@Nolongting

An average igbo man does not sit around and expect to be spoon fed. You either create avenues for him to use his God given potential or all hell would broke loose and I am certain that applies to other people as well. The thing is that they have got guts and are not slaves to your white masters. You do not have the balls, let alone challenge your masters.

Oooh, now I know where your problem lies. You have a disease of self-loath. The women of other races you lust after and believe they are more presentable than your own sisters see you as a non-entity. They say that your brains are in your phennis, that is why you cannot compete or contribute to modern civilization. Go to their forums and see what they say about a Black man's ability, that is Black men like you who are full of self hate and think everything white is right even though their skin can be as irritating as anything. They only see and use you as a bed mate. They have not the slightest respect for you because you have no respect for yourself.

How can you hate the root of a tree? How can you hate your own mother and sisters? You make fun of your sisters and mother by imparting low-self esteem in them. You hate the root of a tree that breastfed you, fed you and nurtured you into adulthood. Now I see why you have been brainwashed and believe that nothing good and positive can come out from Africans and the black race at large. You are a disgrace to mama Africa.

You are suffering from a disease that has brain damaged you. You are never to be taken seriously by anyone because you have never taken the precious one who brought you into this world seriously. You are cursed. A waste of Space. You are a looser. Your ignorant and arrogant psychotic attitude will determine your fate.

Go continue suchking your white supremacist masters khock. A lost son you are.
Please brother what the Igbo things have to do with our topic? this behaviour is what we Africans have to fight against instead of blaming all the time

lol Cap28 brother I think if we want our brothers and sisters get our point we have to be objective: I wouldn't say KHADDAFI was a great man, because at the end of his life a lot of people were killed and massacred, but yes what I don't really like is the painted worst terrorist portrait of this man who I repeat, created AFRICAN BANKS! and talked about UNION where were our governements? Some people talk about arab people and so on, but Black people what have they done? which President in Africa works to UNITE AFRICA insted of gathering money for their families? Which country in Africa could have the living standard the average Lybian used to have, a part form SA?

Please my brother try see above superficial aspects, and recognize that we failed once again handle our issued in our own soil, until when? when we will understand that our destiny is between our hands and neither Europe or the US will help us?

Hello brothers, sorry I was away for some time but I've noticed a great consideration for this important issue in Africa: in that sense I think ONE NAIRA and CAP28 got what I would like to say about KHADDAFI, I repeat for those who haven't understand, KHADDAFI might not be the President of the last decade but sorry don't take "democracy" concept as an argument because as I told you democracy is relative accoding to countries, SARKOSY and France is regularly violating democracy by putting out those who don't have the same opinion as him, what about THE US who think they're GOD and World Police to interfere in foreign affairs?

Democracy is power to people, native people NOT foreigners who come here for some weird reasons, and no one has replied about the so called heavy weapon in Iraq, did you see what happened? Do you think Iraq is now more stable? I truly think Lybia will understand this, but a bit late
KHADDAFI allowed most of lybians to put food on table, to have home and so can you say the same things for the so called "non violent" African leaders? Come on

Sis,I am happy to see we share opinions. Am sickened by Gaddhafi's death. I hated him when I ws ignorant but I have learnt a lot since the revolution began.
The major obstacle I see in Africa is this ogre called 'tribe'. A lot of energy is spent fighting tribal wars than uniting a country and developing.
You tell me how Africa will ever achieve unity with this kind of mentality where tribes feel superior than others.
Our fights center around the minority vs the majority.We are doing a very good job dividing ourselves without outside influence.
They are only opportunists capitalising on that.

A dictator is someone who kills or silences or anyone who opposes him. A dictator is someone who rules without allowing the people to vote him in a free and fair election. A dictator is someone who rules the country without a term limit, or cheats and fixes the election to allow himself to rule without a term limit. Paul Biya and Qadaffi are both dictators. Paula Biya, in particular, has been ruling without allowing Cameroonians to vote in a free and fair election and fixes just about every election in Cameroon. He has been fixing elections and recently removed the term limit for the presidency, paving way for him to rule till he dies. He silences or kills anyone who opposes him. His consent is required before a judge can review the constitutionality of a law.

