Politics / Rivers: Wike Govern Us, Don't Murder Us by nddm: 1:37pm On Sep 28, 2015
The people of Kula community in Akuku-Toru Local Government Area, Rivers State, wishes to express their displeasure towards the state government and DSS for the manner with which there are handling the arms and murder case of Kenneth Dan (a notorious crime king-pin and murderer). The news of his arrest was greeted with joy and relieved the entire community from the fears and terrors associated with the evil acts he had been unleashing on the hapless community for years. But to our amazement the state government has decided to politicize the case and have given orders again for his release without trials or investigations.

The said Kenneth who is the lord behind the on-going sea piracy, pipe line vandalism and oil bunkering on Kula river and its environs has also been linked recently with the regrouping of youths for militancy, which the law confronted and caught him and his boys with arms. He was labelled innocent by the state governor, Wike, and was set free. On his released he descended heavily on the residents of Kula terrorizing our elders, women and youths, several of which had died as the result of his nefarious activities. Few days ago he was rearrested and charged for the murder of Chief Daomona Douglas, Mr.Tubotamuno Pokybo and Igonibo-Ofori Dabioju but governor Wike is interfering again to truncate our cry for justice.

We therefore call on the Federal Government and the Inspector General of Police to look into the case and rescue us from this murderer and his political godfathers. We also urge the State's DSS not to handle this case with kid gloves for he had been on the wanted lists of many security an law enforcement agencies before now, such attempts shall only result to mayhem and lawlessness in our community. Let the state governor desist from any political rascality that may plunge our peaceful community into chaos.

While inaugurating the state exco, the coordinator advised the national chairman, Samuel Odum, deputy chairman, Darrick Fiamasi, Secretary Ayiopiri Oxford and PRO, Comrade Emmanuel Ogerebipi to ensure that they executively to promote the ideals of the group which were intended to promote good governance within the Niger Delta.
