President Hugo Chavez's 2006 UNGA speech.

The Devil came here yesterday. Right here, yesterday. This table still smells of sulphur. The Devil came here yesterday, talking as if he owns the world.

This UN general assembly is the most useless convergence of world leaders. All they do is talk and talk from morning till night for days. I miss the days of Gaddafi.

The Presidency had previously announced (when President Tinubu was in China) that the president would go to London for a private visit and from there he would go to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, but he flew home from the UK to visit Maiduguri due to the flood that affected the city.

President Tinubu had addressed the UN General Assembly last year.

STATE HOUSE PRESS STATEMENT

VICE PRESIDENT SHETTIMA TO LEAD NIGERIA'S DELEGATION TO 79th UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY

President Bola Tinubu will not attend the 79th United Nations General Assembly session in New York this year.

The President has thus directed Vice President Kashim Shettima to lead Nigeria's delegation.

President Tinubu, who returned to the country last Sunday after his trip to China and the United Kingdom, wants to focus on domestic issues and address some of the country's challenges, especially after the recent devastating flooding.

At UNGA 79, Vice President Shettima will deliver Nigeria's national statement to the General Assembly, attend important sideline events, and hold bilateral meetings.

The high-level General Debate, with the theme "Leaving no one behind: Acting together for the advancement of peace, sustainable development and human dignity for present and future generations," will run from Tuesday, September 24, through Saturday, September 28, 2024.

Another favourite of NTA2 Channel 5.

Usually one of the two most successful members of the group (Michael and Jermaine) sings the lead, but Marlon sang the lead on this track. Jermaine had just rejoined the group (after 9 years as a solo artiste) before this album was recorded.

Michael and Jermaine were not in this video.

A hardship contract is an emergency contract extended to a player by a team that has less than 11 players available to play. This may be either due to injuries or illness, but the contract ensures that teams have the necessary amount of players available to carry out a game.

ATLANTA, GA (September 17, 2024) – The Atlanta Dream have signed guard Ezinne Kalu to a seven-day hardship contract, the organization announced today.

The 5'8" guard brings a wealth of international experience, most recently leading the 2024 Nigerian Olympic team past the group stage in Paris earlier this year. Kalu averaged 18.5 points per game in Paris, ranking her fourth in the category, behind only Emma Meesseman (BEL), A'ja Wilson (USA), and Satou Sabally (GER). Kalu's standout performance came against Australia, where she led D’Tigress to an upset win, scoring 19 points, with five assists, five rebounds, and three steals.

Originally from Newark, New Jersey, Kalu is no stranger to the state of Georgia, having attended Savannah State University, where she guided the Tigers to their first MEAC Championship in 2015. She also became the first player in school history to eclipse 2,000 career points.

Making of Champions @MakingOfChamps

Three GOLD🥇🥇🥇 medals for Gombe!!

Gombe state only registered one athlete for the National Youth Games, Munyal Kwairanga Simon, and what an outing she had for her state, winning three GOLD medals in Gymnastics🤸‍♀️

The 13-year old Munyal came out tops as the overall best, then won the Vault and also the Floor events.

Interestingly at the last edition, Munyal was denied her medals when she competed for Ogun state, after it was found out that they did not register her properly. This year, she represented Gombe, and is now leaving with three GOLD medals.