To the contrary, firing members of your cabinet who disagree with you, just as Sarkozy as done, does not make you a dictator. As a president, you are allowed to exercise your executive power to hire or fire members of your cabinet. At least Sarkozy did not kill people who protest against him, and has only been elected to office in 2007 and has yet to serve one term. How does that make him a dictator?

Nayah, you have said you have no problem with Biya ruling your country since 1982, and that you support the Qadaffi who ruled his country for 42 years and killed people who protested. Qadaffi was dropping bombs on his people, and you support him because he gives married people some money and he has good economic policies. That leads me to conclude that you support dictators as long as they, in your mind, they have good economic policies and give their citizens money.
First Prince you should re read my point about Biya because I think you're selecting word , I said "I'm fiercely againt Biya not because of the period of his rules, but about hsi results, below what Cameroonian people expected from him, BUT Cameroon has to be change by CAMEROONIANS not French, English or whatever!

Secondly you should read MEDDLER who summarized what I tried to tell from hours now

Meddler:
Well don't have the strength to get into this long debate but I'll summarize my points. Gadhaffi was a dictor no argument here. But he did a hell lot for his citizens. So they didn't have free speech, free dis and dat that the West are always criticizing other nations for. The point is that how many other African country can boast of a higher GDP in an African country a SWF of $90bn. Mehn, the citizens better buckle up. Its going to be a bumpy ride. P.S. Libya we welcum you with open hands to the African Syndrome
PERIOD!

The libyan uprising was never in isolation as so many of you will want us to believe. None of you was complaining when Gaddifi was using snippers with RPG to gone down peaceful protestants. None of you was complainig when he choose to hire foriegn mercenaries to slay innocent civilians.
None of you had any issues when he sent 2 fighter jet pilots to bomb innocent civilians.

Yeah! There was foriegn influence from the west & Nato, but can prove that the revolution was started by them? Was the hundred of thousand of peaceful protesters in the early days of revolution influenced by NATO?? Why haven't he allow them to protest? Why did he choose to use force on them??

He lost his legitimacy from the moment he started killing innocent civilians.

Dont try to justify evil by evil.
Just try to push your reason a bit far, and if you stop selecting my words, you would see that I said that KHADDAFI is not the best President and made mistakes on how he could make understand his point by his people, but please many Presidents are worst without being worried, and you and I know what's happened to country like Burkina Faso, Togo with Olympio or Anouar el Saddate that " the former friend of westerner" now defeated ( what a surprise!) replaced don't you think there's something to worry about? or to suspect?

So Nayah I was right from the beginning: you support dictators who will rule you for hundred years and take away your rights to protest; take away your right to freedom of speech; kill you in cold blood or drop a bomb on you if you protest against the dictator; take away your right to move freely from one place to another. All they need to do is give you money (maybe $100,000 when you marry), a bag of rice and beans to eat, and have "sound" economic policies. No wonder Cameroon cannot progress if people like you have that kind of mentality, saying being a dictator is OK.

No wonder Africa is slow. Dictatorship and totalitarian regime should be forbidden under all circumstances. No one single has a right to rule his people for 42 years or past a certain time. New people need to assume power so that new ideas can come.

You support dictatorship on the one hand but complain about Biya's policies on the other hand. If you don't support Biya's policies why can you not them vote him out? Answer: because people like you support dictatorship if the dictator has some so called sound economic policies.
It is the same thing that happened in Malawi. People like you supported Mutharika when it was clear he was becoming a dictator become he had good economic policies. Very useless. Now Mutharika is another Qadaffi in the making, killing anyone who dared to challenge him. But someone like you will support Mutharika if he provides for his people and gives them a bag of rice and shrimp, maybe some goat head.
Prince, don't interpretate  things to support your argument: I said and I repeat what is a DICTATOR for you?? Sarkosy do you think is a "democrate" I'm sure you'll talking about the fact that regular elections made make them a democracy, so let me tell you my dear that Sarkosy fired everyone who disagree with him, ask Rama Yade, Jean Louis Borloo ( ex Minister of work then created is own party) and others journalists fired because they have different ideology than him, is this what you call democracy? undecided

Let me tell you what's slow our mind in Africa: UNITY AND WEAK GOVERNEMENTS! and what I'm striking is that some brothers think that we need to folow "western democracy model", while our reality are completely different, to make them think they're moving on! We don't copy a system like that! we have to analyse if the society is ready for this model and in adquation with socio economical realities
Colonisation broke all our political system, Africans didn't ask anything before they came and impose what they think good, and these President who live abroad and forget about African realities and are Westerner's vassals, what's the worst, seriously?

