also worked together in founding the All Progressives Congress. Although he later left the @OfficialAPCNg to establish the New Nigeria Peoples Party, it is noteworthy that he remains within the progressive fold," President Tinubu remarked.
The President wishes him good health and many more years of impactful service to the nation.

A similar thing happened during the Edo State governorship elections in 2024. Some Obidients declared support for Asue Ighodalo, the PDP candidate and this led to a civil war within the movement.
Jack (Chimezie) is a key Obidient and member of Peter Obi's campaign council. He is referring to Ikenna Azomchine, an Obidient who declared support for Governor Chukwuma Soludo and created a group called Obidients for Soludo.
JACK The Builder @Jack_ng01
Somebody I singlehandedly stopped from being the South East cordinator of the movement is the same person coming to endorse Soludo? 🤣🤣
You no fit fight me and collect common cordinator na Obidients you fit mobilize for Gov Ojionu? 🤔

*Obidient Movement Slams False Soludo Endorsement, Reaffirms Support for George Moghalu*
Date: Tuesday, 21st October 2025 Awka, Nigeria
The Obidient Movement, a nationwide citizens’ platform dedicated to promoting good governance, transparency, and the vision of His Excellency Peter Obi for a new Nigeria, has categorically disowned reports claiming that the Movement has endorsed Prof. Chukwuma Soludo for a second term as Governor of Anambra State.
In an official statement signed by Dr. Yunusa Tanko, the National Coordinator, the Movement described the claim as fraudulent, unauthorized, and grossly misleading.
1. No Official Endorsement
The Obidient Movement states unequivocally that it has not authorized, endorsed, or supported any candidate other than Mr. George Moghalu, who was earlier endorsed by His Excellency Peter Obi for the upcoming Anambra gubernatorial election. Any statements or representations suggesting otherwise are false and should be disregarded by the public.
2. Independence from Political Parties
The Movement remains independent, guided solely by its mission to promote integrity, accountability, and people-centered leadership across Nigeria.
Its support for Peter Obi in the 2023 presidential election was based on his proven track record and commitment to national transformation. Therefore, any individual or faction claiming to endorse other candidates does so in a personal capacity and not on behalf of the Obidient Movement.
3. Unauthorized Use of the Obidient Identity
The Movement strongly condemns the misuse of its name, logo, or identity to advance personal or political interests.
Any assertion that the Obidient Movement has endorsed Governor Soludo or any other candidate outside its declared stance is a blatant misrepresentation.
The Obidient Movement does not participate in transactional politics or quid pro quo arrangements, and it firmly rejects any attempt to exploit its goodwill for selfish or partisan ends.
4. Future Political Engagements
The Movement remains resolutely focused on promoting competent and ethical leadership across Nigeria.
All future political decisions, including discussions on the 2027 presidential election, will be made collectively and communicated through official channels only.
Speculative narratives regarding the Movement’s political direction are therefore premature and baseless.
5. Call for Clarity and Accountability
The Obidient Movement calls on the media, general public, and political stakeholders to disregard any false claims linking it with the endorsement of Governor Soludo or any candidate other than Mr. George Moghalu. It reaffirms its commitment to building a Nigeria where leadership is anchored on competence, character, and the common good.
The Movement assures Nigerians that it will continue to engage constructively across all divides, upholding its core values of independence, integrity, and transparency.
