Education / Environmental Management And Toxicology Thread by Natty111: 2:20pm On Nov 04, 2023
Hello guys.

Just came across this course, Environmental management and toxicology. So I would really appreciate If students or professionals can tell us more about the course. Must times they are under rated courses in Nigeria. So enlightening people on courses not well known would help jambite and students in choosing their career.

I would really appreciate your response.

Even if you have A1 in Geography at WAEC, it is not enough reason to say you want to study Geology.

Based on anecdotal evidence, Geology is a course with a significant amount of calculations related courses and even the bright ones end up with carryovers here and there.

Geology is not a bad course in itself, however, asides divine connection, you don't land a job in that sector just with a BSc. The more reason why you see a ton of BSc holders going back to get MScs, this is when you can begin to actually say you're onto something in the field.

This is Nigeria, count your teeth with your tongue. In essence, where do you see yourself realistically in 6 years and how do you intend to get there.

Nothing comes easy, Physiotherapy is a course where you can almost chart the direction of life after graduation. This is not to say it's better than Geology but at least you know where you'd be post-graduation. And as with Geology, studying Physiotherapy isn't a walk in the park.

I hope you are able to pick one or two things from this poorly arranged response.

Good luck.[ Thanks bro for your response. I'm also considering another course which is Environmental management and toxicology, do you know anything about it. Would appreciate your response, bro ]

Hello guys. Am an aspirant of geology. I don't know what university to pick in my jamb form cause most times I do hear of cases of sadist lecturer which is toxic. I would like you guys to share experiences on what is it like studying geology in Nigeria and what university would you recommend based on their knowledge, facilities, researches and students life.

Thanks I would really appreciate your response guys.

Bro no disrespect I respect your opinion but I can equally differentiate my strength from my weakness. I like physics and relatively good in the calculation part also I do explain and lead people on their difficulties in physics. I read and understand the practical applications of physics nothing like cramming here.

The problem I have with maths is just that I don't like it. Although it was my best subject in junior secondary school, when I got to sss classes I just didn't put much interest in it.

Wanted to study engineering courses but since I do see my self solving equations or mathematical stuffs, thinking of migrating to a better course where I can apply value.

I really appreciate your response guys. Nairaland is actually a great place sometimes. Talking about not liking maths and knowing physics is possible bro cause that's like my story. I would be expecting more response on this threads

Thanks guys[/quo[quote author=Fahvvy post=126523515]If you're a Nigerian, I can't advice you to so either undecided...

Most courses become irrelevant by the time you're done from school and chances of you using them to work is very slim undecided...

But don't take my word for it, do your research on courses that will still remain relevant till 2030 and see if either of those courses will pop up undecided...
