Bu the way, why are people assuming that this money is coming from the $100,000 that the government promised to give them and not from her previous funds? Do you know if they have gotten the $100,000 or if this is from what she already has?

It's over 600k and that's what she can afford. Female athletes don't earn as high as their male counterparts

Besides, it's not just about the money. Anybody that is selected will most likely be on her mind and that could lead to transfers, scholarships and recommendations in future. Many players' careers have been boosted by such recognition.

Many famous Nigerian players were helped by the efforts of former players, for example, Dr Sarah Ogoke was part of a training camp that Mfon Udoka set up in Florida and Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpannah was discovered at a basketball camp that was organised by Mobolaji Akiode in Abuja.

Super Eagles striker and Real Sociedad forward, Sadiq Umar, alongside current House of Representatives member (Kaduna North), Hon. Bello El-Rufai, have officially acquired Rancher Bees FC, the historic Kaduna-based football club.

The team is set to compete in the Nigeria National League (NNL) in the upcoming season. Rancher Bees FC is a traditional name in Nigerian football history, having produced several former internationals and enjoyed a rich legacy in the Kaduna football scene. Speaking on the acquisition, Sadiq Umar expressed his excitement about reviving the club’s glory days.

“I and my partner Hon. Bello El-Rufai want to return the club to its old glory days. Growing up, I watched Rancher Bees of Kaduna, a club that produced countless players. It’s a thing of pride and joy for us to be the bona fide owners of the club,” Sadiq said. The new owners have ambitious plans, with Rancher Bees FC fielding both an academy team and a professional side for the NNL campaign.

“Our target is to secure promotion to the NPFL. I’m elated by the feedback from Rancher Bees supporters and the people of Kaduna. We will bring back the old memories of the club and return the fans to the stadium,” Sadiq added. With the backing of the passionate Kaduna fanbase, the new era for Rancher Bees FC promises an exciting journey toward restoring its storied past.
