Onitsha people are highly cultural people and it may be a bit of an uphill task for you Melissa especially with the atrocities happening in the western world recently.u r from a very liberal society unlike him. However the consolation here however is that you are both catholic and onitsha has a strong catholic presence even recognised in the vatican.I think you should enlist the help of your parish priests both in canada and onitsha. They might be able to help. Good luck. |
Baffles me why women expend a lot of time and energy in being hostile to each other. At work,at home, even in the place of worship.there is always some sort of antagonism. Drives me up the wall. Any explanations? |
A thermodynamics professor wrote a take-home exam for his graduate students. It had one question: Is Hell Exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)? Support your answer with a proof. Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas cools off when it expands and heats up when it is compressed) or some variant. One student, however, wrote the following: First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So, we need to know the rate that souls are moving into Hell and the rate they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Some of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there are more then one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all people and all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand as souls are added. This gives two possibilities: #1) If Hell is expanding at a slower rate then the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose. #2) Of course, if Hell is expanding at a rate faster then the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over. So which is it? If we accept the postulate given to me by one Ms.Jennifer (not her real name) during my Freshman year, that "it'll be a cold night in Hell before I sleep with you," and take into account the fact that I still have not succeeded in having sexual relations with her, then #2 cannot be true, and so Hell is exothermic. The student got the only A. |
Gabriel came to the Lord and said, "I have to talk to you. I have some Nigerians up here in Heaven who are causing some problems. They are swinging on the Pearly Gates, my horn is missing, Maggi sauce and Ogbono soup are all over their robes, hamhocks, Isi-ewu, Cow-feet and Bokoto bones are all over the streets of Gold; some folk are walking around with one wing, they have been late taking their turn in keeping the stairway to heaven clean. There are beer bottles all over the clouds, some aren't even wearing their halos, saying it doesn't fit with their hairstyles. The Lord said, "I made them special, as I did you, my angel. Heaven is home to all my children. If you really want to know about problems, let's call the Devil. The Devil answered the phone, "Hello? What the....!, hold on one minute. The Devil returned to the phone and said, "Hello Lord, what can I do for you?" The Lord replied, "Tell me what kind of problems you are having down there." The Devil said, "Wait one minute," and put the Lord on hold. After 5 minutes he returned to the phone, and said "Okay, I'm back. What was the question?" The Lord said, "What kind of problems are you having down there?" The Devil said, "Man, I don't belieee.....hold on, Lord". This time the Devil was gone for 15 minutes. The Devil returned and said, "I'm sorry Lord, I can't talk right now. These Nigerians put the fire out,and now they are trying to install air conditioning! They even bribed my guys!!" |

This is a very good job you have done here demystifying the process of erecting a small bungalow and inspiring people to build. However I think you should also add that the cost varies from place to place because of several factors.e.g. I live in Ajah on the lekki peninsula in lagos. Land around here is not so unaffordable but u might spend about N1.5m alone on the foundation of this bungalow because you'd be building on marshy ground. Also a lot of damproofing is required.your materials generaly have to be moisture resistant. Also fencing the house is another expensive venture because of the soil. |