My problem is AFRICAN UNION! and not all the so called foreign considerations, if we want to change AFRICA ONLY HAS TO CHANGE BY ITSELF

Prince, that's why I said you don't know me a bit, else you'll know I'm fiercley against Biya not because he has stayed too long, but because the results of his policy is not suitable to what my people  was expecting from him! Do you know what we call "die cites"? if you don't check on the Net, in the 90's Cameroonians have already protested against him

But I've always said that if Cameroonians want to change, ONLY CAMEROONIANS can do it, and if foreign people get involved in which I call, soil violation I'll be against them: History is repeating itself all the time in Africa and we're in 2011 as if we can't understad what's going on

They just recruited islamist and baptised them "revolutionaries" and my fellow Africans are gobbling the propoganda dished out by the CNN, BBC, FOX and co. Very very sad day for dear Africa. Obama has taken this continent back to colonialism. He seem to be secretely angry with black Africans and this "Gadaffi job" maybe the reason why he was recruited by his white masters. Why is it that obama never said a word about the racist killing of black people in Libya by his NTC thugs? People say that Gadaffi killed protesters but they forget that NATO and the NTC have killed in 7 months more people than Gadafii will ever kill in a lifetime. over 50k. With this NATO precedence, Africa is screwed. VERYYY SAD here.

Why did you move to France? Why don't you move to Libya, then? So because someone gives you money for scholarships gives him the right to rule you for 42 years while paving the way for one of his sons to takeover and rule for maybe another 42 years. What you say sounds like one of those ladies who supports and votes a dictator because she was giving a bag of rice.

Libyans did not have the following:

freedom of speech;
they could not challenge any ideas he had;
they were killed and slaughtered like meat by Qadaffi.

The money you said Qadaffi gave them belongs to Libyans, not Qadaffi, so stop making it sound as if they were giving a donation. And don't you think you would rather have a country where you can make your own money and create your destiny rather than waiting for some coward to give you money?

Nayah, I am extremely surprised and disappointed that you have posted such gibberish. Your points are hypocritical and contradictory, and you cannot have your cake and eat it too. You criticize France and the other western countries, but you are living comfortably in France and expressing your views freely on Nairaland without inhibition.

On the one hand, your writings lead me to suggest that you will support an African dictator who rules his country with an iron hand, kills dissidents and political opponents at will, restricts free speech and freedom of expression as long as that the dictator provides for his country with money that belongs to the country. On the other hand, you advocate African unity without realizing that the same dictatorial regime that you support breeds an atmosphere where unpredictability exists in government, where new ideas are not embraced, where people cannot unite and express their ideas, and which is the very reason there is no unity in Africa. How can you unite when you are hungry and being ruled by a coward who things that your country is his personal property?
Hello Prince, sorry but we can't be agree all the time, that's what it makes a debate: My point is simple, there's no perfect head of state in this Earth, now I know KHADDAFI made mistakes about his way to rule at the end of his life but please, I'm sorry again but Khaddafi is not the worst African, or President in this Earth, Georges W Bush and his guerrilla against so called "heavy weapon" which lead to a big mess now in irak deserves to be on top of the worst President, and the term of dictator is relative according to mood: OUATTARA created a rebellion which continues to kill ivoirians after Ggagbo capture and especially in the West of ivory Coast who supported him, who talks? explain me this please, what about Compaoré who killed SANKARA and everybody knows that and ruling Burkina Faso like his village? So my dear, don't try to do like some westerner media which are used to like facility

Tell me my dear which country lives better that Lybia? which country in Africa gave about 65 000 US dollard to young married people to buy a house and live their life, which African country pays important scolarships for their students abroad? and why Lybians ( and don't talk about dictatorship) are the people who less go abroad ( until now because you'll see they will go and these same "heros" will targeted them as immigrants later) than their African brothers?
You know I'm not here to have right, but to understand some illogical aspects of the evil painted portrait of the ONLY PRESIDENT who talked about AFRICAN UNION, the ONLY ONE WHO CREATE AFRICAN BANKS! What are the others African gvt has done for our Continent, while everyone is united except us? And I've noticed that each time that someone want Africa move forward, westerners are against, is tat a coincidence?
