Let me drop my comment on this 2.2 Admission thing before i leave. While we should not make blatant/generic proclamations like "MSC Admission is impossible with 2.2", people should also know that it is extremely difficult to get funded masters admission without a solid 2.1 - especially in the sciences. I am in a graduate program in the Natural Sciences and i can confidently say most departments wont admit you into their MSC program if you have a sub 4.00 grade in Nigeria (There are lots of applicants from Asia and some of their own students for instant and everyone is entitled to a degree of funding which is huge anyways so it can get really competitive). A guy from Nigeria for instance is joining my lab this fall and he was the best graduating student from his school in his set i heard. Now aside the general picture of overall GPA, your last 4 semester GPA is also very important but they will first scan your admissibility by considering your overall GPA before looking at how good your last 2 years of undergrad study was. Having said that, you may also get good programs by having solid papers(Having some of them published in well respected journals wont hurt ask @Jengbetiele he was a hotcake around Canada cause of his published papers). Lastly, Admissibility depends on how competitive the program is, how much funding the department have, and if a supervisor lobbies for you. Universities like the UOtawwa hardly offer funding for some program so they accept a lot of 2.2 graduates into their programs(Especially law) so do not use them as the sole yardstick - GPA is very very important at least to get into a masters Program. 8 Likes 1 Share |

While the coup was poorly executed i think it is ignorant to say it was an igbo coup. Surely there were nothern soilders in the group led by Nzeogwu and in this video (see below) he admitted to them being in support of the mission, and the revolution being a planned attack with many other people being aware of it (majorly Igbo soilders for what its worth). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1mayOG3WsQ Cc Logicab & thegoodjoe 2 Likes 1 Share |

Nothing to see here, the sex appears to be consensual and the girl involved knew she was being recorded so not so big of a deal. |

Toluwaase: Oga, try and renew your passport. Keep in mind CIC wont issue u a visa past your passport expiry date. Someone on the last page(or two) gave an idea on the process you could use to have it renewed. Dont add going to Ottawa to your would-be busy schedule when you get here. The other part of your question i belive @Testimonies answered aptly. All the best! 1 Like |

We were level mates and he was bestfriends with my roomate. No way he is 21 though, my other friends knew him from secondary school and even they (whilst being younger than him then) are not younger than 24. |

obazii: Do you mind them. Nigerians have long lost the ability to think for themselves. I mean, these are two people with no blood connection for goodness sake. Btw, do most of you realize that we are all family on the face of the earth? Like offsprings of Adam and Eve? Why then do we get married and 'sleep' with each other? |

My respect for Elampiro and 190 really shot up reading their responses tonight. I feel again that we have people who can actually mediate and broker peace between two people longing to see the back of each other. Respect brotherz. @Babe3 Of a truth i dont know you, and had not noticed you on NL prior to this episode, however, i am sorry for all the names i have called you in my earlier posts, i understand your stance on the whole matter, and i hope you heal and move on with someone more understanding and appreciative of you. It is sad when someone plays on our naivety sometimes (i do believe you were consciously being naive just cause you loved him) and he played on that. Leave him for posterity to judge, accept the money he is willing to pay and never bring the issue up again, you dont want to be opening old wounds. May God bless your soul. @Coogar Gbenga, I'm sorry it came to this, like i told someone, i believe you didnt enter the relationship to 'scam' her, neither did you expect things to get this messy. I have known you for almost a decade on this website, aside your braggado online, there is a soft, undertanding side to you, i want to ask you to do as the wiseheads have said. Pay the girl, let her go and dont bring the ish up again. We can return to the sport/rap section and trade banter, but that is all it will ever be, some of us still believe in the good side to you and hope you will find yourself eventually. Let this end here and move on with your life. To the rest of us, lets learn from this, not all that glitters is gold, there's more to a person than what you see them post or say online. That is not to say we cant foster relationships here on NL, but before it gets that far, be sure of the person's identity. I wish you all a pleasant weekend. Bliss. 8 Likes |
