Absolutely not,I have nothing to prove to you,Patience Jonathan barely graduated high school, and it shows.
if you know she barely graduated high school why compare her with your mum? and do you think it is easy for one to start learning certain things at old age? all i know is she is improving.

@ poster who told you its too cheap ? i cant believe i'm still on mtn gosh with the cheap call rates other networks are providing and whats mtn doing? 50k per sec. mtn = thieves they are just using this to bribe their angry customers including my honorable self. any way i've tried it and it rocks that why i'm still on it lol. i think they should have made it 5 numbers grin grin grin
PoliticsRe: Patience Jonathan Unable To Read Own Speech by Natasha2(f): 12:42am On Jan 29, 2011
@ poster. You can be ashamed if you like but do you think she finds it easy? do you think adult education is easy? for me i think she is improving you don't expect her to be perfect. fgs leave her alone. most of you who claim to know English so well even make grammatical blunders even those who call them selves graduates of English what more this woman?  is it her fault she can't speak English fluently? is it her fault she is the president's wife? is it her fault she is the first lady? is it her fault she has to make speeches?

HELL NO All i'm saying is the poster should stop generalizing WTF For heavens sake there are more than 50 million Nigerian women how can the poster be soooooooooooooo soooooooooooooo ignorant to use the word ''NIGERIAN'' meaning '' ALL '' AS IN, ALL NIGERIAN WOMEN it is really annoying cos i have a very flat tummy . I mean girls with protruding bellies are all over the world so why should he make it seem as if it is associated with Nigerians only.
do you mean liberal arts or fine arts?
I meant ARTS lol in Nigeria there's nothing like liberal arts if you are an art student it means you are a non science student and that's it. anyway fine art comes up on its own in the UNI i.e for someone who wants to be an artist (drawing , painting etc).

EducationRe: What Is Jamb Marking Scheme by Natasha2(f): 9:02pm On Jan 20, 2011
i don't really know but i know that English carries 150 marks 3 marks each for the Comprehension questions which are 15 so 45 marks in all, then 2 marks each for the Close passage question,10 questions in all and 20 marks total, Sentence Interpretation: ten questions 2 marks each 20 marks in all. Antonyms and Synonyms 15 questions each and i mark to each questions that is 30 marks in all.Sentence completion 20 questions 1 mark each finally oral forms 15 questions in all 1 mark each so all of these sum up to 150 for English i guess the rest carry 1 mark each. I hoped that helped.
I read on jamb site or so i think that ''it doesn't penalize for wrong answers so be wise and try to answer all questions'' undecided

I know Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English writing, Math, Foreign language are all mandatory and not dependent on what you plan to study in college be it in the art or science field. Electives could be music, mosaic, philosophy, Psych, etc. They may even be requirements in some schools. In Naija, you supposedly have to pick if you're going into Art or science in SS1 or thereabout. I don't think that prepares students for standardized tests.

Anyway, I'd like to know what classes the poster, Natasha took while in the Art department seeing as she claims it worked for her.
CHIOGO well i don't know about others but when i got into senior secondary school I offered twenty one subjects including Physics, Chemistry,Biology, Further math , Technical drawing,Geography, Health science, Food& nutrition and a host of others, so you see i also did sciences. Much later in ss2 i selected my 9 subjects.  this is done in other for one to have more focus on his area of study after all it is the maximum for Waec or Neco exam. The thing is as a science student why waste your time reading a subject like fine art when you haven't finished reading your chemistry and vise versa for the art student. choosing your subjects helps you create more time and focus on your area of study. Well at last these were the subject i ended up with: English, Math, Biology which i made a c5 lol, Government, Economics, History, C.R.K, Literature and Agriculture. The fact is an art student has more of reading work to do every one knows this that is why i'll still give 90% blame to an art student

angry
I'm I the first Nigerian to bear a name that is not of Nigerian Origin? Please spare me that detail. Nigerians bear Stephanie, Nancy, etc what have you done about it huh. Anyways i also have a native name, are you feeling better now?
FYI The name Natasha is of Russian Origin but so many girls who have no concern with Russia also bear the name so what's the fuss about?

The whole concept of art/science doesn't even make sense. Art coo, sculpture nee. They basically make you pick your career path in High school and you stick to specific classes huh Whatever happened to having a curriculum?
who told you it doesn't make sense?
tensor777:
Well that's true to some extent . But I think there are salient cultural issues there. This idea of wanting and getting things the easy way.
You are right though that these arts subjects do not really develop critical and logical thinking.
They are more about memorizing laid down facts and telling good stories.
it depends i.e some one who wants to study a course like law should be an intelligent thinker with a very good sense of reasoning and posses a good command of English

FamilyRe: How Does Nigerian Education Work? by Natasha2(f): 12:35am On Jan 18, 2011
it depends on when you started schooling, some people start schooling from an early age others don't as for me i started when i was 2 and i finished secondary school at 15 . most people finish at 16, 17. but the average is 16

@ POSTER You are wright i have asked myself this question a million times but i don't get the answer. It baffles me i mean someone despoils you and you are bitter about it, is it not normal that you report it in other for justice to prevail? bot no they will not do this. I guess its because of love you know they say love is blind sometimes it is stupid deaf and dumb, lol or maybe it is because of the emotional trauma i guess, you know like someone you love does this to you and you can't just believe it happened you can't believe he can ever do a thing like that i guess this is why they are silent.
