With the above disclaimer, what you guys are doing is pure fraud.
How can you issue people a defective product?
A license plate is not a consumable. It is not supposed to wear out. It is supposed to last the life time of a car.
The old license plates that this new rubbish replaced never had these problems. Are we going backwards or forwards?
Instead of the MVAA to figure out why their license plates are wearing out faster than they should and fix the problem, they are busy issuing fines for "offences" of their own making.
My previous car had the same problem, well I went along and painted it carefully with a blue oil paint.
One road safety official stopped me and said my license plate was fake. He regretted making that assertion that day after the tongue lashing I gave him.
I've seen original plate numbers wear off after just two years. What rubbish.

Lets not forget that even the chemicals used in producing these liquid wash we use in washing vehicles right now are much harder than what was being used before.

I recall those days when i was much younger, my father wouldn't let his driver's wash his cars with any soap. He would insist that you use only water except for the tires. But this is different from what is obtainable today.

Have you also wondered why your car paints fade with time? If we could easily change our car paints when faded, why not our no plates as well when faded?

The guy stopped me on that day and checked my driving license, vehicle particulars, tires and safety safety items (fire extinguisher, caution signs).
When everything checked ok, he came up with the number plate issue. I was like, what is my fault in the fading of the plate; I did not scratch it nor have any accident with it. He wanted me to be begging him to let me go but i refused to beg for an offense i did not commit. Then he said he has to book me.
I have tried to contact FRSC through their social media handles. No response from their twitter handle but i got a response from Facebook and they said fading number plate is an offense. Imagine that.
Henceforth, any FRSC officer that stops me does so at his own risk. I have tried to be a good citizen but it seems that does not pay.

I advise that you continue being the good citizen you supposedly have been.

A certain man right behind my office driving and the VIO officials were stopping him but probably he had decided never to stop for those guys anymore for reasons best known to him. In the bead of running from them, he drove into a shop killing a man and his son on the spot. He himself became unconscious. He was talking away. The VIO'S in question ran away without a trace. Now what happened with that man am not aware of.

I advice we do it right always by complying with the law. Doing it right always should be our watchword.

Another experience, one of my clients no plate fell off. He called and inquired of what to do. I adviced him to get his no plate reprinted. He complained of not have enough money for that at the moment. He went ahead and printed a plastic replacement for it. Only for him to call me last weekend asking for help. He was booked to pay 20k by the VIO. After that, he will pay for dumorage.

I advice we always try to do the right thing.
Especially if you are a residence of Lagos state.

Hello house.
I got fined by a Federal Road Safety Commission official on Friday for "faded plate number".
He said my plate number is faded and I was supposed to go and pay to get another one.
Please note that i did not tamper with the plate number issued to me by the commission. The number plate just got faded like many others on the road.
I got a fine of N3,000.
My question is: Am i supposed to be punished for government's inefficiency in the production of quality number plates?

Well, very sorry about that experience you had.

Having been with MVAA for quite a while now, it's important we note that driving with faded no plate is an offence because it's meant to be clearly visible especially at night when faced with light ray.
In fact, it's important that your no plate is always visible whether at night or during the day.
Reason is that most times, security agencies may not need to stop you since they can verify your vehicles details with your no plates.

Even the machines mounted for verification of no plates, they won't be effective with a faded no plate.

About the quality of the no plates, I believe there isn't anything that is perfect. No matter how much of a quality you produce a product, it will still loose it's quality in time. So, if you are driving with a faded no plate, please visit any MVAA office for a reprint of your no plate to avoid any harassment from the security agencies.

Shine your eyes. Stop looking for short cuts. There is official way of doing this things. Although There are unofficial way too but they don't come out to advertise on a public forum such is Ilegal according to the law. Don't allow anyone scam you.

The process of obtaining your fresh driver's license right now takes as long as 2months before biometric capturing.

This is because the accredited driving schools available that issue the online driving school certificate needed to process the driver's license all has limited spaces on their portal.

Jobs are now on que before it's enrolled.

You can't even defend this and yet you still calling on people!!!

That wasn't true at all. Yes a lady called and while we were talking there was a bad network. I couldn't here here clearly and immediately she posted that so I just knew she was a hater. One who derives joy from talking down on others.

It has happened to me before where a colique out of envy deactivated all my accounts I built over the years since year 2012. That's why it didn't come as a surprise to me at all and I ignored it. But for the purpose of those who do not know me I write this.

I created a post to that effect but I guess the fellow has a lot of backbone that keep helping her to pull it down.
